I have the article on Herman warshaw and he was in 30-in r o w s and he chisel Cloud deep and he had sweeps on the back and on the side. And everything else was twist. I have that article and I will never get rid of it
There are some youtube videos of HW that might cover the same information. He started with less than 30 bu/a on that farm when he moved there. Threw the moldboard plow in the ditch. And never looked back.
I like the idea of strip tilling but what is a solution for the farmers who cannot afford a $100,000 strip tiller? What is a simple, affordable solution?
Add Chisel Shanks to the planter? Run the chisel plow ahead of the planter, matching intended planter rows? Jon Stevens Maple Grove Farms channel does strip till and I'm sure one of his videos shows how he is doing it.
Marion, it seems like you're using PPMx2 to show your results in lb/ac. I believe that only works for a 6" depth, since 6 acre-inches of soil weighs about 2 million pounds. Either way, the issue is real. My tests earlier this month showed 55-70% of the P AND K in the top 6", was in the top 2". In every sample location. Thanks for the video, Tom
@@robmiller2919 you aren’t farming. You aren’t even feeding yourself. You probably grow less than 1% of your own food. You are so unaware that it makes you seem stupid.

Quit putting on fertilizer.
Ah yes… the non farmer UA-camr knows more than the agricultural scientists. Amazing. Can’t wait to watch your presentation.
@aaronlohr8477 , I try to mine my soil until it won't produce anymore , no success yet.
