April Kepner has to be one of the most strong yet underrated characters in the show. Her best friend was shot. She lost a child. She left the love of her life. She watched him fall in love again. She fell apart, and she put herself back together. She was one of the most deeply written characters in the show. She will be dearly missed.

Another great couple on the show was Teddy and Henry. They had a beautiful love. So the show had 2 great loves. I think the 3rd love can be Lincoln and Joe.

Emilly you can blame the writers especially Krista Vernoff for treating the character like shit. Like you I didn’t like April at first but then her character started to grow and just as it seemed that April was going through these positive changes , the writers pulled her back into theses situations that made her co-workers hate her, even her best friend did and her ex accusing her of being an opportunist and stealing Merediths job! WTF! I miss April but , GA (writers) felt it was time for April to go (along with Arizona) and move into a more creative direction. Really?
I think you don't get it maybe you are not Catholic she chose the pad of God not quitting I can't explain you what is the pad of God if you are not religious
She didn't marry Matthew and I understand that she had to find her religion again but she didn't have to keep hurting Jackson in the process he deserves better and her keep blaming him for a choice that she made but at the end of the day Jackson will always have her heart but honestly they both can never fully be together until she gets over that.
Her acting during the c section scene was top notch❤️ I love April. She was really relatable to me and her development from like a side character to this strong woman through everything she went through was amazing. Bring Back Keps “You prayed for me and it worked. Ha ha” - favorite line🤗😂🙏🏾
Nyla Nicole George was kinda annoying to me and izzie left Alex in all her medical bills so I didn’t like her either but all the other characters were great
I adore Kepner and Avery. Edit: Sarah, congratulations on your well-deserved Emmy nom! I could go on and on about how much your brilliant acting touched me. You and the Rabbi had me bawling. You, as April. . .. brilliant. Jackson and April will remain one of the most beloved, albeit bittersweet, couples.
We just had the episode with the dying Rabbi here yesterday (in Belgium.), very strong and emotional .. always liked her on the show. April Kepner was a great character. I will mis her.
First of all: this video is absolutely amazing!!!! Second of all: April is my favorite character, she has such an incredible and pure heart that I can’t even put into words how much I’m gonna miss her. The struggles that she had to face it during her journey, made her the incredible and powerful woman, doctor and mother and I couldn’t be more proud of the person that she became. I hope she found happiness for all her life, she deserves it more than anyone.
If they were able to keep Bailey and Ben together even when he started another career as a firefighter (and on another Shondaland show!) why could they not have kept Jackson and April together even when she decided to start going on medical missions instead of staying a surgeon at Grey Sloan? I mean, if they could get Riggs back together with Megan after 10 years just like that, the writers could have just decided that April and Jackson could also forgive each other and grow from all that and get back together. Although I am happy that April found happiness, I think sticking her with her ex is a cheap shot at giving her a happy ending. She should have ended back with Jackson.
Japril had found her true love and still loves him deeply! She’s just waiting on him to show up and rescue her as she had him many times! He’s the only part missing in her life! If he could just see this and stop wat he’s doing and just go to her, ...
When she first came Into the show I thought she was so annoying but now she’s one of my favorite characters. She is truly the definition of a strong woman. I’m happy with the ending they gave her it felt so appropriate for he character
it's still so weird to me that jackson never mentions his daughter in the current season o.O it's like April and him never had a child....did he sign away rights or something tffff
Her storyline breaks my heart😭 I can see so much of her in me, it’s crazy. I loved April from the beginning && the show will not be the same without her ❤️
I think the writer s mistaken. I mean taking April out of the equation is not the best. Japril are the pair who make us believe in true love. They should have ended up together.
I know a lot of people don't like how April went out, but I feel like she grew so much as a person and learned so much through those years, her end was peaceful. Everything came full circle. It wasn't dramatic, but life never is. It was such a beautiful human ending.
So amazing! Cryed the hole video! April is and will always be the best! Greys wont ever have anyone as amazing actor as Sarah Drew! April deserved so much more! Those stupid why did they fire her! 😭😭
Her character was beautifully written. I am still mad that they fcked her story by getting her fired, had a terrible pregnancy, tested her faith several times, failed her boards, bullied and belittled. She evolved the most amongst all of them
I LOVE APRIL! she’s my favorite character in the show because even tho she’s underrated the writers wrote her so well. her transformation is so awesome even tho i wish she ended up with jackson because they were so good together
I think April's progression and storyline was the best and most heartbreaking and most complex. She may have gotten her happy ending but she went through so much pain to get there. The fact that she lost her baby and then she started doubting her whole identity and her faith. She never got a break. She was such an underrated character. She went from being my least favorite to being my absolute favorite. She deserved do much better.
