Animation mistake I've heard. Apparently, he come from the front in the manga, meaning Zenitsu is the one coming to his position and Inosuke just intercept him.

@@glubtasBruh, Are you dumb or something or just clearly missed the obvious that Akaza was just only toying with Rengoku the entire time and can 100% demolish him when he's serious... Bruh even Rengoku wouldn't stand a chance against Gyutaro when the demon only needed a scratch from his poison sickle then it's over for Rengoku. And Gyutaro by no means weak just because he's on the bottom of ranks. Muzan stated that he can be on the same lvl as Upper moon 5 but it just Daki is on the way so Gyutaro doesn't care to get promoted to higher ranks. He stayed at the position of UM6 because of his sister, and if that wasn't the case... then he should be at UM4 or UM5 at least.
