Honestly, people are really negative in the direct chat, crusade is looking very very good, in fact, it never looked this good, with so much resprites, movesets changes, it's really really less janky than what it was a few years ago, characters finally look good, if characters like ashley or gooey can evolve and be as cool as the new toad, then i'm all for it, i really cant wait this is gonna be so fun

Yeah this game is extremely underrated. I only dislike the buffer system.
What I really love is how you guys and McLeodGaming don't feud with each other at all, despite both fanbases going at each other. I love how you guys respect each other's work so much.

No, Weegee won't be added back.
There are other reasons he was removed. ZSS was removed due to her poor quality sprite, but Weegee is an entirely different story.
Weegee was never meant to be added in the first place. According to Mp3toaster, 2 devs (who don't work for Crusade anymore) made Weegee as a joke, for fun, but someone suggested to a higher up dev (who also doesn't work with them anymore), and without everyone agreeing to it, it was accepted, and boom, he was in. He was very out of place, and it caused a lot of people to take the game less seriously.
To see the whole reason, go to Crusade Community Forumotion and search "Weegee", and you'll see his topic.
Weegee should be added back for the sole reason that taking away content that used to be there is wrong
@@Cephonster I can see why in the first paragraph one thinks its bad. It was content never aporoved. Yet, it was left there, in the game, for years..... so its not like he was prohibited or something.
And I really dont think it affected how people took the game seriously. If anything, most people back then hated the sprites and polish of the game, since it was an early stage, Weegee had nothing to do with it. Its like saying Giga Bowser or Wario Man in Project M was what killed PM and it never was competitive for people... that did not happen. Its just a bonus character.
Just make an external patch for it tbh

She's litterly my 2nd most wanted character in Smash and seeing you not only filling that hole, but improving on your past efforts, makes me really happy.

Well, ZSS and Pit are possible. ZSS is playable, and Pit has a full set of sprites. But Zelda on the over hand was never done.
A dev confirmed that the 2 characters are BRAND NEW we could expect to see ZSS come back in the future they said but not too sure when exactly
I love seeing how far this game has come all these years, you guys are honestly incredible, i remember downloading this game on of the garbage computers at my middle school, it ran terribly but dammit me and my friends played it everyday. Keep it up fellas cant wait to see more updates from you guys!
As soon as I saw bowser looking like he was in the AlphaDream games, I thanked the Smash gods that this is happening. But more importantly, thank you Crusade team, all of you.
the sonic moveset is amazing
Played this back in 2015 or so, I really liked it. Has it's own charm, but some of the mechanics felt weird, like DK FSmash killing at 30-40 uncharged and stuff like that in general. I like how it's not just another Smash fangame and has it's own thing over Smash Flash 2 (like different airdodges preferences) and different movesets.

I gotta be honest, I dropped SSBC quite quickly being displeased with a lot of things, particularly how the sprites and some of the maps stood out from the amazing overall UI and soundtracks five years ago then a friend reminded me to this.
Good lord the SSBC team as amazingly improved, seeing silhouettes of one of the most notable characters in NEED of resprites widened my eyes and I REALLY look forward to everything you have to offer, keep it up fellas!
I may be salty that Snivy lost her hoo-ha!,but I'm happy for the work you all are putting in to make this game balanced and even more lively.
I just wish one day Crusade and SSF2 would merge together to really bring in the hype.
I am very excited for Bowser's resprite. I can't wait for some fresh movements.

Zero Suit Samus: About time! She looked terrible, then you removed her. She looks amazing here. Can't wait for her!
Toon Link: I didn't really have a problem with him moveset-wise. (Except his up special) Design wise, it was alright. A respite would be nice.
Samus: Her moves are the same, but because of her sprites the hotboxes were trash. Glad to see her get a respite
Link: idk if this Link is the respite, but If it is, it's most definitely a welcome one!
Donkey Kong: just like Bowser.
Krystal: Finally! She looks terrible, in game. Her moves suck. And I can't play as her. About time she gets a redesign!
Ashley: I think this is the redesign. An awesome one for sure.
Sonic: this upcoming 0.9.5 will give Sonic his redesign, and It looks INCREDIBLE! Although he was good before.

I haven't played this for like over a year and just remembered it existed. At least back then it really traded quality for the sheer number of characters but it looks to be getting way better (BOWSER AND ASHLEY RESPRITES YES). I'm gonna have to get it again soon

Wow. I'm glad the Smash Crusade Team are still going on the fan games we love and care for most . And seeing few characters redesign looks great. Overall, I can't wait to see more updates for buffs and nerfs, stages and improvement,and many more.

Trust me, it's going to be a while before we get another character. Their top priority now is respriting.
Well I mean they Kinda have to as Flash is dead along with SSF2 so you’re probably gonna have to expect an in pouring of SSF2 players from SSF2 to Crusade. Despite crusade not being as fluid as SSF2 it’s really the only Smash fan game what you can play now until McLeodgaming decides to put SSF1 and SSF2 on Flashpoint.
@@SpeedDemonPowerage98 But SSF2 is still available. It's just not available to play on the website anymore. You need to download it to play it now.
@@SpeedDemonPowerage98 SSF2 isn't dead. The project moved to Adobe Air a while back in preparation for the death of Flash and it’ll still be receiving updates for the foreseeable future.

I haven't played this in over a year and forgot it existed until just now. Back then it seriously traded quality for quantity of characters but it looks like it has smoothed out a lot since then (BOWSER, DK, AND ASHLEY RESPRITES YES)
