As a dude who was a teenager when this song came out and also a musician who has played since I was a teenager, I cannot tell you how big the smile is on my face right now. The mix is a bit distorted, but you guys captured the vibe of the song beautifully. I know this was almost 10 years ago, but I hope you are all still playing.
I love seeing videos of real music on youtube. Obviously it's not flawless, but it's not supposed to be. Growing up, everyone has their developmental years of sounding like shit in someones garage. That's how you get good. And aside from playing, you learn the little things like working a PA and making sure the drums aren't miked too loud ;-). especially considering their age, this is a great cover. And i'd take this over some overly pitch-corrected bullshit recorded in a studio and pretended to be played live like all the other covers on youtube. Good job guys.
This is a very solid performance, seems like high school show though so the mix kinda sucks but you can still that you guys are super solid and know the song well.
I think they did a great job but there was something about the acoustics of the room or the recording that didn't sound right. The singer did fantastic especially near the end.
if the drums are micd then turn em down a bit other than that...u guys DO NOT SUCK lol..ignore thoose assholes that are naysayers..couple other things....whoever recorded the vid needs to be at a closer angle....and they need to make sure theyre all evenly matched with volume....study the song alittle more...rushed into it WAY to much......8.5/10
