Just goes to show that the most important thing about being a Christian is not condemning others because of their sin, but helping them out of love, kindness, and compassion as a fellow child of God.

It depends if you listen more Father or Son! They are not agree about many things if you read the Bible! Perhaps, Father condemned all humanity for a sin of protoplasts and Son said it's not right to punish childrens for the sins of parents... What a family?🤔😂🤣😅

@@ozzy82nick There is no disagreement between Father and Son. Jesus said, " If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. I and the Father are one."
God arranged for Jesus' birth so that he would have a path to save us. Jesus is that path.
We still cannot rebel against the commandments of God and expect salvation. The man in this story forsook his old life and began to keep the commandments.

@Blythe Spirit there is only condemnation while still sinning willfully. The man that is of the flesh is at enmity, which is why a man must be born again. You are correct condemnation for sin is valid, but you are not correct that the comment was PC drivel. It's doctrine. That man must leave the world behind and forsake sin is a command. The New Testament commands are the exact same as the Old testament Commands, yet there is a spiritual law added that even the inner desire to commit sin (homosexuality, pedofilia, etc) is sin.
The thought of sin is an implanted attack from the devil..
the desire to commit the sin is fleshly sin.
The act of the sin is rebellion toward God, basically it is sin against God to sin willfully after knowing what sin is.
We are in the antichriste age and sin is not forgivable as of now.. because you are fully aware of what you are doing and thinking.

I’m a Marian Catholic and say this is Catholic Christian love. Jesus Christ founded but ONE Church the ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH on the infallible Rock of Peter two millennia ago! Only Catholic’s are the true and original Christian’s and only Catholic’s go to Heaven! Protestantism, including the orthodox,is 40,000 CULTS, which are pagan! The Bible is a Catholic book the protestant Bible is an incomplete and corrupted Catholic book! Once the orthodox,be they Russian or Greek, broke from Rome they became CULTS. I know that’s comes across as nasty but it’s the painful truth. I’ll repeat Jesus Christ founded but ONE Church and NO more.
God bless all protestant’s and orthodox please come home to the mystical body of Christ on earth the holy Catholic Church. Those who do sincerely practice their orthodox faith are in reality Catholic but will more than likely have to spend some time in Purgatory when they die.

But I feel there's a very strong and burning desire inside to do it. If I ever touched a man for the first time, I believe I will be addicted to sleep with different types of men throughout my lifetime. Brothers and sisters in Christ, please pray in my behalf. I keep coming back to this video because of how no nonsensesical these Orthodox brothers and priests are in dealing with immensely complex aspects of human nature and psychology. I could see a Catholic priest struggling to give the same advice because of his different education and world view. So cause even in the orthodoxy we have a little split with the new and the old calendar, the russian and the Athos state (Agion Oros-holy mountain)use the old calendar.
Am using like most people the new calendar but i know the correct one is the old.
I tell that because when i ask a monk of Athos if God see the people who believe in him even if they with old or new with same eyes,he tell what Jesus says - don't change even one word - and that means nothing.
So i believe Jesus can save us all yes but but He also said - we have to search the writings - and when you start to search you go even more deep to the way of life of Christians eventually you start to understand which is the wright even you don't do it that's the first step.

His spiritual Father a long time ago was St. Arsenios. I think they called him Hadji Efendis back then, he was the priest of the village. Elder Paisios was the son of the mayor of the village. He was just a baby when they had to move back to Greece.

@@KKIcons Fun fact: his district used to be part of my home district and about 2200 years ago the area's name was Gabadonia!
Greeks and Karamanlids of Cappadocia carried their culture to Greece when they went there and the elders were even discriminated against for some of them only spoke Turkish or Karamanlidika (a Turkish/Greek dialect) which contributed to the retardation of their adaptation process into the culture of Greece, enabling the newer generations to be nurtured with the Cappadocian culture. That's why whenever I read about or from Aziz Paisios I'm almost always so emotional for he reminds me of a generation of people I was both lucky enough to be familiar with and unlucky enough to witness the extinction of. May our idols such as him live and prosper in our hearts and minds and may their wills, deeds and creeds manifest themselves in our behaviours as God shall guide us and may God give us the will and perseverance to better ourselves to become like them and influence the generations to come for I'm sure this is the kind of earthly immortality God wants us to thrive for.