Kaitlin Lewis And I will miss Arizona 😭 These two are my favorite Characters I can‘t imagine watching Greys Anatomy without them two and without Japril I don‘t want to see Jackson with anybody different 😭
I have to admit I always loved April and Jackson together but I got to say seeing her and Mathew together after all they been through and seeing how Jackson is so happy for her at the end, it really does make me happy. She deserves it.
April is one of the most amazing characters of all time. Amazing development, strong beliefs, lived through incredible pain and came back stronger every time. I love her and miss her so much. April, Arizona, Christina und Lexie - still miss them so much
i didn't like at start, but seeing her transforming and growing as a person made fell in love with her She was the strongest charachter she went through so much yet she always found a way to get herself back together, she's a beautiful person
The scene where April wraps her arms around Jackson at 7:20 is actually so cute and I feel like its so underrated because its so small and simple but it shows how amazing their relationship is. sorry, was 🥺🥺.
Not to be picky, we're all here because we love April, but the background music though nice and appropriate is a little too loud. It's unwatchable as it is. You should fix and reup.
April started of as a girl who was always happy and she just annoyed me in some way no other characters did, I slowly started to like her and by the point she lost her baby with Jackson I had fell in love with her! She was always in my top 5 favourite characters (jo, Alex, Mer, Jackson and April) they change alot but my favourite always die or leave. Anyway April is one of the strongest people I’ve seen! She’s made me understand that if I want to become a surgeon to believe in myself and stay strong. She lost her best friend, her husband, she watched her ex-fiancé fall in love again, she lost her baby but she stayed strong. She’s such a big inspiration in my life and I aim to be like April Kepner! I’m definitely gonna miss her... thank you Sarah drew for the best 9 years of my life where you stayed strong and loving! I love you April!
i first loved her because of her faith and ive grown to love her because of how she grown into it. Her character is ao underrated. April Kepner, you inspire me
I was one of the few people who actually really liked April in the start, but I also love Reed so I guess I don't have very good taste. April is probably only second to Meredith in terms of tragedy in her life, in my opinion. When she comes to Seattle Grace - Mercy West, she's immediately met with hostility from Lexie. She makes a tiny mistake that results in a woman dying, and she ends up fired. She was just going into the supply closet when she tripped over the corpse of her best friend of several years. She then faces the man who shot the only person she called her friend, right after seeing her boss shot in front of her. Just in Season 6 and 7 alone, April Kepner goes through so much. This isn't even mentioning her crisis of faith, the loss of her child, the divorce, her almost-death, etc. April was one of the most complex characters on the entire show. I truly loved seeing her on screen, and I don't think that Grey's can be the same without her.
Thank you for this. I just went through a twenty-four minutes roller-coaster ride and enjoyed every minute of it. April is definitely one of my favorite all-around character. (surely I have grown to love aspects of all of them but all-around, April has to be one of my favorites.)
April is a true soldier and is my favorite character. Her character development was phenomenal and she is strong, she persevered through it all when most people would've quit. I think the message here is that life isn't all smiles and happiness and gets rather dark and ugly. But I like that she took things slow and truly cherished living in the moment because you truly don't know what you have until its gone. I can relate to her in so many ways and my mom is school teacher too and my parents were over the moon when I decided to pursue a medical degree. I too have struggled to get to the same level as my peers and we live in this oppressed society where if we don't fit the definition of perfect, we're seen as an outcast. Along the way I have failed multiple times to get what I want and deserve but her story reminded me to not give up and to listen to what your heart is telling you. Because who the hell should dictate your life & who cares what they think, you have to live for yourself not others. You are enough 🙌
Thank you so much for this video! It was so beautiful to relive April’s journey and character development. As we can all agree, I’m so heartbroken how her story wrapped up, as much as I love Japril I could have lived without them as long as April remained April. But by last season’s finale she was a shell of the experiences that we all watched shape her throughout her time on Greys, I’m so sad about that. But I’m thankful for the amazing performances from Sarah Drew and the rest of the cast, I’m not sure if I want to watch the show anymore, April was a huge part of why I stuck with the show for so long. It such a rare thing to have a character touch so many people in many different ways, and April did just that, whether it was as representation of an adult virgin that we rarely see on television, or a Christian, or the pain of losing a child, and the pain of losing your faith, and the journey of getting that back, there are so many facets to why people love her, she’s truly one of the best characters I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing through the television screen. I feel like I’ve lost a friend knowing she won’t be there anymore :(
Did you feel like April's whole arc was that she shouldn't believe God is punishing her for making mistakes... But every time she did something off color, she was punished. Got competitive -- fired Had premarital sex -- failed boards Left Matthew at altar -- her baby died Got divorced -- almost destroyed herself Snuck around with Matthew -- almost died What is the message here??
