100% Just a personal preference and constructive criticism, it may be a culture thing and I may be completely wrong so please do with this comment whatever you wish But when you end each sentence it sounds like you are raising your voice while elongating the syllables and you do a quick pause, in America that usually implies you are asking the audience a question, so I would try to keep the last word in the sentence the same and not elongated, again though please take this as nothing but constructive criticism, your video was great
Broooo this is sick. I'm waiting until you're done with Season 3 to binge watch all of them. A friend of mine also wants to watch them with me (who has never heard of of the show), so if you have a clean version of this review please post/add a link! Thanks for this! Beyblade's such a nostalgia trip.
I don't care what haters say. I enjoyed V-Force. New lore! Awesome new Bit-Beasts designs! Sickle Weasel, Tyranno, Cyber Draciel, Cyber Dragoon, Gabriel and Flash Leopard were sick! Mariam and Queen were Bae. 😍
They were all in the original series wernt they, they just did that announcer mic thing for underdog in V-force, which wad cool, ive just rewatched vforce, and remember why i was upset with it as a kid, they did my man kai dirty by the end, kai should have been the winner at the end of the series as hes been on the right path, he still trains the most and hes working with his team and learning from them. Maybe im just but-hurt
It's so awesome to see someone finally see someone do a retrospective on the original Beyblade serie! I grew up with V-Force but G-Revolution is my favorite by far. Can't wait for your review. Great work!
Until now I realize that the main four bit-beasts are the Four Symbols of Asian Mythology that guard the four cardinal directions. I have seen these four beast in other animes and games: Black Turtle, Vermilion Phoenix, Azure Dragon and White Tiger. I started to wonder why the BladeBreakers's bit-beasts were sacred, besides plot, and now I realize they are based on literally sacred guardian beasts of mythology.
Which makes sense when all the sacred beasts have some more lore behind them then the others Dragoon was in a family sword Driger was a symbol of the White Tiger clan Draciel has some story from Max’s grandmother
So a stupid in-joke at my job ended up going way too far over the past few months, and now I own several hundred dollars in high-end Beyblades and launchers and have a 23 & 4 W/L record in real life money matches. so this popping up right now confirms either we live in the Matrix, or I am destined to be a bey fighter on a professional level
Some of the scenes display Beyblade stats on the laptop screen instead, which I actually find more useful and logical than whatever dumb joke Dizzi had.
What I don't understand is that after V Force why did none of the new characters ever return during G Revolution? The Saint Sheilds would have been perfect for the tag team tournament and Zeo returning to help fight BEGA would have been awesome it just seems like they missed out on great character development.
It would of been awesome if they returned but I’m not sure how they would have them fit into the story. There’s such a wide roster of characters in G-Revolution, if they had bought Zeo and the Saint Shields back, I don’t think they could have done justice by them 🥹
@@raytaku_ I guess your right about that, but the events of V Force are never even mentioned it's like the whole thing never really happened at all it's very confusing.
That would have been nice. Sadly the only return we see is the japanese version end credits. Which also includes a japanese only character and manga only character that shows up.
Fun Fact: In the Japanese version of Episode 16: Tragedy of The Cyber Blader Yuya dies, the digital sacred beast version of Dranzer delivered a horrible shock to Yuya as it grew stronger in the battle with Dunga with Vortex Ape. (Poor kid passes away in Kai's arms) In the English dub it was implied that Wyatt (Yuya) "went insane" due to the shock.
@@raytaku_ This is why you never see Wyatt again on-screen except as some traumatic vision for Kai. I never understood it as a kid myself, but I looked it up online and learned that Wyatt's death was completely censored. There was a lot of weird censorships done.
This season also has Zeo being a robot copy of Zagāto's deceased son, and the rock Bit Beasts being shattered when they're defeated. And I mean shattered in the Steven Universe sense. This season has lots of death for some reason.
Manga was darker. Zagāto had 2 biological sons. The first son died and then he made Zeo live his life as the first son. Tyson is also the onky one to lose his bit beast but his beyblade evolves to Galaxy and he defeats Burning Cerberus and regains Dragoon.
Since detailing the differences between anime and manga for V-Force was a giant tangled mess due to how the adaptation process flip-flopped events around and added a lot of fluff between the major story beats, I’ll just leave a neat and hopefully succinct timeline of the manga’s events. Here goes: -two months after Tyson defeated Tala and Wolborg 2 with his new and improved Dragoon Victory, Tyson goes to meet Tala for a rematch he offered as a show of good will -upon reaching the site for battling Tala, Tyson is instead witness to Tala getting handily beaten by Ozuma, a new blader he’d never seen before -Tyson challenges Ozuma immediately and wins in convincing fashion by ring out after being initially overwhelmed -Ozuma has his Flash Leopard re-enter the arena to drag the battle out and is joined in attacking Tyson by his three allies, the Saint Shields -as Tyson is beaten down four to one, the other Bladebreakers race in to warn him of the Saint Shields but find Dragoon about to be stolen by their combined powers; Ray sacrifices Driger to save Tyson and Dragoon -after the Saint Shields leave victorious, Tala reveals to the Bladebreakers that both he and Ozuma work under Doctor Zagart; online searching by Kenny uncovers more information on the enigmatic scientist including that his lab is actually an office building in town -the Bladebreakers elect to storm the building later that night in hopes of challenging the Saint Shields once again -while desiring to prove himself useful to the Bladebreakers, Kenny wanders alone with his laptop and comes across Doctor Zagart -when Kenny ends up being a no-show to the Bladebreakers’ meetup before the storming of Zagart’s lab, Tyson decides to press forward without him; the Bladebreakers go as high as they’re able and come across the Saint Shields in a corridor -the Saint Shields, Ozuma now armed with Flash Leopard 2, challenge the Bladebreakers to a full team battle but only Tyson and Ray (the two most aggrieved) take the challenge -while Tyson and Ray are overwhelmed at first by being undermanned and outgunned, they’re able to cover one another well enough to stay competitive; when the Saint Shields combine powers in a bid to steal Dragoon, Tyson and Ray combine powers to break the sealing technique and defeat all four opponents at once (Ray gets Driger back in his blade at this point) -after the Saint Shields are defeated and