You are Roman Catholic. The term "Catholic" stands for the idea of being a world-wide church. The Orthodox Faith is the one church that followed the teachings of Christ from 1054 A.D. when the Roman Caholic Church split because they wanted a Pope, head leader & many other reasons. The Eastern Orthodox Church has declared Jerusalem as it's first & only center. Before anyone debates check out 1054 A.D. There can be only one head of the Church, Jesus Christ Himself. There are many bishops who address heresies, but they are called by one among many. There is absolutely no one leader or head in the Eastern Orthodox Church. There is also only one Way to God the Father. St. John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto {Thomas} him, I am the Way, The Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me {Jesus Christ}." God is the lover of all humanity & desires that we all should be followers of Jesus Christ.

What St Pasios told him to do really reveals the difference of Orthodoxy from Protestantism. Evangelicals would just say, "Pray this prayer and now you're a Christian."
If that man had come to me when I was a Calvinist, I would have said, "just go home and read your Bible and pray and if God wants to convert you, He will, and if He doesnt, He won't", since I believed salvation came entirely from God and human works were worthless.

Brainwashing is a Marxist concept, used often against Orthodox by the Bolsheviks. They invented it and double speakers now seek to accuse the antidote to be the “poison”.
Also, why are you using antiPapist Jack Chick tract talking points? We’re Orthodox, and while some of those types of blasphemies can be applied against both groups equally, your mentioning of “Choir Boy Anuses” in another comment makes no sense. We do not have a pedo problem in Orthodoxy because our decentralized method of policing our priesthood WORKS. Rome’s for 900 years was based on the inquisition, which in turn was funded by various industry and centered in the Papal States, all of which Rome lost in 1850. An objective historical analysis proves it actually mostly worked, but it was HYPER central. Losing it collapsed everything and within a generation predators figured out that the shepherds were now too weak to keep protecting their lambs from wolves.
THAT part of it is not Rome’s fault and there was no ancient culture of institutional r-a;p-e in the Roman Catholic priesthood, contrary to Calvinist superstition .
What HAS been their fault has been the refusal to change a system that depended on the Inquisition, adopt the ORTHODOX methods.
Our diocesan priests are all married, most with children of their own. A fully celibate priesthood with no functioning internal affairs department (inquisition) works far better for a pedo. No wife or kids of his own or wife and kids of other priests to worry exposing him. That’s the point, the starting point, anyway.
Furthermore, our bishops are all monks who had long since proven themselves in total separation from the world, expecting nothing, then were blessed to become bishops. A pedo is not going to become a monk for decades in the very off chance he MIGHT become a bishop and given access to kids again.

If there's one reason that I still fight for my self to truly believe that's what that video showed. That religion and worshiping god isn't about sins and punishments and criticism, it's about showing love and care and compassion to everyone in need.

It's also important to bear in mind that, for the purposes of spiritual wellness, to be gay isn't something that should be treated as unique, as it simply one of many forms of perversion that stem from the sin of lust, from which stems sexual desire; he or she who has no control over their loins and partakes in sexual activity outside of wedlock and outside of the purpose of bearing children is no better than one who engages in perversions of the flesh, as both have fallen to lust, and both are wallowing in the muck of the pig-pen. @@zeropride1133 "one day, soon, i doubt this will even matter. The world grows more wicked each passing day. Unification will happen, there will be no other choice."
Of course there is another choice. God's choice. When people (especially those who wants unification in order for the Antichrist to rule the world) make plans God is laughing. They make their own plans but they forget that the mastermind who controls the fate of the world (butterfly effect) is God.
The world grows more wicked so now under the leadership of politicians who believe in the Antichrist we taste the fruit of our choice and that is darkness with all the consequences, no human rights (due to covid), forced vaccinations. Politicians took away your freedom so if you get vaccinated they will give it back to you. But freedom is your right by God. No one can take it away from you. Politicians turned your freedom into privilege under their condition. As long as you play along with whatever they decide with the rest of your life you will have your fake freedom but you will be a slave of the system.
Now it is time to choose light or darkness, good or evil. You will be forced to choose by the world events. By the way let me tell you one secret. God always wins. Be with the winners. And if you don't believe in God why not try to live your life as God wants just out of curiosity. You will be surprised how much "luck" will struck your life. Luck is blessing by the God. Try to find Him.
Personally it took me 40 years to find God. Now I don't just believe but I am certain beyond any doubt that God exists after 5 miracles in my life. Just because you can't see God that doesn't mean He doesn't exists. Please try to find Him.

