Hi from Ireland! Thank you. You gave me the know how to tackle a full service myself. And with your confidence building videos I’m done! Including shaft removal and moto scan reset. You’re doing a great job!!! Thank you
Thanks for this. Can I ask which version of the app you purchased? It has an option for ultimate, but all it says is "Unlocks all features" - Would be nice to know what these are
When you counted the seconds to depress the brake pedal you stated that you need to do it for 2 seconds. You only counted 1 second. 1-2 is 1 second. 0-1-2 is 2 seconds. It is the gap that is important.
Bolt or screw? I thought it was differences in languages, British vs. USA. Google thinks otherwise. From google: bolts provide a tremendous amount of holding strength whereas screws offer a middle-ground for holding power. Light to medium construction projects, like for fencing or framing, are best for screws. Your heavy-duty projects are best for bolts. Stud bolts are used to connect two components together, with one end of the bolt threaded into one component and the other end threaded into the second component, while screws are used to fasten an object to a surface or to attach two components together with a nut or other threaded fastener
Hello, I have a 2006 R1200GS motorcycle that has an error in Anti Braking System (ABS). I downloaded MotoScan with Ultimate version but have a “No connection to control unit” error even with the ignition on. Can you help me solve this problem?
Hi OM just tried to use my Motoscan Ultimate App to power up my module, but it keeps saying Not available on the Lite version, which I don’t have,,,,any ideas please Cheers Baza
I’m not an expert. But the Moto scan app is an app for android phones only. It does work. I use it to reset my oil change settings and check for faults. You need a dongle and a dongle to BMW motorcycle adapter to connect to the bike’s data port.
@@gguff1061 If you do not have android, alternative is 911 tool... do the same functions, but costs approx. 300 Euro. Another alternative is adapter and software for PC.. but it is much more expensive.

That's not correct. Either can be threaded all the way. A bolt is something that is generally more finely threaded and has a fastener (a nut) either fixed by being part of the frame or separate, usually with a washer. You tighten it up usually with a spanner. A screw is just one unit which often is used on wood and the threads are spread out more so it can be used to drive it into place with friction and slight cutting in if going into aluminium or plastic. These are usually tightened up with a cross head driver.

A bolt is meant to be used with a nut, and it is tightened by torquing the nut. @@ArcanePath360 Understood! Except that you can purchase bolts and screws with the same size of thread and head but different lengths. After a certain length they are considered to be bolts when they are not threaded all the way up. Look at the way vendors list them. As I said, all very confusing. For example, two plates being bolted together can be achieved by the same screw / bolt. It can use a nut or a threaded hole.
A screw is threaded and inserted into a threaded hole, either pre threaded or threaded by the screw itself. A bolt is not necessarily threaded at all, or partially so, fastened by a threaded nut. It is not inserted into a threaded hole. That’s my two cents!

A screw is threaded all the way to the head and a bolt is partially threaded. No difference is made by the head shape or fastner type. 🙂

You have highlighted why there's generally confusion over the question. My answer is technically correct.@@ArcanePath360
