    Thank you Deb for making this block and your rulers available to me and definitely for your tutorials. These tools have made me a much better quilter and making me a more confident quilter. I have all of your rulers and now the sky is the limit. You are brilliant and a game changer!!❤

    I just found your videos. They are excellent, and have introduced me to a whole new world. I am a very beginner quilter. I started making I spy quilts for my grandchildren, just 4 1/2 inch blocks of two matching squares. They can use it as an I spy, and a matching quilt. I put the soft minky material on the back, and they love it. I have wanted to branch out, and I am loving how the quilts that look so complicated, have such fun and easier ways to make them. You are a wonderful teacher. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

      That is a great way to start. Work from there trying new things. We love to make easy quilts that look hard. We do have some hard ones but our goal is to make quilts that are accessible for everyone to make. I am glad to hear that the videos are helping. I can't wait to see how your quilting journey goes.

    Another great block. I’ve missed your innovative blocks. So glad to see you back. When you press your corners what do you do about the diagonal seem on the one that gets pressed toward the center?

    • @DebTuckersStudio180Design

      Oh thank you! Generally when I'm putting blocks together and the seams don't nest perfectly, I default to pressing them open. If one were to make a 56" strip set for the 12" finished block size would it be preferable to piece the strip from the cross grain or cut the strips from the straight of grain?

    • @DebTuckersStudio180Design
      @DebTuckersStudio180Design  Місяць тому +1

      Sticking with cutting them on the straight of grain will make the outside edges just a bit more stable than if they are cut on the cross grain.

    Can the smaller size blocks be made with the Tucker Trimmer 1?

    • @DebTuckersStudio180Design
      @DebTuckersStudio180Design  Рік тому

      Yes, the smaller blocks can be done with the Tucker Trimmer 1. We didn't reference it on the sheet as you can't make the larger units with it. But the 6" and under blocks you can make with the Tucker Trimmer 1.
