Compared to that Universals is way cheaper! For universals the gold pass is like 250- 300 ish (15% off merch, discounted parking, almost have the entire year opened and not blocked off). Also normal admission for one day is about 150. The silver is like 160-200 ish (I got this one) and it has more days than california neighbor pass (forgot the price) but less than gold.
I think it has to do with universal being more like a theme park and focusing more on rides while disney focuses on guest experience and immersion (and performing magic on your wallet). Overall disney is my favorite just because of memories but i enjoy universals rides more.

Ive been on that tour before. 100% worth it. I think mine was $400, but that was because it was at a busier time of the year. If you are handicapped, Universal is so much better than Disney World, at making sure that your needs are met. I've been twice and I'm disabled and Universal was top notch when it came to accommodating me and my disability. Just wanted to mention it for those who are handicapped. You are brought to the head of the lines and get picked to participate in a lot of shows, unfortunately my disability stopped me from participating in some that I was chosen for. I went on every attraction all in a half of day, which gave me time to go back to mt room and rest so I could do something in the evening. They just treated me so well. Kudos to Universal!!❤
That mario cart ride breaks down consistently. Even in Japan it broke down while I was on it for like 5 minutes. Feel bad for the people at the very loud boss fight when it broke
ive never been to hollywood so i always go to the orlando park (i live 2 hours away from there) and hearing the harry potter ride breaks down is surprising lol, but sadly we do t have a mario kart area but there will be a 4th park with fantastic beasts, and maybe mario kart? idk

We did the VIP tour. It was awesome. The express pass doesn't work for the Mario Kart ride yet, only VIP can skip the line. the regular line was over 2 hours when we were there and got on it 3 times within an hour and a half. Thought it was well worth it.
Me and my family get the vip pass all the time. It’s worth it, the only problem is that it’s a lot of walking and waiting since you have to wait for the other vip’s to finish their lunch.
Random fact: the plane featured in the stunt show is a decomissioned and modified OV-1 bronco, the bronco was a Vietnam War Era scout and light ground attack aircraft. The bronco was known for its lack of speed, the engineers had to attach a radar in the tail to "prevent it from getting overtaken by thunderstorms"

You get free stuff too! I still have my sunscreen stick that was available. This was at your discretion to grab or not. Not sure if they still have these though, I went last in 2018 🤷 it was worth it when I went there as I don't go often and had a tight schedule for other things to do in Cali when I was there. So for me, it was worth it, plus the backstage stuff you could see and going onto the sets was a lot of fun imo. You also could go to the front of the line even after the group thing ended til they closed. I remember having a free breakfast to grab and go, and then the character lunch. I had 2 or 3 characters, I remember. It was like a Dracula, a female character but can't remember, and then another male character.
My parents did this for their honeymoon and even in the early 2000s they said this was one of the best theme park experiences they had, even outshining disney. Now disney was definately the choice for bringing the kids, but if you dont have kids and want a good experience im sure this would be amazing.

I’ve done the VIP experience before! It’s really nice if you wanna get the entire Universal Hollywood experience in one day, especially with Super Nintendo World since normal guests have to reserve times to get into the area.
During my one and only trip to Universal Studios Hollywood with my grandparents cousin and sister, we had this experience. It was $2000 for all of us and extremely fun.
My dad was a fireman and he was able to get us discounted tickets for vip because of the enormous forest fires we had in California a couple years back and it was so fun and interactive,being able to go on the set of shows was the highlight.
That sounds so worth it. The thing about universal when I went was they didn’t stop letting people buy those fast passes so even if you bought a fast pass you still had to wait forever because everyone pretty much had one too. 😂
Hi, I only do the VIP at universal. The California one shows a lot more behind the scenes stuff. And the Florida one has more rides and very little behind the scenes. I’d recommend the California one 🎉

$380 for every ride line skipped, a VIP Breakfast Lounge, a high quality lunch, a tour through the whole studio, and a red carpet entrance into the park is INSANELY good.
I got the fast pass or whatever it was called when I went and it was cheaper, and you got to go wherever you wanted instead of having to see things you might not be interested in as part of a tour. It’s just a more individual experience I guess. Although they don’t give you breakfast or lunch. So it might be worth it if you don’t mind seeing everything?

They need to make an amusement park where you can race go karts, but they make you dress up in Mario characters before you get in your racing go kart
