@@victordrew7927 welcome! Thanks for your kind words! There is indeed a lot of UA-cam advice. I like to share what worked for me, because maybe it works for other small channels as well. I am curious, what are your plans with UA-cam? #curious
@@tube-master My goal is 50 subs by the end of the year (very difficult, I know), and hopefully reach 1,000 before 2026. With monetization, I would grow the channel to be a permanent supplement to my primary career. I'm actually a scientist, but this career doesn't exactly pay as much as I'd hoped (even with a Ph.D.). But since I'm pretty knowledgeable of the academic industry, I figured I'd use my insight to provide information (and words of caution) for those interested in entering academia. My channel is called Academics Anonymous.
@@victordrew7927 my first 50 susbs came the slowest, but if you already have an audience you can have it in 1 day. I think if you bring value and post consistently you can get there pretty fast. Just dont give up. Interesting channel topic. Looking forward to see how it turns out for you

@@tube-master Exciting! I'm making a little more progress on my watch hours too. I'm trying to learn how to analyze the data and make tweaks to improve my results. It's fun like a grown up game! Figure out the algorithm, learn cool editing tricks, jump on trends....Lol.