DirtyPrancing I don’t think the message was that God isn’t punishing her. I think the message is throughout all of these pain and suffering, God is always with her and he always has a plan. Everyone is human and everyone makes mistakes and it wasn’t supposed to come across as every mistake equaled a punishment. Everyone experiences pain, April more than most, but you have to remember the good things that came out of her pain. Her beautiful daughter Harriet, a career in trauma that she loves, a career in helping the needy, getting to fall in love twice, and getting to know Ruby a little bit more. So, I don’t think the message is that god isn’t punishing her for her mistakes, but that “something good can come out of so much pain.”
At first, I didn't like April too much. Now I love her, and I can't believe she left the show 💔😔. She was my favorite character on the last seasons. And also, Jackson and April deserved better. They deserved to be ENDGAME 💖 I want April and #Japril back!!!
Omg Lexie :( I agree with everyone. April is very strong. One of the saddest times is when she lost her faith. The way she was going downhill really killed me. That was one thing she held strongly to.
😭😭😭👼Left me breathless. I lost a son over 4 years ago and it always hits me. I try to let go and let God with that all the time, but it was th 3rd miscarriage out of 3 pregnancies and I'm 42. I bonded more with him than the rest. To see such a light in another's love for their child and to see their devastated soul makes even the hardest soul feel soft.

My favorite April moment was when she brought the guy in a car closer to the hospital, she was an incredible character

April and Jackson had the makings for a love as true as Merideth and Derek's. But the writers ripped them apart for no reason and that is beyond me

Really?
She made the wrong decision marrying Matthew. It was always supposed to be Jackson. Jackson is the one. Idk how she doesn't see that. Why Shonda, why.
They were toxic for eachother
U haven’t finished the show I see
Jordan Huszty Jackson didn’t deserve her though. He was very selfish
Her acting during the c section scene was top notch❤️ I love April. She was really relatable to me and her development from like a side character to this strong woman through everything she went through was amazing.
Bring Back Keps
“You prayed for me and it worked. Ha ha” - favorite line🤗😂🙏🏾
My biggest flex is that I loved April’s character from the beginning . Love her growth through the seasons
Sarah Drew's acting is just phenomenal!
I miss Lexie, Mark, Derek, George, April, Izzie, christan, and Arizona 😭
Nyla Nicole George was kinda annoying to me and izzie left Alex in all her medical bills so I didn’t like her either but all the other characters were great
@@pirateez5021 i agree george was annoying in the end
Christian...You mean Cristina?
I adore Kepner and Avery.
Edit: Sarah, congratulations on your well-deserved Emmy nom! I could go on and on about how much your brilliant acting touched me. You and the Rabbi had me bawling. You, as April. . .. brilliant. Jackson and April will remain one of the most beloved, albeit bittersweet, couples.
We just had the episode with the dying Rabbi here yesterday (in Belgium.), very strong and emotional .. always liked her on the show. April Kepner was a great character. I will mis her.
April as a character bloomed really beautifully, Her character development is so good. It's really beautiful.
Bailey and Ben got divorced
KspyrusTR what no they didn’t
@@KspyrusTR no they have a pauze. Not divorce
@@archangellove6157 nope they’re divorced
Japril had found her true love and still loves him deeply! She’s just waiting on him to show up and rescue her as she had him many times! He’s the only part missing in her life! If he could just see this and stop wat he’s doing and just go to her, ...
When she first came Into the show I thought she was so annoying but now she’s one of my favorite characters. She is truly the definition of a strong woman. I’m happy with the ending they gave her it felt so appropriate for he character
it's still so weird to me that jackson never mentions his daughter in the current season o.O it's like April and him never had a child....did he sign away rights or something tffff
He mentions her and April and Matthew in S17
I think that Harriet might stay with April a majority of the time. Idk why but I’ve always felt that
I didn't even whatched her last episode in the show. I loved her so much. Her personal grown is my inspiration in my medical career.
Her storyline breaks my heart😭 I can see so much of her in me, it’s crazy. I loved April from the beginning && the show will not be the same without her ❤️
April and Owen friendship.👌👌👌 proof: "He always come and brings me back" @21:19
april’s character development is phenomenal i love her character so much, we were robbed when she was written off the show ❤️😔
She is the most underrated character. She is literally the best. I cry whenever she cries...
«i'm a swan now»
yes you are, you becime a beautiful , an amazing and strong swan
Im tempted to rewatch this show again just to watch all of the wonderful April arcs.
I think the writer s mistaken. I mean taking April out of the equation is not the best. Japril are the pair who make us believe in true love. They should have ended up together.
nah the pair is meredith and derek
April has one of the FREAKING best character developments I've ever since ever♡♡♡
April was my favourite character by far even.
I know a lot of people don't like how April went out, but I feel like she grew so much as a person and learned so much through those years, her end was peaceful. Everything came full circle. It wasn't dramatic, but life never is. It was such a beautiful human ending.
