My dad bought me a table top Hockey game called "Powerplay Hockey" for Christmas in the early 90's. I remember my dad, my uncle and I played it for hours that Christmas morning. Thanks for the great memories dad!
I know I will probably get lit up for this one but I love the Super Chexx bubble hockey. Something about the heavy duty arcade game, plexiglass bubble, sound effects, jumbotron style scoreboard. Me and my brother had a Stiga as a kids in the 80s/90s and it was great! I really like their implementation of behind the net play with the Stiga tables. Later got one in college and it was a dorm room hit but there is just something about seeing that classic USA vs USSR Miracle on Ice throwback Super Chexx in the arcades back then that was extremely exciting. Even now whenever I see a little collection on arcade games at an ice arena or Chucky Cheese or something I immediately pan the area looking for that iconic coin op bubble of Super Chexx bubble hockey.
@@stpierreorama Unfortunately, Rick Benej is retiring and isn't going to be making them anymore . But he is trying to find someone to carry on in his stead.

Table hockey is absolutely the greatest sports simulation game ever invented.

Why get lit up for this ? Chexx is the best of the best looking and playable games I have ever seen.
Thanks for posting. Remember playing this as a kid.
Fantastic story, Rob Raven is a real great guy who helped me build my table hockey game collection.
That game must have one pile of parts to maintain with the various angles the goalie moves on as well as the other players.
What is the brand they are playing on at the end of the video that they refer to as the rolls Royce?

Fun times! No elbows or high sticking
Hey Peter... How old is this video? Cool video!
Addy Saeed I would say in the middle 1990's
@@TheLawl26 The video games said NHL97 on the side, so probably 1996-97 I would guess.
I also saw NHL 98 in there, which was released in September of 97, so it can't be any earlier than that.
Chris Weinke was a sophomore at Florida State in 1998
Tabletop Hockey Rules
