    Hey Jon ... this is fantastic. We've had flow available to us for some time but not much use until this video. I want to thank you so much as we have a feedback form just sitting there and then have done nothing to it. In one video you have changed everything and we now have multiple forms that are now visible to the business through Power BI. You've turned me into a superhero. Thank you so much.

I created a survey for one of my workflows that has been manual in the past, and this will definitely put us on the path to streamlining!     2. Meeting is tentative at this stage;
    3. Specific people in our organisation approve this request;
    4. As part of approval from specific people email was sent back to organiser to fill up the form about catering requirement, for instance;

    Is that even possible with Power Automated / Flow?

    Hey Jon. I have layered audits set up for my organization and people are grouped up in teams. I used forms but I'm trying to build a flow to send out automatic responses to the individuals team to where they can view the responses for that form that was submitted? Please help.

      @@JonJLevesque ok so, I have a form created. There are 20 teams that fill out the form but only one person from each team completes the form. I'd like to set up a flow to where when a team member submits their form, an automatic response in an email "view responses" is sent to the rest of that persons team. Everyone has the same company email address. How do I get the flow to work where when a response is submitted, an email with the results is sent to only that team?

      Abraham, you should ask this in the Flow community - aka.ms/flowcomm - try to build it and post where you get stuck and they will help!

    Can you make a video on some of the functions for excel online in flow. Maybe even combining it with answers from forms

    Hi Jon. I have been watching your video and that have been really good! However, I am still relatively new to Forms and Flow and I am trying to figure out something within Flow. I am trying to figure out a way to send an email where the FROM field is actually the user's email address. I have a specific business case where I need this to happen and I don't want the from email address to by my email address. I tried using the From (Send as) field with the Responders' Email selected for that field, but I receive an error in my email saying "You don’t have permissions to send emails on behalf of [user email address]. Contact [user email address] to check shared mailbox permissions and gain access." Do you know if there is a way to do this within Flow at all? Thanks!

    • @JonJLevesque
      @JonJLevesque  5 років тому +1

      Unfortunately you can’t make a Flow to send on behalf of others. That would be a huge security flaw :(
      You can use the flow mail service though or a sendgrid account if you want to not send from you

    I have built a form to use as a sign up sheet. Is there a way to limit how many people can sign up for a certain date? I have tried so many different things to get this to work
    I can do it in google forms. But prefer the way that the Microsoft for looks and feels just need a way to do this.

    • @JonJLevesque
      @JonJLevesque  5 років тому

      You’ll want to have a list of “available” dates somewhere else and have the flow check against that list when setting a date

    What's the advantage of sending the data to power BI dataset instead of just processing/sending it to excel or email?

    I keep getting an Error (400) when I try to test my Flow. The Power BI function doesn't let me map the fields one to one as Jon does in the video. Instead after I define my workspace/dataset Ect. it asks me to add dynamic content to the "Payload". This is where the error occurs every time. Thoughts?
