This song instantly reminded me of when I was in Cambodia visiting a massive undergroud blue lake. Tony is such an inspiration for me. I would never been a composer if I had not discovered his music. That's the massive impact he is having on people.

Just googled Eyra Moon, and an article about this song just blew my mind... here's an excerpt.
"I just finished a project with the American composer Tony Anderson. Something that changed me as a singer and soul forever. He asked me to collaborate on his track “Cambodia” for his new album “Nuit”, to sing a story without words. The topic was his trip to Cambodia. He and his friend found a little boy in the mud with a head wound. Abandoned by his parents he was kept alive by street dogs who shared the food for their puppies with him. A horrific story that moved be to the bone. When I was recording the vocals in the studio I suddenly ‘sat down’ with the boy in the mud. Held it in my arms. Whispering: “Hey yeah”, meaning; “From now on everything will be alright, I’m here for you”. It was painful and raw when the notes came out and weird “words” were formed. I felt vulnerable and emotional after the first takes and suddenly understood what a great impact music has! It can transform horrific tales like these into something beautiful so the energy of it will be released. I felt an immense freedom afterwards."
Cambodian people are called Khmer. And yes, I am Khmer. This song consists of many renovated sounds derived from ones produced by various Khmer musical instruments. This is amazing.

Bro everything in this theme has a simply incredible meaning, there is nothing more that makes "noise" and nothing "less" that makes u expect for more. Loving this so much. It totally goes with the Nuit album vibe but then again it's sooo unique and different. Never heard anything like it. Every time I listen to it it's like I'm Literally in another Country walking though the jungle or walking through the markets full of people in Cambodia. Not that I know how it looks like haha. Love this so much. I lived in Cambodia for almost 8 years, and I love how you incorporated some instruments that sound native to the country, like the "roneat" (xylophone) and the "kong thom" (traditional gong/chime set). As well as what I believe are samples of people speaking the Khmer language. It sounds like a kid is saying "Tah yeung!" which means let's go! Beautiful work, Tony.

Hey Brandon! Not a recent trip - it was in 2010. I was working with a safe house for rescued trafficking victims called Rapha House and my time was SO incredible in country. I met so many good friends along the way and learned so much about Southeast Asia in general. It absolutely was the turning point in my life that showed me how vast, dense and beautiful the world was outside of what I knew here in the US. The people softened my heart.

After coming out of vision, the singing here has sounded very harsh and discordant. I have seen companies of angels, who stood in a hollow square, everyone having a harp of gold.
