I love that he feels comfy with showing us his eyes. It takes a lot of courage for people to show things they don’t like about themselves, but it’s amazing that he’s ok with sharing with us.
Plus, he looks good, despite him seeing the flaws about himself, it’s all new to us and at least to me he looks good. Even though we are all freaking out inside that Ranboo is doing an eye reveal, I find it amazing that everyone is being so kind about this ❤️

@@token2471 Dude ppl are saying they're proud of him because he has facial dysmorphia and (from a person with facial dysmorphia) what he just did is actually amazing and extreme progress.
Lets go over this again:
-Dont say stuff like 'this feels illegal', it makes the mental strength worse
-Respect his boundaries and dont put his revealed face as your pfp (u can still put the ones of him with the mask and glasses tho)
-Dont make a million edits out of it, he doesnt want his eye reveal to be trending, so dont make a big deal out of it
-Support him! Boost his confidence and make him feel comfortable and welcomed and make him feel safe with having his face out there

I have facial dysphoria as well and it’s hard for me to show other people my face with no hair in my eyes and no mask on. I’m proud that he’s found the courage and support to show us. Though I have not, so it gives me a little bit of courage.

What exactly is facial dysmorphia? I’ve heard of it a lot.

facial dysmorphia can have a few different outlooks at what the person feels.
facial dysmorphia is a condition/disorder that can cause a lot of stress and/or anxiety. when one looks at themself for two long, they start seeing themselves differently to what they are and it can make them very anxious.
ranboo has very severe facial dysmorphia. he’s fine with being out in public without the mask and glasses, but what happens is when he’s editing, if he keeps looking at his face without the mask and glasses he physically cannot edit the video. and so if he looks at his own face for two long he gets a really overwhelming feeling of sadness and anxiety. he wears the mask and glasses not because fully he’s scared of doing s face reveal, but its so when he edits he doesn’t have to see himself.

@@evans.harvey6288 what? i was just saying i was proud of him for being comfortable with showing his eyes because i’ve heard having facial dysmorphia (which i could have sworn he’s stated that he has, in older streams) is hard and not a fun thing to deal with and i genuinely think his eyes are pretty cool looking.

Im happy he was confident enough to do an eye reveal, happy for his decision to do it.
He is just so precious and I’m so proud of him that he had the courage to do that! It was also really wholesome when he was talking about how much he loves National Ranboo Day. Ever since I got into the dsmp fandom he’s been my favorite, along with Tubbo, I love them both so much! Bless their souls.

as someone who suffers from severe anxiety i am very surprised that he really did this because i know he suffers from horrible facial dysmorphia and anxiety im glad you understand how hard it was for him
The fact as well that ranboo day will always be something special to him since as he said it was the day before he joined the dream smp (which helped him with getting so many more followers and subscribers cause before he was a small minecraft streamer) seems really sweet to me that even if he just talks on that stream it just shows his appreciation for where he is now also really glad that everyone is being respectful with the nice messages also:
Don't use his face for profile pictures or zoom in on his eyes be respectful of boundaries

I’m really proud of Ranboo and I’m glad he got to do the reveal in the way he wanted. I do hope he didn’t feel pressured into it. You can tell how nervous he was with the repeating himself and the deep breath but I’m really proud of him.
Please everyone be respectful and don’t pressure him to do it again/ take off mask. He’s done as much as he’s comfortable with.

As someone who deals with facial dysmorphia I got really emotional while watching this. The only people who actually know what I look like is my family, I haven't even shown my friends. And watching this video actually Inpsires me for the day that I eventually take off the stuff covering my face.

i have somewhat the same problem as ranboo (about showing his face) but only with the bottom part of my face. my eyes i’m fine with showing, it’s just my mouth and nose i hate seeing anywhere on the internet, or in my videos. so i can kinda feel how nervous he was doing this, but i’m proud he did it. :]
