Fantastic job with this and the perfect vantage point. You've captured the full band and the background graphics with amazing sound! Easily the best filmed shows of this kind I've seen.

Sounding incredible.
Derek: The sound quality on this is amazing compared to anything I’ve ever recorded on an iPhone 12. What is your secret? :) somehow your recording device cuts out all of the extraneous noise, leaving a clean, crisp, clear sound profile that allows his voice to shine through.
Hey Walter, it’s a combination of positioning, venue’s speaker and also artist performance. Firstly I would say Morrissey’s voice is in really great condition, crisp and clear! Secondly, stand not to near stage will get better result, mainly reducing bass. I’m using iPhone 13 Pro which has great noice cancellation when you zoom in, while if you zoom out at 1x it will receive more environmental sound (crowd applause) which I would also prefer sometimes. I also did some sound tweaking in post to surface out the voice.

Haven't seen him since 1987 with The Smiths. Both he and Johnny Marr are still in top form. Just saw Johnny with the Killers in SF.

Nice that I finally got to see him play in Oakland, even if only on UA-cam! I was supposed to see him there in person 13 years ago but the show got cancelled 😢
Looks like it was a good show. I just wish he would play a few more ‘crowd pleasers’ (e.g. Suedehead) but he seems to have abandoned a lot of his older solo hits now unfortunately. Also I don’t know why he has to insist on singing the line “who said I lied because I never” like THAT 😳 Makes me cringe! But these are minor quibbles - good to see him still going strong.

Great video and sound Derek. Morrissey sounds great here. However I feel bad for the fans he disappointed in his cancelled shows. Then there was the show when he walked off after 30 minutes. He has a history of cancelling shows and I don’t believe it’s always because of medical reasons. It’s a black mark in his book.
