I didn't expect you to upload this level to your channel, thank you Viprin for uploading it. This is one of my top 1 favorite extreme demons, the decoration is incredible, the gameplay may be very difficult but the decoration is the best I have ever seen

Dude the detail in this is impressive. It feels like just the right amount of objects so that it doesn't feel cluttered.when overdecorated or hollow when underdecorated. What impressed me the most is the parallax, you can really see the depth in the enviornment and the team nailed the movement for it. Awesome stuff!

Oh I disagree. The entire style of the decoration is composed of styles from previous levels, and the gameplay is just The Golden but harder. It looks alright but I don’t think there’s much originality. It’s trying so hard to be The Golden gameplay (but different) with KOCMOC deco (but different). Not my cup of tea personally.
@@L0ad1ng45 The original commenter meant the theme is unique (crystal cavern) compared to other top demons (heck, crystal theme is pretty rare in general nowadays). Yeah, it is inspired by The Golden, but... that is kinda the point gameplay wise? I also really don't see how this looks anything like KOCMOC. Just because it is purple? And it is not like "realism" style is unique to any specific level (and I would argue KOCMOC is more of an effect level than realistic).
@@gdoverlorder Rewatch Viprin’s video of KOCMOC, specifically the part starting at 50%. You can also watch a video of Hallucinate, which uses that exact style for the whole thing. Or Empyrean for that matter. Hallucinate was very clearly an inspired level, which is why I didn’t use it as an example. The entirety of Amethyst is emulating styles already used in other levels, most notably Kivvi’s deco style and Bo’s gameplay style. And while amethyst itself might not be common, it falls in the same category as other gems, a theme which is NOT uncommon. Crystal by Zeronium, Crystal Corridor by Knots, Opal by Bianox, Lustre by G4lvatron, etc etc etc. I maintain that Amethyst isn’t doing anything genuinely original or unique.

Also, I think that something like Eternal Night has a handful of similarities, but did it way better while also being truly original, not blatantly emulating other popular levels. Even something like Silent Acropolis has a few atmospheric similarities, and I know that obviously Silent Acropolis is a direct remake of a popular level, but that’s precisely what it’s advertising itself as, a high quality remake. It’s not advertising itself as a completely unique and original level.

It is emulating The Golden's gameplay because the whole project started as a fun layout based on it. This doesn't make the theming less original, and the deco less high quality either. But we clearly have very different tastes because I've always found Eternal Night painfully generic (I know it is getting redecoed, but the original is just an average glow level with average flow gameplay, salvaged by a fantastic song and decent transition art).

I hope this can be top 1 someday, if there are no issues with the gp or lag it would probably be one of the top 5 or top 3 best top 1s imo. Might even get a legendary rating. Its clear how much effort it has compared to almost any other past top 1

Pretty neatly made, I like how the block designs and colors are done. But the only problem is that it is a little monotonous, the creator needs to fix this. And it deserves the rate, its legendary :)