Although I’ve never been exclusively in a relationship with a man, I have found True Love in My Beloved Lord Jesus Christ and this video convinced me that I can never ever give up on This Pure Love He has towards me…
Although I’ve been sober for quite sometime from sexual acting-out, I still feel the lustful temptations fluttering around me during the day and as especially when I’m asleep when I give into the temptation frequently.
I wish I could do an ounce of what St. Paisios prescribed 😢 but I’m dealing with a lot of mental health issues, de-addiction-ing myself and am caught up in a battle of being a good, chaste Catholic boy on one side and the world on the other side convincing me that I’m “denying” my sexuality.
Please pray for me dear brothers and sisters whoever who reads this comment - I do believe this too shall pass, but I can’t do it alone…
St. Paisios the Athonite - pray for us, pray for me a miserable and wretched sinner who craves for Christ’s Love one day at a time and who has saved me and healed me in many respects if not all…!

Christ sent! , HRISTOS ANESTI ! HRISTOS A INVIAT ! .The prophecies of Saint Paisie, which we will see in the coming months ... 2 The fall of President Erdogan and then the Great War have been fulfilled and will follow for sure.
Faith is one, my dear and true, and one Church and one Baptism. The Great Holy Apostle Paul says it very simply, chapter 4 to the Ephesians = One Lord, one Faith and one Baptism.
The poor man confused them all to the devil's gain, unfortunately.
Whoever does not have the Faith in his heart, will accept the Sign of the Beast 666 ,,. Quickly search the Orthodox Church, Greek, Russian, Yugoslav, Romanian, Georgian, Bulgarian and Ukrainian, Eritrean and Ethiopian, there is no time to lose.
In these Orthodox churches, the same Gospel, Apostle and Creed of the Faith are read on the same day.
You see how beautiful God places them.
This was the case throughout Europe, until the Vatican broke away from Byzantium in 1054, taking the first wrong step, unfortunately for humanity and souls.

He helped many people, including people whom other fathers didn't receive neither for confession, nor for advice.
He's helping people even now. His writings give tranquility to the soul. They really do.
In my opinion, everything that remained from him should be cherished and preserved in time so that it can help other Orthodox and etherodox as well on their way to Orthodoxy and to God.

I’m not religious. I just treat every human and animal around me as kindly as I can and hold myself to those principles and I hope that if there is an afterlife, those lived principles will be recognized.
I’m also gay myself, but I am not planning on abstaining from love, as I see no ill or evil in it.
What fascinated me about the story of Stamatios was the beauty of the philosophy. How the monk recognized the sincerity of his devotion to his partner and his grief. How the monk commanded him to be relieved of any grieving thoughts by carrying that obligation over to the monk that accompanied Stamatios.
I was always at odds with christianity, thinking that I would obviously hate someone like me, but I was surprised to hear that he was not condemned, scolded or hated, there was nothing but love for him as a human being!
While I’m not going to become orthodox, this video really changed my view about the curch, so thank you for that! 🙏🏼

