Just a quick comment about that Muchmore solder jig (mostly used for soldering wire + bullet connectors, but also somewhat useful for other connectors, i.e. Deans, XT60, etc.) ... You're better off going with something else. Why? This Muchmore jig is a solid block of aluminum. Which is a good conductor of heat. So basically, your jig becomes one big heat sink pulling the heat away from the bullet connector. Worst case scenario is a cold solder joint that appears to be working and fails at the worst possible time (For Jason, that would be at Cactus Classic 2017 when he's just about to pass Cavalieri with 30 seconds to go in the eBuggy A Main!!) What are your options? Two come immediately to mind: 1) Make your own, starting with a solid block of ABS, Delrin (Acetal), Acrylic, Nylon, PTFE, etc. and using a drill press to make holes for the bullet connectors. 2) ProTek makes a carbon fiber jig that looks like it would work great (I do not have actual experience with this device): www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-carbon-fiber-soldering-jig-ptk-5340/p424738 Good Luck!
I have the Protek Carbon Fiber Jig and it works great, has really strong springs that hold the object well. it is perfect for xt60's xt90s, deans etc! Before I had that I always used a crescent wrench to hold my connectors. The metal did not touch what I was soldering so there was no heat loss.

Depends on budget....I really like my LRP flow works team and any of the reedy motors.....

if you keep your motor under 165 degrees the life expectancy can be measure in seasons if not years!