their true allegiance against Zagart is revealed, Zagart himself enters the scene with both the Psykicks and, to the Bladebreakers’ shock, Kenny in tow -Kane breaks Ozuma’s blade and Tyson throws out a challenge to him; Dragoon V is faced with Cyber Dragoon, a blade designed by Kenny to structurally counter Dragoon in addition to possessing an artificial reproduction of its namesake Bit Beast -in truth, Kenny is still on the Bladebreakers’ side and the Cyber Bit Beasts he creates were merely a way to push his friends’ limits, complete with putting a secret restraint in to cap their adaptive properties and power output -Zagart and Kane, who’s extremely proud of his high IQ, then reveal that they knew about the kid gloves Kenny put on the Cyber Bit Beasts and unlock them across the board so that Cyber Dragoon can utterly destroy Dragoon V2 with its full power -Kenny runs off frantically with Tyson trailing behind while Max, Ray, and Kai have no choice but to face down Jim, Salima, and Gouki together on the spot -Kenny reaches his lab in Zagart’s facility and reveals to Tyson that he was working on a new Dragoon blade with Zagart’s resources that’s near completion -Kane enters the private lab and has Cyber Dragoon wreck the computers around the room to torment Kenny as the new Dragoon neared completion but spent so long doing so that the new Dragoon was completed anyways; Tyson then rescued the fabled blade with a diving save once Kane finally elected to attack it directly -Tyson and Kane take their rematch to the building’s roof from Kenny’s lab and square off, with Tyson ultimately winning after a heated bout that pushed both sides to their limit -back inside the lab, the Bladebreakers sense that Tyson somehow defeated Kane up above and defeat their cybernetic knockoffs with teamwork and unity -business with Zagart settled, or so it seemed, the Bladebreakers go their separate ways in preparation for the upcoming world championships; meanwhile Doctor Zagart secretly has one last ace in the hole for defeating the Bladebreakers and claiming their Bit Beasts at last -some time later, a green-haired stranger challenged Tyson in the middle of training to a friendly bout; after a back and forth that rivaled the battle with Kane in intensity, the battle ends in a draw and Zeo, the stranger in question, takes his leave -it later turns out that Zeo held back considerably against Tyson to gather more combat data for a final confrontation -at the qualifier to represent Japan in the world championships, Tyson is met once again by Zeo and Zagart but Kai challenges Zeo first -Zeo gives Kai the full Super Trunks vs Perfect Cell treatment (complete with Kai overextending on his power output and Dranzer crashing into a fountain for being too slow to hit Burning Kerberus) but is stopped from stealing Dranzer by Tyson -Tyson bets Dragoon double or nothing for a rematch against Zeo, which the Zagart family accept -in a much more back and forth battle than their previous, Tyson and Zeo give their full effort only for Burning Kerberus to snatch Dragoon from his blade to ensure an easy victory… or so Zeo thinks as Tyson pressures him unimpeded by the loss of his Bit Beast with raw skill, proclaiming that they make one another stronger -Tyson also learns about the real aim and motivations of Zeo and Zagart; the real Zeo died long ago, the Zeo we know is actually said Zeo’s younger brother raised to take Zeo’s likeness and become a perfectionist, and Zagart seeks the Bit Beasts of the Bladebreakers to bring the real Zeo back from the dead with their unified wish-granting power -because Leon’s Burning Kerberus still has a Bit Beast while Tyson doesn’t, he simply attempts to blast apart the weakened Dragoon V2 only for Dragoon to break out from within Kerberus mid-attack and return to Tyson -Dragoon V2 evolves into Dragoon Galaxy and defeats Burning Kerberus’ strongest attack in a final clash of power -out of tricks to claim the Bit Beasts, Zagart is forced to accept the loss of his son with finality while Tyson convinces Leon to assert himself as his own person, leaving the former villains to walk off and pick up the pieces of their bond as father and son -Kai develops an extreme chip on his shoulder from his humiliating loss to Zeo and rescue by Tyson, which defines who he is for the upcoming world championships -in the qualifying tournament proper, Tyson and Kai are placed into the two separate brackets to decide Japan’s reps on the world stage -Tyson sweeps the competition with ease in his division while Kai has similar luck in his own bracket until, as revealed in a later side story, he reached the Finals and battled newcomer protagonist Daichi… who pushed Kai to his limit despite a commanding lead in their battle, which causes Kai to snap in fear of losing and defeat Daichi’s Gaia Dragoon in a fiery rage -insert G-Revolution here
@@mayborneflower Upon reading all of that I can say definitively say for me that pales nothing in comparison to the anime version. A lot of the recurring enemies came out one after the other defeated the next opponent moves on. Hardly any slice of life stuff unless it would have made it to long & needless as to why you didn't include any in your summary. With the Saint Shields at least they were a reacurring force from start to finish in the anime version. But Kane coming out the blue beats down Ozuma's blade completely destroying it last we hear of the Saint Sheilds going forward as his major upset beating Tala as powerful as he was to Ozuma & that's the end of him. Zeo wow what a quick intoduction & end point not much exploration into his character & relationship with Tyson. But Tyson actually losing his bit beast for once FOR ONCE... wow, now that's something unique to the series. I've found though for both 2000 & metal beyblade that the characters just seems so much better explored in their anime versions in metal especially Kyoya Tategami in Masters & Fury partcularly if you've ever seen them. Still nice to see read the otherside though of there counterparts. If you summarize G-Revolution Manga in the next vid I will read through that in the same way & scale the difference there if your happy with that🙂
LOL XD The part where you called Kai/Hilary ship to be the same as Matt/Sora is hilarious. I actually can understand. A lot of people used to hate Hilary because she was just a bystander that was just inserted because she was a girl, but I always liked her. I always shipped her with Tyson because I felt that she was the perfect foil for Tyson, as he tends to get a very inflated ego at times, and Hilary helps reel him back and focus on the bigger picture. She's a great character to help balance out Tyson's more reckless behavior.
I think one of the things I feel like criticizing in V-Force the most is the constant villain of the week battle they get. The previous Team Psykick battlers, the Bit Beast users, were all just randos that attacked the Bladebreakers but you literally never see them again afterward. They are just fought once and that's the end of that, which honestly made the power of those sealed Bit Beasts feel less of a threat until the tournament arc where we had Zeo and his partner take the stand.
