I was in the middle of cooking rice....like always it didn't come out right 😒 I go on UA-cam...find your video and decided to try it again and it worked! Thanks for sharing I've tried 1000000 times and this by far has been the one that worked for me. I'm so happy 😅
Awesome. Thank you! Every time I make jasmine rice the rice sticks to the bottom of the pan and is super sticky. This is the first time I've boiled it with this much water and it was perfect.
That's also the method i use but when i tried to upload the similar version to my own channel people said i was doing it wrong and it should be steamed.. I've always said boiling produces better results, other methods are not as full proof and the rice ends up stodgy but trying to get through to people wasn't working..I eventually removed the video..Great channel by the way..I had to subscribe..
Considering it's Jasmine rice which is a Thai rice traditionally it is supposed to be sticky. Me personally I love it sticky because that's the way I am used to eating it.
I thought as much that draining out the water and staring frequently is the only way to avoid jasmine sticking. I just got the rice for the first time and cooked it last night as instructed in the bag and it was sticky which i never knew jasmine rice does. Saw numerous UA-cam this morning and all still turned out sticky. I was wondering why non of them tried the draining out method. I continued watching and finally landed on someone who thought outside the box as i did. Nice video👍
Hi could you say the brand of jasmine. I think the brand matters. I have tried your way it was not as sticky as my previous times but it was not as grainy as yours. Well done, Natasha💕
I tried baking my Jasmine rice in a foil pan and it came out too soft for fried rice. I'll try it this way tomorrow and I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks for this recipe and we LOVE your voice! 💖💖💖
Usually I, clean the Jasmine rice and than I cook it. I had no strainer and I drain it from the pot. I cooked it incorrect, and now my friend is going to be disappointed with me. I have to practice my cooking. Friend want perfect rice. And I'm, far from perfection.
I've tried cooking Jasmine rice many different ways and this is by far the best way- nice and grainy !.. not at all sticky -THANK YOU !
So happy to hear. Thank you
Could you do this method with rice cooker as well?

@@TriniCookingwithNatasha thank you I will order it on Amazon because I do not think I will get it in Trinidad
Sorry 10 cups of water for 2cups of rice has got to be a typo for sure😮
I agree. What are the actual measurements
I definitely prefer this over sticky rice. So can high end rice cookers replicate this or is this the only way?
Thanks 🙏
I cant say for rice cookers as I don't have one. i always prefer boiling the rice in a pot.
Thank you
I tried your method. Was great, thanks!!!😊
Do you have a ricepe for basmati rice also?

Nope the opposite 10 water 2 rice.

Love Jasmine rice
Thanks so much
Perfect
Thats how my grandmother makes rice.
Why boil it, vwhy not steam it? Are you washing away the rice goodness by boiling rice
Oh, so that's her tip, to wash almost all the starch out first. I
think I'll try that.
My kids only eats Jasmine rice they don't like the smell of brown rice or white the brand of jasmine rice they like Royal Punjab .
My son to.
Perfect!
Why does your rice look uncooked and crunchy? 😮
It works and easier than other rice's that ends mashy rice
Needs skill to cook proper rice not easy as so many types out there 🤔
Nice!
