How the 49ers Embarrassed Aaron Rodgers and the Packers
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 лис 2019
- This week’s film breakdown analyzes the San Francisco 49ers 37-8 beat down of the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers, is prolific NFL Quarterback, but the 49ers defense completely embarrassed him and held him to a measly 104 yards passing. How did the 49ers use their scheme and talent to eliminate the Packers? Using the coaches all-22 game film, this video goes in depth to answer the question.

If you had an MVP vote for each side of the ball, who on the 49ers would you vote offensive MVP and defensive MVP?
Kyle Shanahan and Deforest Buckner or Fred Warner.
Honorable mention: Mark Nzeocha
Offensive MVP is easy that would be Kittle
Defensive MVP Arik Armstead because his game is insane this year
Kittle for MVP. Defense - Nick Bosa his qb pressure and hurries is best in the league. When you hurru a qb it forces them bad decisions and forces them to other Dline. Armstead taking control of thst.
AlexRollinsNFL how do I increase my football IQ? I wish I knew as much as you did
Offense- Kittle
Defense: Warner
End of story.
"It sure helps when the other team is running a crappier version of your offense" 😂😂😂
Great value version of shanahans offense
In fairness, Lafleur has done a good job in his first year. Packers should improve if they can draft well, etc.
That made me laugh as well 😂
@@khathn4200 don't disrespect great value like that
It's a Chinese knock off of the west coast offense.
When your a skins fan and you realized you had three good head coaches on your team that were all better then jay gruten
It baffles me that Gruden was the coach and they let all those coordinators slip away

Edit to your title... How the 49ers Embarrassed the Packers twice 😂😂
5 times in total with Kapernick and Alex Smith
I can't say I'm much of a niners fan. I mostly watch Cowboys and Steelers. With that said, this channel does an amazing job at breaking down schemes. It is SO informative. I use some of this info to help train my oldest boy. Even though he's just a HS linebacker, there are some solid lessons here. Many thanks!
Wow, this is the most insight I've ever had into football
Excellent stuff here as usual. I rewatched the game and couldn’t figure out the Packers coverage on Kittle’s TD. You nailed it. Thanks.
Better and more thorough analysis than ESPN. Well done, Alex.
were a field goal from being undefeated
Two field goals smh

McLaughlin was playing in the Seahawks game. Gould was playing this game. Although Gould had the chance, I wouldn't attribute our loss to him just because of the poor time management and playcalling by Shanahan in the game's latter half.

On some of these defensive schemes I think Kyle is helping out.. That was a great break down on the back end play between the two defense..

Great breakdowns! You and Brett Kollmann are the two kings of football breakdowns!!
These vids are amazing. It beautiful how football works and how head coaches like shanny are geniuses on putting players in position to make other assignments work. Its super entertaining. Thank you keepem coming Go Niners
My man, keep this level of quality work and you're gonna land a job with some NFL entity by next year, hopefully the niners cuz you'd be my favorite analyst by far. Shit I'd even say you could easily, EASILY get your foot in some sort of coaching door with a NCAA team at worst. Props my dude.

AlexRollinsNFL can you analyze what the saints did to score in the niners?
@@AAli220 I analyzed the 49ers offense against the Saints defense in that game, in my How the 49ers create explosive plays on offense episode. I'd put that game more on Marcell Harris and Akhello than anything else
Subscribed. (And the only football related channel I've subscribed to.) Your play and formation analysis has made an amazing and much enjoyed game even more enjoyable. Love learning more and more about this unique and deceivingly intellectual ball game.
The more I think about this game the more there is to ponder and appreciate and the more you realize how unique it is compared to other ball games. Here's my latest mini-revelation, from yesterday. It pertains to that crazy shape for the ball, perhaps similar only to one other ball game: rugby. So maybe rugby is similar to this otherwise unique aspect among ball sports... In American football it (and perhaps rugby) is the only sport where the ball is generally not meant to bounce. In soccer, tennis, baseball, etc. the ball always bounces during play, and predictably. Generally, during all plays in the game of football there is no ball bouncing involved - instead only passing and carrying. The only time in football when the ball bounces in play is during an (unintended) fumble or during a kick or punt return - and in those cases it is DESIGNED to bounce wildly and unpredictably by virtue of the strange shape of the ball. Just one of many things making football different from other ball sports.
Love this game, for over 40 years, and love that I'm still learning more about it - helped by excellent videos by Alex Rollins!
Thank you Robert! Still plenty I don't know which makes it exciting to keep learning myself, glad you're finding the videos useful
that awkward moment when you get embarrassed by your childhood team hehe
This is a whole new level of enjoying football.
Lol "crappier version of the same offense" had me in tears
This video has relieved any second thought I had about the 49ers chances on in the Championship game. they're going to kill'em.
Hmm... Yeah, about that..
This is a game I feel will come down to who will make less mistakes and control time of possession. Ravens have basically fatigued defenses all season of a heavy volume of runs, and run offs from decoys on pass plays to allow a window to make 1 or 2 reads and see if he's spies to take off. I don't think this is a game we'll see both teams usual tendencies. That comes down to game planning and in game adjustments where you have to include some new looks on offense of both teams.
I am beginning to understand football thanks
7:28 SAVAGE...lol
And at no point did it ever occur to Rodgers that maybe they should lean on the run a little more. This is why Pack drafted Love and AJ Dillon. They want to become a power run offense but Rodgers wont let it happen.
Time to go embarrass the Ravens
I hope so
That would be legendary. I do hate that it's raining 😑

