    Question - Instead of creating an effect rack with 2 signals, wouldn't it make more sense to use sends/returns and send the signal to a reverb channel that maintains the dry signal?

    • @DaFresh
      @DaFresh  29 днів тому

      You can do exactly the same with a return channel yes, but then if you need to export your stems (to send to a mixing engineer or to send to another artist for a remix, for example) you won't have the effect directly on your synth channel. And also I use return channels only on a mixing purpose, not for sound design, or it will be a mess in my project with 20 return channels to manage 😅

    • @siprturo
      @siprturo 28 днів тому

      @@DaFresh Thanks for your response! But when I use return channels, I can still export the dry and wet stems separately to give to mixing engineer. I'd love to see a video about this topic - when to use sends/returns with reverbs and delays and when to use effects directly on the layer and how to have more control over your reverbs in general, specially in melodic techno where these effects are so important but also need to be controlled for a clean mix.

    • @DaFresh
      @DaFresh  28 днів тому +1

      @@siprturo There are no rules, with the technique I show in the tutorial or with send, you'll have the same result. It's just about which workflow you prefer 😉

    You can try to use reverb in a Return Channel

    • @DaFresh
      @DaFresh  Рік тому

      Yes I can, but I prefer to keep my return channels for mixing purpose : reverbs (short, mid, long) + delays

    Toujours appreciable de découvrir de nouvelles techniques ! J'aimerais bien savoir comment ta basse est faite, elle sonne terriblement bien !

    • @DaFresh
      @DaFresh  2 роки тому +1

      La basse est faite avec Analog, sawtooth oscillateur, freq à 82, un EQ8 pour couper les aigues jusqu'à 800Hz, et un sidechain
