@Khani Makhanani Not entirely true. Remember Christianity came to Africa 1500 years before colonialism and Slavery. And we need to get out of the mentality of always defining black history with Slavery and colonialism. Our history doesn't begin there, and our History with Christianity doesn't start there either. Half truth is deception.

@@B4Africa what cud be 100% to you may only be 50% true for others. Same goes to realities around when or how the phenomenon got to some both superficially and substantively. In my part of the world, by the time christian religion reached my ancestors, both immediate and at least 6 generations ago, already a colonial weapon wt all its attendant isms. May not have been the same for you, and its ok.

Makwande badala 🙏🏾We were indoctrinated to be workers and not entrepreneurs. In Zimbabwe the white farmers forced their sons to go to agricultural college which was founded by them to make sure in every generation there was someone to make money from the stolen land.

For the first time in our lifetime where we have an alternative, where we get the leverage decolonize ourselves from christian indoctrination, we don't need christians here to defend their concepts, god and faith to cause chaos in the studio, surely we are not here to listen for debate but to receive knowledge from an afrikan/ bantu perspective otherwise we will lose the essence of what is taught here. Anyway they do have their christian platform let's keep them there for now and enjoy the teachings and knowledge from the grandmaster Thau Thau without a man god's interference.

"The meek (Africans) shall inherit the earth but not its resources" is what was made pretty clear in the christianisation of the black race.
Interesting episode, glad to see Grand master back. Speaking of African Spirituality and having our own IKS which have been suppressed, could we invite Dr Zulumathabo Zulu. He's published books on African Mathematics and even a Sesotho mathematics dictionary. I think it would be valuable to have both him and the Grand master speaking on the intersections of both spirituality and mathematics/science/cosmology in African history and culture.

Africans have lots if written stuff in the caves etc. I just discovered that there are paintings in Drakensberg Mountains that are very old. I think also in Gqeberha there are writings, etc. Every where in Caves you may find written stuff. The only thing is understanding those images or letters. Language has not evolved that much for most people so we can still make sense of those writings.
So history was not only orally but also in written format.

I hear you guys talking about Ubuntu, which is something far from the modern Africans , or let alone the one's that lived before us , honestly speaking I've not been certain about this christian religion long before I started listening to this type of teachings , our way of life has been tempered with , and it will take more than you guy's just talking about it to have our minds and our daily lives liberating, how do you get everyone not to do 9 to 5s when they think of form of progressing as having a nice car , eating out at restaurants, wearing foreign brands life style as we call it ? People study for different fields so they can be able to afford this life and experience the form of success that they are aspire to experience, honestly speaking I feel like as much as y'all think you on to something you also taking two steps back , yall rising like everyone else "the man who knows it all knows nothing at all " my experience with the so called African religions or people who practice it ,they be bewitching and taking other peoples luck , everybody whose blessed with certain power's seems to be using their power's in a wrong manner , your last question was about how we still intact with our families, the concept of Ubuntu is way too hard to practice but you guy's as rastafarians are close to it because you practice peace , honestly speaking this confuses a lot of us as much as people in the comments may seem to be understanding this stuff , as there really hope for an African child ? It's sickening for me to call this land Africa , whose Africa ? We keep pointing out the problems we facing but not getting any closer to the truth , is there really a right way for us to live , how sure are you guys on the path you in , you keep saying we translate isintu but you trying to make us understand who we are in English , who are you doing it for ? Firstly we cant really understand each others languages how we suppose to live the Ubuntu in our daily lives , the day you all start talking with your Homeland languages, we will be getting closer to liberating ourselves , I feel like y'all do it for public recognition more than to liberate , I love your analysis but the journey is still long , uno ndi Raphulu, tshiheni , mudau , I'm just crying out loud and I'm also seeking

You could have commented in one of the African languages. But then you would be back to square one because your audience would be somewhat restricted. Meanwhile, as an AFRICAN PEOPLE we should always try to see the glass as being at least half full rather than being at least half empty.

I understand the point you’re trying to make. However if they conducted the podcast in an indigenous language most of us wouldn’t be able to grasp the knowledge that is being shared.

Africans need to find their way outside of the conforms of the European heritage, we need to do away with European methods of praying and performing our traditional ways

As a Christian, the answer to your question sir is yes. Yes, mengihleli ngedwa without all the bells and whistles of the world I can truly say that Jesus is my Lord and saviour and He is enough for me

So your saviour is a white jewish man , and your holy book is a bible written by Europeans , and that is enough for you , I call you a coward , ignorant and a fool , you choose to ignore African spiritually , for the religion of your conquerors and colonialists , you are now a mercenary for Europe complicit with the destruction of Africa

I think Christians should be invited to come defend their views on their religion.

Very interesting discussion! The God of the Bible is good, bad, evil, supports downpression, slavery, yet gracious, full of mercy….and these Christians and some Rastas find excuses to support that madness.
I don’t think we need an African church per say but African institutions that teach African philosophy from different parts of Africa. One can then develop their own spirituality, only you can find your way, the path you came here to travel on. Religion can be destructive as well as good but I think diminishes the level of spiritual development one reaches.