@@AlexRollinsNFL here's to Bosa's ACL
The more I look at this it isn't the D-Line that impress me but it's the DBs.
While the DB have been impressive, I don't know how anyone could be more impressed by them, than the level of havoc the defensive front has been causing all season long..
Do you have videos like this for the Giants on Patreon?
All my videos are on my channel, my patreon has plays from playbooks broken down, articles and videos to help my supporters learn more about the game
Niners defense has had issues against scrambling quarterbacks. Lost against the ravens, lost once against the Seahawks and came close to losing the second one, and two close ones against the Cardinals. And that’s what they’re facing in the super bowl.
1:49 dude got tossed
Wow, who put together that coaching staff in Washington?
You can't tell me that Matt Lafleur isn't just a smaller younger literal genetic clone of Kyle Shanahan.
The similarities are uncanny
He's not. I can see some similarities but I realize it's seen that way because of how frequent both using their Tight Ends. Packers need to move on from Jimmy Graham. The rest of what LaFleur does is makes your defense react to open the middle of the field. Unfortunately Aaron for most of his career has made a fortune and feasted on passes near sidelines or edges of boundaries otherwise. Personnel often dictates what's called based on how pass defenses try to defend then. 49ers lives by pressuring with 4 and using Cover 3 a lot like the Panthers of 2016, the SB team and what's the trend now is using stunts upfront and Cover Zero behind it. Kyle uses the TE to influence defenses with either the Texas route or an intermediate crosser/post or post corner like Kittle scored on with that burner concept. A team that infamously used that was the two tight end Patriots when they had both Hernandez and Gronk. That personnel look was as you can recall a nightmare to stop especially if that offense has a running game. Packers lack balance and are sadly guilty of not utilizing Jones more to soften a defense up for Aaron. I thought the Niners would struggle from the safety position, but hoped the front 4 would quicken the clock in Aaron's head, make him feel uncomfortable in pocket and hurry his decisions during pass plays. And like they have this season, they were effective yet again. Ravens I bet will try to force Saleh's hand by using 1 of his 11 to spy Jackson. Only he also should know that cant be on every play. I would only do that on 3rd downs.
@@rubinturner8233 thanks for the analysis, it's pretty good. But I meant in appearance and nothing else.
Rubin Turner awesome knowledge thank you
@@ivanrivera5187 👍
I'm so glad we ended up getting Bosa.
"Yet to face their stiffest test?" Calm down with the superlatives. I mean sure, GB was 8-2 but compared to going against a division rival with significant post-season ramifications while undefeated and without a star tight end just feels like a stiffer test.
And now it's a rematch :) #superbowlbound #ninernation
8:14 "....who runs like Rich Eisen." OUCH. Brutal! LOL
With the rain in Baltimore it'll only get harder to beat the ravens. Go Niners. We have to replicate this peformance against the ravens
I think the Mud Bowl vs the Redskins will serve as good preparation for this game. The 49ers are a physical team that can power run and play defense too. They also got to practice in the rain this week. Might actually make it easier to stop Lamar who will run it even more but won't be able to cut like he usually can and will probably fumble a few times. The 49ers are at the top in forced fumbles a game and are great in the red zone. They also have one if the most effective and diverse running games in the NFL, 2nd in scoring. These are 2 great teams from top to bottom and neither will have an advantage in the rain. It will come down to who wants it more and will be determined in the trenches, who's offensive and Defensive lines will establish dominance. Very physical hard nosed game. Let's just pray there are no injuries
@@EternalCreator I agree. The only thing that scares me is our 19th ranked run defense. Richie James did a good job simulating Lamar Jackson this week I heard. We'll find out tomorrow Go Niners
Super!
Well broken down buddy
Love coach SHANAHAN
If Kyle Murray had success what do you think LJ will do????
Great video. But the background music gets annoying after a few minutes. Maybe it could be quieter?
Thanks for the extremely reasonable and helpful comment John. Some people are just a tad more aggressive. Will definitely make some changes to the music.
Just a reminder that this was in the regular season and before they tore it up in the playoffs and didn't even had to throw the football.
7:23 this play was run against the giants the following week and it worked for a touchdown. This game honestly came down to coaching and not ability. 49ers whooped our ass and I knew it had nothing to do with Greenbay being a good team. We got out coached.
It's a great play, and a staple of both offenses. The 49ers know how to prepare for it, and knew the Packers were going to use it. You'll probably see it just about every week
Well, hopefully the "D" steps up against Lamar Jackson/Baltimore...if not, OH MY! It will be a long day!
Just hoping that Jimmy G plays within himself and doesn't go out trying to make a great play...ON EVERY PLAY...
Imagine this team with Aaron Rodgers.
Haha I know it might sound silly but I would've never known what Cover 3 sky, Cover 1 thief or robber, Cover 3 buzz and etc; what each player's assignments and adjustments are if it wasn't for the Madden games I've played until now. Can't believe I'm saying this🤦
It's not silly, Madden's probably the best teacher there is for this type of stuff. Teddy Bridgewater uses it to learn playbooks

i wish you were active a few years ago. Can you do a analysis on the 2015 6-0 Broncos Vs 6-0 Packers
I'll look into old games in the offseason, great idea
My boy Aaron from Chico tho😭 NorCal team beat a NorCal quarter back
Take notes bears satff
'embarrass' is the right word for it. They were outcoached. But since the arrogant Rogers is convinced he should be a coach on the field, his lack of decision-making was exposed too, along with his declining skills. arm strength, accuracy, legs, decisionmaking, all on the decline. Rogers is an above average qb. He could use a coach that tells him in no uncertain terms, "Do your job". But he wont allow it.
Finally the 49ers get good they were embarrassing a lot of years
It happens with most teams. It's set up to keep one team from being dominant or shit forever
Yeah I know the nfl is scripted I just hope they script my packers to win
See you again this postseason.