@@raytaku_ As you pointed out, the structure of Beyblade worked better when there's a kind of tournament story. But I feel like they wanted to not repeat the same story arc as season 1, and instead wanted to delve into the story another way. And while I loved the lore about the Bit Beasts, it made the championship battles at the very end feel weak in comparison. How was it a world championship if they weren't even traveling around like before? Felt more like an above-average tournament.
It did take me awhile to get used to the animation for this season. But I feel once you get past that its a pretty good season. This season was packed with so much plots. Hilary did slowly get better similar to Daichi in the next season. Feel this season could have done with a few more episodes or cutting some of the filler fights for more scenes of King, Queen, and eo being a robot. Was surprised to find out Dizzi was a dub only character, will miss Dizzi. The OSTs were too good in the dub.
Hilary definitely grows on you and by the time we see her in G-Revolution, she’s a seasoned vet! I agree the ending could have been better overall but I still enjoyed the season nonetheless 😊. RIP Dizzi for us Dub watchers 🙈
😮 man that just takes it to a whole new level, it makes sense why Kai was so guilty over what happened to Wyatt. I wish they didn’t cut that from the Eng dub.
Even in the English dub, it's obvious that he dies playing a spinning top game. Plus, it's foreshadowed when Wyatt almost falls off a roof, but Kai saves him.
I remember Cartoon Network running marathons for V Force a lot back when it was initially being aired in the UK. I think it would be fairly accurate to say that V Force happened when the series popularity peaked (very bold statement I realise but it seemed like Beyblade was not hard to find when V Force was airing) The show itself is great. Only problem I had is everyone of the new bladers have the same motivation: They want the Bladebreakers Bit-Beasts for whatever reason. It does make you kind of bored of the concept when you almost never get a break from it. King and Queen, probably the most unique of all the new characters, end up getting roped into this Bit-Beast shit which is why G-Revolution deciding to stop focusing on the Bit Beasts was a breath of fresh air Some of the best episodes were the ones focused on just the characters and not so much the overarching story (Hilary's attempts to become part of the team, Tyson's friendship with Zeo)
V-force was definitely the peak here in the UK, your right. I think the huge emphasis on the bit beasts in the first 2 seasons is what drove the franchise’s popularity amongst kids. I mean who wouldn’t want a Dragon that they can metaphorically call out in a real life beybattle? Focusing less on the bit beasts in G-revolution was the right call, cos we got to explore the dynamic between the bladebreakers more which is ultimately the core of the series 🙌🏼
@@raytaku_ That’s what stands out about G-Revolution is that the overarching story is more of an excuse for the characters to develop. Both the Bladebreakers and the returning characters from the first series
I remember back in the day when there launcher upgrade was sold with a rc beyblade irl. Thay where fun for a while but useing counter spin was basically the forfit button
Did you ever manage to get your hands on those extra long ripcords? Those with a beefy launcher would give some insane spin to your Beyblade. In school we used to even do underhanded spin launches lmao 😂
I liked V force for the art change, the details in the Beyblade and the Saints Shields. The down parts though are early Hillary, Team Psychic as well as some of the other characters and lack of tournaments.
This is my favorite season of Beyblade. I started watching Beyblade because of s2.Season 3 was good too but they barely showed their Bitbeast. Hillary was annoying but she became bearable at the end.
V-Force took some time to grow on me, but I quite like it nowadays. The Saint Shields were cool, I really liked Max and Mariam’s dynamic, the BladeBreakers really felt like friends by this point, the focus on the Bit-Beasts was cool and Zeo was very enjoyable as both a friend of the gang and the final opponent for the series. Looking forward to the G-Revolution Retrospective!
FINALLY! I'VE BEEN TRYING TO CATCH YOU BOYS ALL DAY lol been checking back daily for this one can’t wait to watch this and then inevitably rewatch it, then fall asleep to this
ah v force holds a special place in my heart, i remember flipping through the channels and landing on toon disney showing the epic climax to the flash leopard vs dragoon battle and becoming interested in beyblade soon after finishing v force, going back to watch the original then g revolution plus it used my favorite of the background songs underdog.
Yes!! 👏🏽 there was something different about watching shows on TV back in the day. You can’t simply pause and watch it later, we where bound by the time slots which made me at least, immerse myself in the show so much more then I would have otherwise. Underdog remains one of my favourite anime songs of all time!!! 🔥🍻
Flash Leopard vs Dragoon final battle simply carried this season, it felt way more epic than Dragoon beating Cerberus+Dranzer+Draciel felt, which is also why the series ending felt so hollow. Tyson vs Zeo should have been a full-on 4-5 episode epic given the stakes.
Beyblade V-Force is good but there are a lot of unanswer question like about everything had happen in the series like what became of the stolen ancient rock were it contain bit-beasts now that Zagart gave up his goal of capturing the Bladebreakers Bit Beast. I would also like to know it's fate the same goes for other charaters who disappeared for unknown reason like Slim & Fatso(Gideon's henchmen), Dan (Doctor K's Assistant) and Doctor K herself. The biggest question of all is has Queen's Gabriel return to her after her beyblade is destroyed.
2:35:30 I wish the official beyblade UA-cam channel would’ve uploaded the Japanese dub with English subtitles, I think the English version has a lot of scenes that were cut out from the show.
one thing I don't see people commenting on is that for Tyson, the art change was so intense that even his skin color looks way lighter than previously. Kai looks younger. unpopular opinion, this second season is much better than G revolution. The way they got rid of bit beasts is unexcusable I mean how do you go from having bit beasts being the center of everything to being barely there? Also, the bladebreakers not fighting together as a team. And also the bladebreakers having always fought as team but somehow Tyson is the only one who gets all the credit bc the other members "haven't one yet" weren't they all fighting as a team this whole time? If Tyson has one 3 times so did the others bc Tyson was fighting for the team. He wouldn't have had the chance to fight Tala had it not been for Ray who was in a come back in season one. So Grevolution is messed up IMO because it doesn't make sense for the other members to ditch Tyson bc "they wanna win too" they all have already. But nothing beats season one for me. I do like the darker themes on this season.