      What I would like to tell you is that I mean no harm and thank you for your time in advance because for a Christian like me it's only natural to see what you wrote and to try to point out just one thing, from my perspective, one sinner to another;
What I mean to say is that it's nice that you're trying to be kind and nice to the people and to the world around you but that alone isn't enough and I'm only telling you this because I believe it's important for everyone to know. God loves you and you can have a relationship with Him. By trusting in Him, by having faith you can be saved, the Bible says that are saved by believing in Jesus Christ, meaning that He is the promised One from the Torah (Old Testament) and that He literally died for us and resurrected so that we can be with Him.
Obviously it's a process and it might be hard in this day and age, but consider that His followers gladly gave their lives just to talk about Him. Why would they fake it when they gain nothing, something happen to those Jewish people 2000 years ago that changed their whole perception of the world and they went around showing the world love, charity and mercy in a very harsh and cruel time... And they changed the world to the point where Rome had no option but to adopt that movement!
I guess what I want to say is that no church is perfect because no person in the world is perfect but Jesus is perfect! I know that you said that you're not religious and I know that this is a nice story but it's about another person, about another life. You are also unique and special, regardless of what modern people want to tell you trust me you are, the whole universe is very finely tuned, there is no accident that we can write a book and create something complex, we are more than just chemistry + physics and some electric signals.
But there are many smarter people than me that wrote really good books about this and I can recommend some of them to you if you would be interested, because if Jesus is who He says He is, it matters.

I'm bisexual in a hetero marriage so for me it's less intense than many but it's a question that has had me shunned, shamed, excommunicated, abused, and more from churches across the spectrum. I have yet to receive any kind of guidence on navigating the world as a gay person and a Christian. As most church leaders are older than the whole gay rights movement and understand it little. I am really glad that you found comfort in this video and sad if you had bad experiences with "religious" people. Yet, you should know that this video in no way preaches acceptance of homosexuality in any form of shape as the Christian Orthodox answer is that homosexuality is a sin with absolutely no exceptions. The video does not provide any excuse for homosexuality inside the church. What the video does, however, is teach a homosexual man or any sinner for that matter (since St. Paisios' counsels apply for all us sinners) a way of repentance ... Having said that, Christianity and homosexuality do not come together ... I hope you ll have the courage to follow St. Paisios' counsels and proper guidance in an Orthodox church to find your way in God! God bless you :)

I know orthodoxy doesn't support SSM but most priests, pastors, or anyone even vaguely related to Christianity won't tell the lgbt community what to do if you don't get married. We lost the big family raising your niece and nephew intimacy. So they auto lose out on any sort of family system immediately by being born gay (yes you are born with it). Not everyone can be a nun or monk, most humans are not built for that level of isolation.
So what do you tell someone who despite all Thier best efforts would be living a lie and unable to produce heirs should they fall into a heteronormative marriage? Or what of someone who craves on a soul level the intimacy of a life partner (even if marriage isn't part of the pact)? We need to be better as Christians at addressing this question. I came out first to my pastor as an 11 year old kid. I told him I was struggling with bisexuality and he said let me get you my friend. And wanted me to drive 4 towns away to meet them. An 11 year old kid who wasn't out to my parents yet. So I went to the closet again for 5 years. I came out publicly in 2012 during the final push for marriage equality (if government is gonna be a part of marriage which it unfortunately is, then everyone should get the same legal rights). When I came out without warning or more than a 2 minute conversation I was removed from Sunday school, choir, bible study, every form of aid I was doing for the church over night it was stripped from me. This was a church of Anderson officially but basically baptist.
So now I'm 16 with no direction, no church, and a whole lot of shame. That is completely in acceptable. I asked for guidence and help 15 years ago now and I still do not have an answer for what the right thing to do with LGBT people in Christianity is...
This needs a coherent game plan. A solid theological based answer that isn't "just go away". Because that's all the church has said to the gay community for millenia and despite what some may think it's definitely not a choice, I tried to force it down for years.
P.S. the function of same sex couples in ecology and other animal sciences is to take in orphaned goslings/kittens/etc. They don't reproduce but they can raise. We as humans are not letting the homosexual 5% of us fill that niche.