Love this TV drama. Please get Jackson and April back together again. Thank you.
They did
So amazing! Cryed the hole video! April is and will always be the best! Greys wont ever have anyone as amazing actor as Sarah Drew! April deserved so much more! Those stupid why did they fire her! 😭😭
Assi Venho AGREED!!!
even the actor who played jackson was upset when this happened,
Her character was beautifully written. I am still mad that they fcked her story by getting her fired, had a terrible pregnancy, tested her faith several times, failed her boards, bullied and belittled. She evolved the most amongst all of them
I met her at Disney world's 3 months ago and I'm still shook😂
Miranda Rich omg lucky ass
Omg really how was it
Omg! How was she in person?
Loved April's story. Her and Jackson had a great story. The story needs to continue. The show needs more great stories.
I LOVE APRIL! she’s my favorite character in the show because even tho she’s underrated the writers wrote her so well. her transformation is so awesome even tho i wish she ended up with jackson because they were so good together
An amazing character, an amazing actress. One of the best on the show. Such a beautiful combination of drama and humor.
2:02 wow, Sarah should have won an award for that
Yes! Such amazing acting
literally omg 😭
I think April's progression and storyline was the best and most heartbreaking and most complex.
She may have gotten her happy ending but she went through so much pain to get there. The fact that she lost her baby and then she started doubting her whole identity and her faith. She never got a break. She was such an underrated character. She went from being my least favorite to being my absolute favorite. She deserved do much better.
I wish Japril was still together. There story was so beautiful. It was almost the same as Meredith and Derek. So beautiful.
I'm no longer watching Grey's Anatomy I mainly watch for April.
Kaitlin Lewis Same, greys died for me after this..
Kaitlin Lewis Same 😭
Kaitlin Lewis And I will miss Arizona 😭
These two are my favorite Characters
I can‘t imagine watching Greys Anatomy without them two and without Japril
I don‘t want to see Jackson with anybody different 😭
Kaitlin Lewis yea april was an important character and everyone will miss her but, I still think grey's is worth watching. (Unless anyone else dies).
I have to admit I always loved April and Jackson together but I got to say seeing her and Mathew together after all they been through and seeing how Jackson is so happy for her at the end, it really does make me happy. She deserves it.
It's amazing how much April evolved during the show.. From this cry baby to such a strong confident woman
She has been through so much... Her character development is one of the best I've even seen... We'll always love you, April.
April is one of the most amazing characters of all time. Amazing development, strong beliefs, lived through incredible pain and came back stronger every time. I love her and miss her so much. April, Arizona, Christina und Lexie - still miss them so much
April was and will always be my favourite grey's anatomy character.
i didn't like at start, but seeing her transforming and growing as a person made fell in love with her She was the strongest charachter she went through so much yet she always found a way to get herself back together, she's a beautiful person
Agreed 😊
The scene where April wraps her arms around Jackson at 7:20 is actually so cute and I feel like its so underrated because its so small and simple but it shows how amazing their relationship is. sorry, was 🥺🥺.
Right
is
Not to be picky, we're all here because we love April, but the background music though nice and appropriate is a little too loud. It's unwatchable as it is. You should fix and reup.
Amen!
Same, the music was too loud
Hugo um no it’s fine
Hugo I agree the music was so loud... it adds to it sure but overshadows all the great April moments
lol I’m here cuz I forgot what happend to her after she was in the car crash
I used to hate April but now she will be one of my favorite characters but now that she is gone idk what will happen 😭😭😭
Sweetest doctor...sweetest human...why??? Just why???!
April fue el mejor personaje super subestimado, era muy fuerte y evolucionó impresionantemente ❤️✨
April had one of the best character developments in this show and she’s so underrated
I feel like I’ve lost a friend knowing she won’t be there anymore :(
This is amazing! This perfectly shows why she is my favorite character!
April was one of my favorite characters. I'm glad they didn't kill her off but I loved her with Jackson.
I love April and she was one of my favorite people on the show and she’s changed so much through the season I’m gonna miss her!!!!❤️
Did you feel like April's whole arc was that she shouldn't believe God is punishing her for making mistakes... But every time she did something off color, she was punished.
Got competitive -- fired
Had premarital sex -- failed boards
Left Matthew at altar -- her baby died
Got divorced -- almost destroyed herself
Snuck around with Matthew -- almost died
What is the message here??
They deserved to be ENDGAME 💖
I want April and #Japril back!!!
When they first introduced April, i didn't really like her character but i grew to love her. She became one of my favorites.
April is definitely one of the most developed characters on the show, whether you like her or not you can't deny that
April Kepner incrivelmente maravilhosa ❤ está fazendo muita falta pra mim como telespectadora e fã sem April na 15 temporada 😢💔
Infairness, when it was needed, Katherine really gave such warm support. She loved April despite what happened with Jackson