V-Force was my jam as a kid, even moreso than Season 1. I loved the overarching story and more persistent antagonists. I also quite liked the CGI blades for the added detail, and getting to see the Bit Beasts in full colour. I know this video is based on the dub, and the dub is what I watched as a kid and an adult, but I wanted to mention that Wyatt actually _dies_ in the sub. And the dub doesn't do an _amazing_ job at hiding it, either. Poor kid becomes the first character to definitely die because of spinning tops, it's wild, but it really helps sell the threat of the Cyber Bit Beasts. Will you be covering the Fierce Battle movie? As I understand, it's not actually canon, but it's still pretty neat and it has the first instance of _Hang On,_ a song that was infamously (within the fandom, anyway) partially lost media for _years,_ as no full version was ever released, meaning that every upload of it had to be spliced together from the movie and various episodes of G-Revolution, all of it having sound-effects from the show as part of it. Then like two years ago it randomly got uploaded to UA-cam in full.
bro, as a sudaca fan of the battle songs, all, and I mean ALL the latin american OST was lost media for decades, if you want to hear Rise above the storm you had to listen multiple time beyblades crashing and Max moaning like having an orgasm
I agree, seeing the bit beasts in colour was awesome! 😮 that’s wild! I had no idea Wyatt actually died in the original, that insane and makes Kai’s guilt over it even more of a gut punch! I do plan to cover the movie too but it will be done in a separate video to the G-Revolution summary 🙏🏽🍻
Was excited to see this! Season 2 is probably my least favourite with how the first and second half are almost the same. With it having a world championship, I wish we could have some from the 1st season return like the mystics, Allstars or the undead team. I loved the animation change because of how much better the bit beasts became and how it helped the kids look younger and more their age. I started out not liking Hilary as a kid. I liked her much better in the next season.
I think the writers must have realised the strengths of the first season which must be a large reason why so many of those teams/characters returned in the final season. Hilary definitely grows on you as the season progresses and by the next season she’s a vet of the game 🙌🏼
@@raytaku_it's that this and the first season combine to lead us to everything in G-Revolution. They're all changing now. Even Tyson stops being so bragadocious.
Finally finished! I agree i would have vastly preferred to have Ozuma be the final villain. Zeo in general felt kind of shoehorned in. Ozuma though had awesome build up and his mindset felt more like something worthy of a final villain given how desperate he was to fulfill his clan's mission. Zeo's desperation while understandable just felt like a slightly watered down Ozuma just due to the amount of time we had with them.
Thanks for watching the whole thing 🙏🏽 I did like how the Saint Shields where including in the story all the way through to the end. Hopefully some day we get a sequel to the original trilogy and get to see these characters again! 🍻
When I watched V-force what surprised me and confused me a lot was the character change in Kai. I know he has complex emotions but I was still very surprised that he would show them so openly and then in G Revolution he is back to normal. He was always more a man of few words but showing he that he cares in action. I don't know, in v force he seemes a bit "weaker" in general. As I understand it, v force was a bit strange because there takao aoki didn't have an eye on it since he was in the making of the g revolution part from the manga so all of the character were a bit out of character. To me Tyson and Max were significantly different to their counterparts from the first season, too. It's subtle but it doesn't feel like them. Even today when you look at new blade breakers merchandise, tyson suddenly has blue eyes and the drawing style is very different. It's like somebody else drew them and forgot that tyson has brown eyes in g revolution. I like character development but it has to make sense and be congruent with the rest. To me, v force therefore didn't have the same feel to me like the rest.
I agree with you about Kai having grown up on the dub. But it turned out Wyatt my actually died in the original which explains why Kai was the way he was in this season.
@@raytaku_ true. But if you consider that kai and tala experienced many kids dying in the russian abbey (which was cut away, too) you'd think kai has become ... Numb to it? Don't know what's the best word. Back in the abbey, boys who couldn't keep up with the training regimen or lost in matches were thrown into the dungeon underneath and left to rot. That is also why tala is so against boris in g revolution. Tala and Kai have seen the most awful things already.
Tyson also got a lighter skin complexion compared to his old self back on season one. I think they wanted an improvised version of Tyson so they got him new clothes alongside a lighter skin tone lol
Yeah and it seems like they were just showing the same thing over and over like in the first season Tyson literally gave tala a speech about what Beyblading actually is and then in next season he himself forgot it so easily that he resides to cheating in some matter and ozuma has to beat him again to teach him a lesson the lesson that he has thought everyone in the first season like Robert and Kai seemed weak cause I don't know it just feels like this guy wouldn't talk this much neither did he talk in the third season and that zeo part was just meh like they just made Tyson super powerful and gave him all the plot armour cause zeo beat ozuma and Kai and max it just doesn't feel right and characters from first season aren't even mentioned like Mariah did Ray forgot about her when he was showing feeling for that girl with Kane but yeah Max was done right 👍 but dragoon was firee man when Tyson told him to forfeit and he just stares at him and starts to fight again and Hilary was kind of annoying at first but yeah it did get ok later on and some characters were just underused
@@ultimatepikachu3106 same, same. I just hate it when the second season was incogruent with the first one. In the first one, all of them seemed much more mature as personalities. I think it's because takao aoki worked on the manga when the studio did the 2nd season without him. To me the second season was a lot of plot armor, really boring because there is no real story like in the first season (just a bunch of new enemies) and like two steps back.
Hi Raytaku, personally it took me a while to get used to the new animation but later on it grew on me, i belive (Its been a while since i watched the show) it is the focus of the bond of the Bit Beasts and their user/partner/friend that is what i liked about Beyblade V-Force. And also Momentai.
Momentai- Nice to see you again Jonah. I share your liking for this season, the focus on the bit beasts this season was refreshing and interesting! 🤜🏻🤛🏽
I hope you do G Rev soon! All other series are of recent memory, but a refresher on the original series is nice. Reliving faint childhood memories through this lol
I enjoyed V Force. "It's Beyblade so it's in my blood. Lol😂" But it does have issues. 1. Hilary. I honestly don't understand why she is so focused on what Tyson is doing or his goals are. Yes she's the class rep... and??? She is not Tyson's mother, the teacher or anything of the sort so really She has no right to order Tyson around. 2. The Saint shields goal. The Saint shields are without a doubt one of the strongest teams and one of my favorites. "I only got Flash Leopard and it's been long destroyed from my childhood." Yet I never really understood why they were so sure the bit beasts would go out of control or the bladebreakers would misuse them. That's kinda of assuming, and you know what they say there.^^. But great video bud!^^ keep up the good work.
