Remember that time when this acapella group showed upon your feed, you watched some of their videos, stumbled on this one, went hey that's the breakwater, oh what they're from Victoria.. "fifth street"... ahh I get it
Your crunchy cords make me realize how much I'm missing from the mainstream a capella groups.. I'm in a little for-fun barbershop group, and this stuff inspires me to try to arrange stuff to be more than a series of 7 chords.
Have you ever heard Sam Robson? It's overdubbed single voice, but VERY well done, and he likes chords that are way out there, maybe not quite as unique as some of Colliers, but very interesting music. He is by far the best I've heard at that mode of making music, MHO. Also, like this group, he incorporates wildly different treatments song to song. Cheers.
Geez, do you guys ever have a dud. I think I've listened to about 10 vids now, and there isn't even remotely a clunker among them. I've enjoyed every single one. The spread of styles and soloists, etc. always keeps it fresh.
