I love the design. When the 1980's Buck Rodgers was still new, I went to a theater where they showed the black and white movie one. I came out liking the older one more than the remake. I also came out with a real respect for the special effects artists from those golden years.

Given the cutting and the sanding involved, I would say "Flash" Gordon is a great name here! 😃

The sound of the rocketships in the serials always reminded me of an electric shaver.
I've got the FP Ajax from the 1980 film and Ranger 3 from Buck Rogers, both really nice kits and hardly any flash to clean up.

You did a great job on this classic, OG "War Rocket Ajax!"
The scene at 14:34 is a very interesting contrast of Science Fiction spaceships separated by four decades.

I agree about Buster Crabb. Nothin beats the original. Got ya subbed.

Yep, that’s is a nightmare cleanup. Anyone ever told you about a sonic saber? Lou Dalmaso and Phil Seagalmuse them to great effect in your exact predicament. Down side? They ain’t cheap..

Great Job mucker, looks like the original mould is on the fritz cos that had more flashing than a 1970s cup final.

I remember seeing these two kits reviewed on the Finescale Modeler website like … twenty years ago or so? If they're made from the same molds it's no wonder the kits are a bit wonky.

You got those fins looking straight, which is quite a trick in itself.
As much work as it was.. its still much much less work than turning it on a lathe and making all the attachments from wood
That's what the original prop guys would have done.
You tell young people today that and they don't believe you.

There is a lot of flash on those parts to be removed.

Ver interesting space ship, but without any panellines it looks a bit boring... The exhaustpipes seems to not fit right to the bodyoutlets..

I really enjoy the show. But why don't you invest in a camera stand. Here in American we have goodwill and in your country you have charity shop. Probably like goodwill. I paid to bucks for my camera stand. It will be alot easier have and extra hand.

You should have said - we could've shared the postage!!!
    Did postman pat "get you"?
Edit: Got to the parts run through - on second thoughts, I think I'll go the 3D route!