Nice synopsis on Beyblade V-Force. I have been waiting for this since the first Beyblade season synopsis video, and I can't wait for Beyblade G Revolution. Personally, I think that Beyblade V-Force was better than the 1st Beyblade season, and I loved the original Beyblade.
Personally to me, this felt very different from the first and third season. Hardly anyone from the og season another than a few key characters reappeared until season 3, including past teams who didn’t even complete in the world champions. Also, other than Hilary, no one from v force was in g revolution other than the series finale ending. V force also was where the really changed the art style into a more common type. Some didn’t like that because they thought that the more rough drawn style of the original gave it more personality. I did like some aspects of the art from the original especially some of the more loose art in it, but vforce and g revolutions style is way better in terms of consistency and overall visual appeal. Overall, it’s still a good season. And honestly other than maybe the metal series, this is better than anything we got going forward. Including Shogun Steel
Dr Zagart was the villain but Ozuma and the Saint Shields were the antagonists. They're the true match for the bladebreakers. Tyson is at his best against Ozuma this season. Ozuma is the villain version of Tyson.
I still prefer the art style from the first season, at least when it came to character designs. With V-Force it just looks too...clean for lack of a better word.
Yes v-force truly was a good build up season to g revolution. The only flaw that i had is Hilary had zero character development and was simply just showed into the story just to add a female character. Can't wait for you to cover g- revolution next!
I only watched the 1st season so had no opinion on V-Force and G-Revolution. From the recap though, it seems like while almost everything upgraded (Story, lore, the supporting characters, etc) our main group kinda suffered sequelities, especially Tyson. The gang especially Tyson kinda keeps reverting to their s1 pre character development selves. It's kinda annoying to see Tyson always being an insensitive brash twat who'd always lash out when frustrated then have to keep relearning the friendship lesson over and over. Kai on the other hand while less stand offish to his friends, keeps going through the same motions of getting beaten, wants to quit then reconsiders when his friends talk to him. Like dude I think its been proven so many times already friends are important and you're doing fine, stop being so dramatic whenever you lose- Max and Rei not changing much, I actually appreciate. They're still both doing their best even not much has been done to them. Kenny's also solid though I do wish he was given more development. His role was forever the same but I suppose at least he became a bit of a foil to Hilary who got the most development though partly because she's the newest member so had a lot to work with. I do think they were supposed to do something more for her, aside from being the one to keep the guys together. I think she was supposed to have some special ability concerning bit beasts, as shown in the beginning when she reacts so strangely to them. But alas the plot had to move. I think Ozuma's team being the last obstacle to beat wouldve been better as he was there from the start and has a very engaging lore and reason to seal the bit beasts, among the other bit beasts stealers. Zeo was also just too last minute that no one was given any time to simmer on his plight. Actually the last tournament felt rushed, especially when we got to King and Queen. Who for some reason suddenly started not liking cheating and worked together with Tyson to yeet Dr. K, while they were forcing other bladers to fight them and double teaming them 8I. In general it feels like a mistake that they went through the world tournament in the first season since suddenly they have a second season and needs to go through all that development again. If the first season had a smaller goal, this would be better paced because going through the same big goal a second time is never going to be as strong as the first one. It also forcibly nerfs down the supposedly world champions to force the reason they have to hit the same goal again.
As a kid I had a friend of mine record all the major blade breakers battles against team psychic. I paid him for it, it was worth it. Man OG and VForce was peak beyblade.
I'm hoping when we Get to the G revolution Video I hope we will also get a small mini For the film Especially since that introduces a character In the film that's integral to the next season
Alright, new round of differences between anime and manga for the V-Force arc. As before, I’ll just watch the video blind and address stuff as it comes up. To begin with, the V-Force equivalent starts two months later and starts with a mini-retcon to Tyson’s second battle against Tala. After Tyson won and Tala was understandably sore about losing to a last minute friendship evolution, Tyson made a friendly offer for a third and final rematch. Meet in two months at the same place they originally battled for the first time and they’ll duke it out no stakes. That’s the premise we start on, the anime was at least faithful in how the Bladebreakers went their separate ways in the interim. Now for the actual differences: okay so based on the premise above, it should go without saying that we don’t deal with Tyson’s school life or any local tournaments in any capacity; the first encounter with Ozuma instead happens when Tyson walks in on Tala fighting him, just in time to witness him lose in spectacular fashion; Tyson challenges Ozuma immediately and it starts rocky with Dragoon Victory on the backfoot against the overwhelming power and speed of Flash Leopard before getting hit with the full force of their finishing move… only for Tyson and Dragoon to reveal that not only did they survive but we’re holding back a bit; I’m throwing in a quick side note here to explain that the Saint Shields don’t have invisibility powers for their Bit Beasts in the manga, they’re just explicitly stronger than the Demolition Boys for the sake of Shonen-standard power escalation; back to the first fight with Ozuma, Flash Leopard’s performance gets Tyson pumped up before Dragoon reverses the prior curbstomping and cleanly sweeps Flash Leopard out of the dish despite Ozuma’s best attempts to resist; the aftermath of Tyson and Ozuma’s battle is actually spun off into two unique battles for the V-Force anime in adaptation (specifically all four Saint Shields ganging up on Tyson together and Ray’s big defeat against Dunga), which I’ll elaborate upon once I get to one of those; Dragoon doesn’t disobey Tyson or fail to appear for him in battle until two separate points taking place much later narratively; while the villains of the V-Force manga are making a point to tail and record the battle prowess of the Bladebreakers, they are mainly reliant on past battle data from the World Championship and the Demolition Boys’ endgame or new data acquired by picking fights with them directly (so no Doctor B, Gideon, and no obvious spies in black suits); the villains do indeed approach Kenny for something but it’s actually Doctor Zagart himself offering Kenny a job to put