Since I'm going through withdrawals always waiting for Casca to come back, I wanted to edit this tragic love story. :(
I noticed after this video was done rendering, there is a small mistakes at the very end, it's not that bad and since it took around 3 hours for this damn video to finish rendering, I can live with it. lol

A homosexual man with a giant sword- who bravely stands up for "gay" even if the rest of the world condemns him- is what will make me EMOTIONAL. There's nothing unique about a man with a big sword- I mean- didn't 90% of fantasy heroes in anime and the books have that already?
So Berserk can question the status of god and religion but still be fvcking straight and so legit mainstream- with Griffith being "negatively coded" again as gay/bisexual?
COME ON- is homosexuality the greatest evil of all time? Or did Berserk just threw Christianity away- but can't throw it's "greatest" legacy- everyone's HETEROSEXUAL BIAS against gay?
Guts and Casca are legit one of my favorite couples in all of fiction. It just feels so...real. Especially the part where Guts finally breaks down and talks about his childhood and how uncomfortable he is with intimacy. It didn't feel lie a main character and his love interest, it just felt like two people brought together by tragedy, before being ripped apart.

That's the problem. They're brought together by tragedy- and the fact that Griffith became sexually unavailable- pushing them toward each other- when previously, Guts treated Casca naked and he didn't feel a thing- GUTS LOVE STORY IS NOT A LOVE STORY BUT A PSYCHOLOGICAL MESS. It's so problematic Miura wouildn't know which direction to take. The fact that everyone thinks their romance is romantic must have NO idea about what's really going on.

@@007lolinator I get you, ha ha. And I also think Miura just wants to MESS with us- totally. He'd make a legendary yaoi writer if he's writing yaoi though- I mean- Maiden Rose level or Ai no Kusabi. People who are pretentiously moralistic when it comes to "gay" but NOT moralistic when it comes to fanboying on DEMONS, killers, and psyhos in anime should just stop with the double standards. Miura was trying to push the boundaries of morality (as a form of narcissism) in his "Berserk" but I get he fell into his own moral crevasse- when he decided to fall back on the lame, standard mainstream model of Guts-is-straight and Griffith-must-be-a-villain if he's to be "gay."
We deserve more mature Berserk writing that bravely questions Christianity, atheism, paganism, and all the isms- including HETEROSEXUAL MAINSTREAM BIAS. It's kinda "superficial" when you can question everything even god- but can never create gay protags who end up together- as if non-standard love/homosexuality is the greatest evil of all time.
Or maybe we need more mature audiences for Berserk BEFORE writers can even start writing mature themes at all. ^_^

One of the saddest love story ever
I was talking to my fiance about this and I said that when Guts defeats Griffith, Guts won't have a purpose afterwards because he made it his mission to kill Griffith and has focused so much on that. And my fiance turned to me and said, "I don't think Guts will kill Griffith at the end." Like this manga has made me so emotional that I cried yesterday because I realized just how broken Guts is. And this is my first time reading it!! I just got past the Lost Children Arc because I had to stop after the Golden Arc.
Never thought an anime would make me so emotional but this video nailed it. Berserk, as dark as it is, is ironically a beautiful, and brilliant love story that has a very “human” side to it; and I’m not even a love story kind of guy. You perfectly displayed that love story through this video. As much as a hard guy Guts is, he had nothing but absolute love for Casca and would do anything for her. Hats off to you.. this video was brilliant and beautiful, and does Guts and Casca and what they had justice.

It’s so much better in the manga and this isn’t a manga superemist talking no the manga is some of the best fiction out there period the best story telling accompanied by the most gorgous and morbid art I’ve ever seen
Hope Casca returns back to the way she was and Guts will kill Griffith!
Neither of those things are possible. She'll be very different and right now there's no way Guts would be able to kill Griffith. If you think Berserk gonna have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Is [N0T] 42 I can also see a dark ending happening where Casca returns evil. Guts finds a way kill the Godhand but dies along everyone. Nobody said there will be a happy or dark ending, it could go either way. I just hope the final battle will be awesome.
Black Rose There's no "evil" in Berserk. But I understand what you're saying. I doubt there's a way for Casca to fully recover. It's never gonna happen. We'll just have to wait and see in a ...few chapters, however long that might be.

Guts was the best character of the world of manga for my eyes, the universe of Berserk is extraordinary, the story and characters were deepest, the drawings of the manga was incredible. Berserk for Life ❤️❤️
The best manga, in my opinion.
This is really painful. It brings back the joys and pains of Berserk and the realization of how great Miura was in understanding so many complexities. I really wanted meet him and thank him for such an amazing masterpiece of art and storytelling.
I cherish and appreciate this so much but it represents a big part of him and really makes me wonder how someone so great just left. RIP Kentaro Miura. Thank you

Given how good your videos always are, I've gotten pretty used to having high expectations, but this video far surpassed how good I thought it would be. It's damn near perfect, starting from the song choice to the editing itself, every single detail is well thought out and I'm so in love with it :O

If i had a Behelit i would sacrifice every last one of you to bring him back. The world doesn't deserve to spin without him on it. An unrivalled Storyteller, an unbelievably talented Artist and Thought provoking Philosopher all wrapped into one. We couldn't have asked for a better symbol of Perseverance. I just wish that more people took the time to look past the gore to see what Berserk truly is. A Story about Friendship, Love, Betrayal, Trauma Vengeance and most importantly: the overwhelming force that is human willpower.
