O rock não está morto!
The Warning são três irmãs mexicanas que começaram a fazer música muito jovem Alejandra (Ale. Baixo, backing vocals e teclado, a mais jovem - 16 anos), Paulina (Pau, baterista, backing / vocal principal e teclado, irmã do meio 19 ) e Daniela (Dany, Guitarra, vocal principal e teclado, com 21) as idades nessa publicação, todas aprenderam piano clássico a partir de 4-5 anos. Quando as mais velhas estavam com 6-8 anos ganharam o videogame Rock Band e se apaixonaram pela sensação de tocar rock. O pai perguntou se elas queriam aprender outro instrumento, além do piano e as meninas aproveitaram a oportunidade e escolheram os que tocavam no Rock Band.
Após aprenderem seus instrumentos individualmente, resolveram tentar tocar juntas como uma banda. Por volta de 2012 e começaram a fazer covers de bandas de hard rock e metal. Com o objetivo de mostrar sua evolução para os avós, que moravam em outra cidade, começaram a fazer upload dos videos no youtube , e um cover em particular os colocou no centro das atenções, o da música, "Enter Sandman" do Metallica e se tornou viral (atualmente mais de 22.000.000 visualizações) o que chamou a atenção do Metallica, Dee Snyder e The Ellen Show!
The Warning escreveu, compôs e gravou um EP chamado Escape the Mind em 2015 para vivenciar todo esse processo e determinar que tipo de música elas gostariam de fazer ... e ainda bem que escolheram o Rock / Hard Rock!
Elas realizaram uma série de shows pequenos e grandes depois e começaram a escrever e compor novo material para seu primeiro álbum completo XXI Century Blood em 2017.
Abriram alguns shows no México, para bandas como Def Leppard e The Killers, além de acompanhar outras grandes bandas de rock em alguns festivais de música.
Em 2018, escreveram e gravaram o disco conceitual Queen of the Murder Scene, tendo feito turnês no México e na América do Sul.
Até então os álbuns eram produções independentes, bancadas por campanhas de crowndfunding e patreons. Quando em agosto de 2020, o The Warning anunciou, após sete longos meses de negociações, que haviam assinado um contrato de cinco discos com a Lava Records, um selo da família Republic Records e Universal Music. Em setembro de 2020, o The Warning viajou para New Jersey, EUA, para começar os ensaios e, eventualmente, gravar seu terceiro álbum. Onde esta música Choke é a primeira a ser divulgada desse trabalho.
Para fechar o ciclo, participarão do álbum de 30 anos do Black Album do Metallica, onde tocarão a sua versão de Enter Sandman.

Great 1st time reaction to The Warning JOTA! Thank you for the English subtitles!! This is the 1st single off of their yet to be released 3rd full-length LP. From the drummer Paulina: "Choke is about being so overwhelmed by your feelings that you start to drown on them and choke on them and we really wanted the song to reflect that hopelessness you sometimes feel and just offer it to everyone as a safe place to feel those feelings and just like a place of comfort for them". The Villarreal sisters are amazing songwriters and performers who are truely grateful and endearing to all of their fans. Each one of their original songs is an absolute banger. Their second album, "Queen of the Murder Scene", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and psychosis and eventually suicide. It's a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI Century Blood" is also very good and is packed with great songs. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "Escape the Mind"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group last fall. We are all patiently awaiting their 3rd album release.
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (civil engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English speaking school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 5, 5 and 3 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. A year or so later, they got "real" instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history.
"Dust to Dust", the 1st song off of their second album should be next. I like the January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go the best. Funny how you caught what I caught about the girl hearing the song from what it would sound like hearing it underwater. I left basically the same observation in another reactor's comments a couple days after it was released. Looking forward to watching you discover this great band.

Descobri a The Warning faz pouco tempo, e fiquei impressionado com a qualidade das 3 irmãs mexicanas. CHOKE e EVOLVE são os melhores sons delas, escutei outras músicas tbm, algumas são meio chatinhas, mas elas são novas ainda e vão evoluir muito, pois elas tem entre 19 a 23 anos. Espero que o próximo trabalho delas seja mais pesado, pois tem potencial pra isso. Me tornei fã delas !!!