his knowledge towards Beyblade innovations rather than a kidnapping; the manga makes a point to show that the blader’s bond and personal resonance with their Bit Beast brings out their innate power, didn’t realize the anime had a plot point about Bit Beasts bolstering their owners in turn; at no point do Tyson or anyone else battle let alone egregiously lose to generic black blades operated by robot drone launchers; the other Saint Shields did indeed track the remaining Bladebreakers but we’re never given insight on any battles they’ve had, simply that our heroes recognized that their Bit Beasts were being hunted and urgently sought out Tyson together after touching base on the matter; we do not see Kai, who never retired, attend prep school during this point in time, so RIP Wyatt; the Psykicks team in the manga is under the direct command of Doctor Zagart and solely consists of two elite units, so no Gideon and none of these monster of the week trainees are a factor; no Bladebreaker sleepovers, what a waste; Kai is decidedly much less apprehensive about being teamed with the Bladebreakers… at first (we’ll get to that)… as they never really broke up in the first place and the Saint Shields were bad enough news to warrant them physically reuniting as soon as humanly possible; the entire V-Force storyline is localized to Japan so the Bladebreakers never seek any international help and no previous series characters besides Tala show up; the BBA is entirely uninvolved with the plot until the direct preamble to G-Revolution at the very end; due to the more compact utilization of Team Psykick in the manga, the Bladebreakers aren’t lured into a team battle death trap to claim their Bit Beasts like Doctor B would’ve arranged for; as I covered with my recounting from last video, the existence of Magna Cores was (re)introduced by Tyson using one for Dragoon F’s tip in his battle against Tala and then evolving Dragoon V rather than it being a creation of the villains; the implementation of Magna Cores are dramatically understated in the manga and their magnetic properties have no real impact at all, so there’s no learning curve for using them; the Bladebreakers are never abducted for a survival battle, instead the Bladebreakers (after being given a hot tip by Tala about Doctor Zagart’s ties to both the Saint Shields and Boris) elect to storm Zagart’s laboratory office building the night after Tyson’s first fight with Ozuma; since you brought up the Cyber Bit Beasts before they get to appear, I’d like to drop the bombshell that Kenny was the one who made them in the manga, in under a day; before I elaborate on that, the Saint Shields and Psykicks are uneasy allies in the manga rather than mutual enemies to each other for the Bladebreakers’ Four Holy Beasts… kinda, basically they want to take the Bit Beasts for safe-keeping like in the anime but shacked up with Zagart to claim them on his behalf and then immediately tank his operations from within in the mother of all double-crosses, which would’ve failed because he saw it coming a mile away; back to the Cyber Bit Beasts of the manga, Kenny was approached by Doctor Zagart after a seemingly chance encounter and was impressed with his research enough to offer him a job and resources to put his findings to use; as for how the Cyber Bit Beasts operate, the beasts are cybernetic reproductions of their original counterparts based on Kenny’s data from all four Bladebreakers while the blades that house them were designed to direct counter the playstyles of his friends, in addition to possessing adaptive capabilities, to push them their limits; I was wrong, there was a third fight that was adapted from Tyson and Ozuma’s first manga fight, which would be Max and Ray’s tag battles against Mariam and Joseph; to elaborate (since I’ve put it off), when Tyson defeated Ozuma by ring out in the manga, Ozuma had Flash Leopard wobble back into the beydish mid-celebration to drag the fight out and the other three Saint Shields attacked Tyson with him, which means the Saint Shields have zero qualms about fighting dirty or outnumbering a lone opponent whenever they face a disadvantage (complete with a dedicated team attack) in both canons; the Cyber Bit Beasts are not radioactive or corruptive in the manga; while they technically act as a level grind for facing the Cyber Bit Beasts like in the anime, the Saint Shields are decisively put to rest first between the two factions in the manga; the Bladebreakers start the V-Force storyline with their V series blade rather than being given or upgraded to them at a later point; like in the anime, the manga Cyber Bit Beasts also have power limiters albeit baked into the design from the start because Kenny was on the Bladebreakers’ side through and through, so he capped their adaptive abilities and power output so his friends could more reasonably overcome them in a straight fight; the Bladebreakers don’t suffer any falling out or train together during the manga version of V-Force; Kane and friends are the main Psykicks unit in the manga, collective depicted as willingly evil mercs working under Zagart; while Kane and friends are depicted as kind souls who worked to save an elderly stranger’s life in the anime, the Psykicks are introduced in the manga by kicking the Saint Shields when they’re down after their final defeat to the Bladebreakers, with Kane in particular being an arrogant bully due to having both prodigal Beyblading talent and genius-level intellect; Kane’s first battle with Tyson has him wield Cyber Dragoon from the start (after breaking it in against Ozuma, fresh off his big loss), where he overwhelms Tyson, reveals to Kenny that he and Zagart found the secret limiters on the Cyber Bit Beasts in advance, and, upon unleashing Cyber Dragoon’s unmitigated power, brutally destroyed Dragoon V with ease; at no point do any of the Bladebreakers consider the use of illegal mods for a competitive advantage; given how I’ve been name-dropping Zagart long before his presence was alluded in Episode 20, it should go without saying that he was unveiled as the central antagonist almost immediately and the Bladebreakers go directly for him after a bit of sleuthing;
@@raytaku_ I ran out of room it seems :/ To continue off now that we’re at the Psykick team battle, it’s time to say “this is structured much differently in the manga” and explain the broad strokes on how; immediately after the Bladebreakers beat the Saint Shields and Kane breaks Dragoon, Kenny runs off in a panic with Tyson following while the other Bladebreakers fight their respective knock-offs simultaneously on the spot; Kenny reveals to Tyson that the Cyber Bit Beast project was a false flag for the fact that he was secretly using Zagart’s resources to build a better Dragoon blade that’s near-completion… only for Kane to storm in and torment Kenny by destroying the lab computers seconds away from his work’s fruition, though Tyson saves the defenseless Dragoon blade from Cyber Dragoon at the last second; Tyson and Kane take their rematch to the roof of Zagart’s lab, where the new and improved Dragoon Victory 2 initially curbstomps Cyber Dragoon, Kane angrily adapts to Tyson’s new power with Cyber Dragoon growing stronger in kind, and Dragoon’s power exceeds anything Kane or Cyber Dragoon could ever fathom with his first use of