    • @jacobnash1885

@@danktankdragkings7117 thank you very much for writing me your story my friend! Now there are many issues in your answer I would like to discuss but I would focus on what I consider to be the most important ones.
      1. So I am not a native speaker so could you please explain to me again what was it that the pastor asked you to do when you said "I came out first to my pastor as an 11 year old kid. I told him I was struggling with bisexuality and he said let me get you my friend. And wanted me to drive 4 towns away to meet them.". I don't want to offend Protestants, although I do consider Protestantism a heresy as an orthodox, but this behavior was completely unacceptable. When one finds the courage to say these things to a priest their response is understanding, love, courage and support to fight the passion together under the cover of the church and its sacramanets as with every other sin. If you've read the Bible at least once you know that a "just go away" answer is not only not biblical (as protestants like to say), even worse it's a sin. You have a sacred obligation--that's why you became a priest--to help people overcome their passions if you exclude them then why be a priest in the first place. Attention here, I am not saying help you accept your passion like more and more protestant pastors would do today as I understand … but help you fight your passion! It's like me being a sex addict and instead of receiving help from the church getting sent off. Even more important you do not need just any help (and that's why I believe protestant churches can only do so much) you need to follow the counsels St. Paisios gave. I cannot see how one can fight a passion as tough as yours without the sacraments of the orthodox church: without confession, without fasting, without Holy Communion. Fasting teaches you restraint, confession makes you visit your spiritual father to confess your sins, which alone makes you think twice before committing them again, the spiritual father provides counselling to all your specific needs and questions, not rigid, inflexible ones, but tailored to your personal circumstances. I have so much easier passions to fight than yours and still I would be lost if it was not for my spiritual father to guide me every step of the way ... Finally, Holy Communion, you receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ (only when the spiritual father gives permission and only when you have not repeated your sins for a period of time which provides with a motive and demonstrates actual repentance) ... I am not here to convert you to orthodxy but since we got this conversation started I would really encourage you to visit an orthodox church in case that's possible for you! I would also recommend following the videos of these channels since there are videos with content focused on young people as far as I know. One last thing, I know that you are born with it. In the Orthodox church a couple of our modern Saints have even given a theological explanation on the roots of the passion of homosexuality...
      2. Now regarding all the things you told me about catering for the special circumstances of the LGBT community. And still speaking from the perspective of an orthodox Christian, one who is not familiar with the ways of protestants on this, I understand everything you described and a thought comes to my mind but I might be wrong. Once you start fighting your passion, repent and start walking in the way of the Lord you are filled with His Grace and Love so everything else becomes immediately trivial. So you go from looking for “special accommodations” for your passion to looking for “special accommodations” for hosting God in your life. Take the example of Stamatis in the video. After visiting St.Paisios he did not turn into a man who was a Christian advocating for new LGBT+ policies inside the church. He became a man with one sole purpose in his life. Save as many lost souls as possible. With this goal in mind, everything else seemed trivial to him. He dedicated himself to a heavenly cause. Now, I am not arguing that we can reach the heights of sainthood Stamatis reached with his actions, as fr. Evangelos describes in the video, but I am simply saying when you put God first, you start moving away from the "logic" and "the understanding" of today's world and partake instead in the eternal truth of God.
People today are used to saying “where was God when, what did God do...”, meaning they demand their rights from Him. In the Orthodox Liturgy we have a saying which instead reads “Blessed are you, O Lord; teach me Your rights.” meaning the creation (us) wants to know the creator’s right before asserting its own, that’s the spirit of humbleness, you won’t find in any other church!
Finally, I have to say I disagree with your last argument in the P.S, because as I read it (and I might be wrong) letting a homosexual couple raise an orphan is still approving of homosexuality as a way of life or worse maybe tempting homosexual people in some way. Our goal as Christians is to eradicate sin in all circumstances be it homosexuality, indifference, egoism, carnal sins, anger, violence etc and of course, always starting with ourselves!
Thank you my friend if you managed to read all this, God bless!

@@jacobnash1885 Question! If your sole purpose in life is serving God and saving as many sinners as you can, what are you doing on UA-cam? I'm sure there are better ways to spend your time, like building houses for the poor and things as such! And an observation: if the sole purpose of a faithful person is serving God and helping lost sinners find the correct way, they shouldn't even consider starting a family, since it would only distract from that cause. I hope I got everything right! God Bless!

    • @hananokuni2580

Spanish and Greek have the same vowels and many of the same consonants. As well, Ancient Greeks used to call the eastern coast of Spain "Iberia" and had small trading colonies scattered all over the place. It's possible that in antiquity olive trees might have reached Spain from Greece or from the Phoenician colonies in North Africa.
