Valve has a rich history of making beloved games including Half-Life, Portal, and Left 4 Dead. One of its most popular games is the online first-person shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which launched in 2012, and became a hit with the esports community. Since then, Valve has supported it tremendously, but now, it seems like a fully-fledged sequel may be in the works. Referred to as Counter-Strike 2, this new supposed sequel aims to change things from the previous entry in major ways. Here’s what we know about the supposed Counter-Strike 2.

I know i might be the only person with this opinion but i think they haven't improved a lot compared to CS GO. I mean the new CS2 looks too much colourful and cartoonish in many instances.
Infact, in some cases, I really prefer CS GO graphics. Especially the C4 explosion, the Smoke texture, the maps exposure and the environment interaction.
They took almost 10 years from CS GO so i was expecting improvements such as
1. Better gun physics (accurate reload times depending upon guns and recoils)
2. Improved Guns and Map textures.
3. More interaction with the environment.
4. Improved gameplay and overall physics (Player movement speed decreases when he is hit. Accuracy reduces upon hit. Range of throwing grenades affecting depending upon the damage. Close grenade explosion causes temporary (5 sec) dizziness. Better punch and knife movements. Better grenade throwing movements.
5. More guns and charachters in squads.
6. They should have atleast improved the gun mechanics, the environmental textures & movement physics.
According to me Valve would have made graphics like pubg and Warzone for CS2
And including all the mechanic improvement that you have suggested
Valve realizes that the cs community is mentally I’ll and will play the same shit over and over for 20 plus years lol I was excited when they announced cs2 but seeing that it’s just a reskin and nothing is really different made me sad

I always love how valve is able to make their map and graphics extremely crisp and non distracting without loosing any detail or realism

I just noticed, thay added a sound detection ring to the minimap, like in valorant, to see up until where your enemies will hear you

@@moneyong5451 it's better for newer players. in cs:go you have no idea whether you got the kill unless you look all the way in the bottom left corner.
@@synlion Firstly, just look at the killfeed and have a memory of more than 20 seconds. Also, it's the bottom right, and not that hard to spot.

So basically it's Counter Strike 2.0. Sort of like Overwatch 2. Still looks great though, they played it safe because they already know what works since it's the most popular game
Overwatch 2 barely has much differences compared to cs2 tho
It is huge overhaul with lot of potential in future. But yeah they won't make new game, it is pretty much perfect.

Csgo just broke a record last month. 11 years after release, it had 1,320,219 concurrent players on February 11th. It's literally more popular now than it ever has been, and this was before csgo2.
@@JC-tg5xx the entire gameplay is changed with 3 new heroes, changed to 5v5 which required many characters to be reworked, including moving a dps over to a tank role, removed a game mode, added a new one, added new maps, and has an overall completely different feel to ow1 and more. Theres no way you think ow2 has less differences compared to cs2. Csgo's formula is so good though there is no need to change it.

Itz quite huge i have a 1060 3gb get ab ish 300 on normal cs and source 2 limited test i got around 80-170 motsly around 120 on hige but the fps is not really constant and that really anoyed me other than that there is a few bugs but nothing game braking it also feels more resposive👍
@@asr1el942 i can confrim i have 320-270 fps all the time on csgo i wonder were u get that from🤣 i can even run cs2 with mostly 120fps but the thing is it goes up and down all the time one s i have over 200fps the next it drops to 90fps then 140fps and so on if it was stable example around 120-140 it would be amazing
My cpu is pretty good tho it is just the grapich card thats getting old :/
Cs2 is very playable with my rig but the fps is far from stable this is on hige settings 16:9 1080p btw

Is it just me or anyone who got acces to source 2 owns at least 1 skin even if the skin is not very expensive and it is pink/purple or red, and those who own skins didn't get acces to the new source because they only play Faceit or ESEA

@@bn0372subticks means everything you do/did is a timestamp the server that can process your actions like shooting, moving, and etc. the server still uses tick, the client sents a timestamp of actions.
@@asr1el942this cs2 tickless does not mean absolute tickless, the server still have tick system to process timestamp to validate your actions, the client, indeed is using subtick system, every actions you did is stamped everytime. the server then process and validate check your actions at X tick, if something is suspicious in your actions, the server will cancel your actions.

It’s more of an engine update to a decade+ old game, modernising it. Similar to what overwatch did but with more changes than overwatch.

It will be as long as they use source code, surfing is just a specific interaction with slope physics.

I don't see any difference, except some visual effects. Why it has "2" in the title?
Visual overhaul, HUD overhaul rebalances, new physics, new smoke, TICKLESS SERVERS, new audio system, comp changes, and more maps.
even if it didn't have as much new things, the counter-strike has (intentionally) not changed much about their gameplay since the first because it already works (especially in an esports setting) and is insanely solid. if it aint broke dont fix it