the Hyper Victory Tornado; back inside the lab hallway, Tyson’s final attack on Kane shakes the whole skyscraper so the Bladebreakers correctly assume he got stronger and won, thus they subsequently step up their game to not be left behind and blitz the Psykicks by combining their best attacks to wreck the Cyber Bit Beasts three-to-one in succession after fighting their own counterparts got them nowhere; the Cyber Bit Beasts are not supported by advantageous terrain or high tech cheating (again, no robot grunt work); Max doesn’t lose to Jim; there is no stone tablet containing Bit Beasts within it (that we know of) and, once again, no trips out of Japan for Tyson… so that means no Alan or Doctor K; Kenny’s Einstein Metal Spring blade doesn’t appear until the back half of the G-Revolution part of the manga, as it is part of the Hard Metal System line of Beyblades (aka, the predominantly metallic ones); Zagart has no known prior ties to the BBA and his base of operations (operating from an office building through a legal front in Tyson’s home city) was easily located by Kenny after Tala revealed his involvement with all plot developments to that point; backtracking to Tyson’s first fight with Ozuma and the part where Flash Leopard is blasted out of the dish and comes back in, all four Saint Shields attack Tyson’s Dragoon Victory together as the other Bladebreakers race in to ironically warn Tyson about the Saint Shields coming after him; with their combined power, the Shields use a team attack designed to seal away Bit Beasts on the weakened Dragoon only for Ray to launch in his Driger Vulcan and take Tyson’s place in the seal (which is why he also loses his Driger in the anime); as for how Zeo is depicted, he’s Zagart’s strongest blader of all (so above the likes of Tala, Ozuma, and Kane, possibly combined) due to a strict upbringing who loves playing the violin and presents himself as a cool-headed stoic; Zeo first meets Tyson and Kenny while they’re doing some training for the upcoming world championships and challenges Tyson to a friendly battle; in their first battle, Zeo with Burning Kerberus (an almighty “three-headed” blade designed by Zagart after thorough research on the Bladebreakers, Tyson in particular) immediately manages to pressure Tyson despite the already unprecedented power displayed by Dragoon V2 and effectively manipulated him into abiding the tempo he set, as if Zeo were conducting a dirge while Tyson had to play along to his own demise; Tyson would ultimately get the hang of the tempo Zeo set and counter his melodic style of battle, then both Dragoon and Kerberus unleashed their Bit Beasts and knocked each other out; once their battle was called a draw, Zeo walked off… at which point he and Zagart establish that he held back to gather just a bit more data on Tyson and his new Dragoon before committing to taking the Bladebreakers’ Holy Beasts for real; once again, the lack of Doctor K or mysterious rock in the manga means that the only Psykick left in Zagart’s roster is Zeo, so no filler battles against K’s line of Psykicks to be had; due to the Bladebreakers being seldom together for prolonged periods and the crises they face being dramatically shorter lived (plus smaller in scope regardless), no dedicated training room is made for the team; Tyson and Zeo only battle twice in the manga version of V-Force; after Driger is taken from Ray, the Bladebreakers seek the Saint Shields for a rematch as soon as they can (in this case, finding Zagart’s lab in an office building after some digging and storming the place that very night) without any extra battles in between; at the final confrontation between Bladebreakers and Saint Shields, all four from both sides meet during the former’s storming of Zagart’s lab building; the Saint Shields collectively challenge all four Bladebreakers at once in a bid to take their Bit Beasts in a single fell swoop, confident that Ray being short his Driger puts them at an advantage; in total contrast to the anime, Tyson has two technical victories over Ozuma (winning the first battle by ring out, and winning again more decisively despite facing all four Saint Shields at once) as opposed to anime Ozuma holding the better track record with the final battle being a tie; the final venue of the manga’s V-Force arc is actually a qualifying tournament for the new World Championship rather than an oddly Japan-insular World Champion in itself, though said World Championship (the focal point of G-Revolution in the manga) is still a tag-team tournament; the V-Force plot concludes immediately before the actual tournament rather than during it; needless to say, Zeo of the manga is not only fully aware of Zagart’s plans from the get-go but also personally focal to their final stages; King and Queen do not exist in the manga, and neither the Saint Shields nor Kane’s iteration of the Psykicks have any involvement with the World Championship tournament whatsoever (also King’s Ariel blade is also known as Wolborg 3, so chances are that Tala owns it in the manga canon before being reintroduced with Wolborg 4 later); due to Kane’s quartet and Zeo himself being the only Psykicks in the manga canon, Gordo and his Orthus by default also don’t exist; Kai having an issue of his Dranzer V2 being too strong for its own good but not fast enough to truly make it work is actually in the manga as well but it comes up in his fight with Zeo instead; there is no mariachi in the manga, ever; for Zagart’s last gambit, he and Zeo simply intercept Tyson outside the tournament venue and challenge him outright only for Kai to interrupt and challenge Zeo first; Zeo fights Kai and easily toys with him till he snaps, launching into an all-or-nothing final attack that even Zeo himself admits to being too dangerous to withstand… so Kerberus sidesteps Dranzer, causing him to crash into a nearby fountain and all but take himself out while Zeo mocks Kai for being too slow; Max does not receive Draciel V2 until G-Revolution in the manga
@@raytaku_ Out of room once again, this one is all for the final battle. Buckle up. Zeo’s Kerberus doesn’t lay claim to Dranzer after handily defeating Kai, but only because Tyson steps between their blades and tells Zeo something like “you already won the fight, that’s enough” when he tried to steal Dranzer; Kai takes his defeat to Zeo in the manga far worse due to it being a one-sided beating that ended with him as a damsel for Tyson to rescue, developing a severe chip on his shoulder that follows him into G-Revolution; Kai fighting in top form without a Bit Beast is actually a Tyson feat from the manga, I’ll elaborate soon; Max never fights Zeo, and Zeo never gets to use Dranzer or Draciel’s power (seemingly only having the power to seal Bit Beasts in itself, not harness them outright); the Zeo of the manga is not a robot but instead the younger brother of the real Zeo, Leon, whom Zagart raised to assume the likeness and interests of his new namesake in addition to seeking the Four Holy Beasts held by the Bladebreakers; as manga Zeo is a proxy for the long dead real Zeo, Zagart and Leon’s aim is to use the Four Holy Beasts to revive the dead with a wish to make their family whole again; after Kai’s loss, Tyson keeps Zeo from taking Dranzer (after initially stepping between them to stop the stealing process) and challenges Zeo double or nothing by staking Dragoon for a battle just between them; in the actual battle, Tyson (prepared by his previous fight with Zeo and directly witnessing Kai’s defeat) and Zeo (running on the most up to date combat data he and Zagart assembled) have a much more back and forth bout than they did previously with Tyson ultimately taking the upper hand; while Zeo and Burning Kerberus don’t get to steal and assimilate Dranzer between battles like in the anime, the manga instead has them demonstrate the ability to abduct a Bit Beast mid-battle by stealing Dragoon straight from his blade; despite Zeo’s reasonable assumption that Tyson would be down and out without Dragoon’s power, he’s proven wrong as Tyson keeps fighting on like nothing happened and highlights how fighting with Dragoon sharpened his raw skills as a show of how they bring the best out of one another; after being overwhelmed by a de-fanged Tyson and Dragoon V2, Zeo desperately attempts to take them out with his strongest finishing move only for Dragoon to break himself free from within Kerberus; upon returning to his blade, Dragoon (in stronger unity with Tyson than ever before) evolves from his Victory 2 form into Dragoon Galaxy then defeats Burning Kerberus in a final clash of power; made aware of Zagart and Leon’s situation during the final battle, Tyson gets Leon to assert himself as his own person and Zagart to cope with the real Zeo’s death; after the final battle, Zagart and Leon walk off to start fresh; Burning Kerberus lacks the ability to split three ways, instead having finishing moves corresponding to its three heads (one for fire, one for wind, and one for electricity) plus a secret fourth attack that combines all three into darkness
@@raytaku_ And done. Please take care to read everything over from the top, I’ve had to go back to adjust chronology and fix grammar as I went along. Here’s hoping the G-Revolution comparison goes much smoother.
As I've got older, I've spotted a lot of recycled characters (always minors though so they're interchangeable anyway) all through the series. It's kinda cool tbh cause I recognize them so it links them together a bit more.
I like first season and absolutelly love third one but never get into second one. Whole season is basically just big organization trying to capture bit beast by using same method over and over. And its not even smart. Its always: new guy is wreaking havoc, gyus trying to stop him, guy runs to place where machines are prepared, battle, guy lose the game. I can get it at beggining with team psykick but after they defeat new enemy is coming and they are pretty much same thing. Episode 36 is perfect example. What would you even run after the guy? In the moment Max saw empty building he should be: "not again". Saint shields are wasted potential. They are trying to look scary but they clearly doesnt know what they are doing. They want to capture bit beast but only once actually tried. Only thing that made them different from other groups was that they didnt have big chunk of money and played fair(most of the times). They are not bad but they could be great. I also dont like Kai in this season. Kai was always one of the strongest. He didnt often battle but each time he did it was amazing. In this season they suddenly made him weaker or at least it looked like it. He almost never lose but draw way too much. I also dont buy his soft side. Guy is stoic as hell. It took bladebreakers a lot of time to open to them and then suddenly some no name from school with 1-2 episodes of iteraction make him weaver? I dont mind him having soft side but not like this. Only thing good in this season is Hilary. Yeah she was anoying at the beggining but she grew up to be amazing addition. She is always keeping guys on the ground and is able shut down tyson. She also perfect "watson". Somebody to explain what is happening - and so to the audience.
I do agree that Hillary annoyed me in the beginning but she has been the main person to help get the bladebreakers back together whenever they have a conflict. When it comes to v-force I can't lie I kind of didn't like the changes especially with the art style but over the years it kind of grew on me especially with the blades themselves. I definitely agree with Tyson being super wishy-washy though as a character it was always just like he gets a friend he gets betrayed. A part of me still prefers the OG Beyblade especially with character development but V Force has a lot of changes that does get right
@@raytaku_ broooo and this was before streaming when new episodes of Beyblade used to come out every Friday on my side so we spent at least a month with no Draciel 🤕😭
@@mziemoyo6810you were probably also waiting a month and a half for Ray to reclaim Driger and half that amount of time for Kai to reclaim Dranzer not to mention a third of that remaining time for Max to reclaim Draciel again.
54:54 Here Kai wasn't furious about fighting the scientists just because they used Wyatt, he was furious because Wyatt actually died in this scene, which was cut in the dub
For me my favorite battle from this season was for years Tyson vs Ozuma round 3, at the park. But as I re-watched the entire season a couple of years ago, I came to think that Zeo vs Ozuma match, while "out of nowhere" for some, which is fair, I found it really interesting, as it wasn't just functioning as the usual flex from the new villain on the previous one. Sure it does look and work that way, but I also think the battle really wouldn't have worked as it did if we didn't see Zeo struggle before actually starting to take over the battle. For starters, while Cerberus did all the heavy lifting there, you have to give it to Zeo and his dad for actually becomeing as relevant as they did in such a short period of time, showing how superior Zagard really was in terms of everything to Dr. K. Then we have Zeo's actual mental breakdown. Not only did he find out out of nowhere that he had to go up against his friends because of his dad, which is already tough enough, but he really had to in order to "become huma" it's like being told you're adopted, only 100x worse 😂 like really. Who do you bring this up to? Third. There's a reason why it had to be Ozuma. The fight is basically giving us not Tyson's friend, or Zeo's enemy, but the leader of the saint shields. He who has to make sure no one gets his hands on the four bit beasts, if not without his concents, and having been Ozuma the benchmark throughout the entire season, and if Zeo was going to prove something, it couldn't just be Kane or the king, would it?😂 Last. The fight was intense AF right from the start! Even WITHOUT using their bit beasts, you could already feel the stakes were at an all time high in this one, as we were actually seeing how Ozuma, who we knew was a power house, performed against someone who wasn't the blade breakers/Tyson. Something I personally would've like to see back against Kane, but here I feel was more fitting as I'm not sure if you guys noticed, but the little hint was given earlier too. Right as the saint shields were jumping Tyson, who was the one who stepped in and actually sent Ozuma's beyblade flying? Exactly. Too long but I really wanted to share this with whomever is reading.
For me Vforce is not that bad, it’s underrated. This season has the darkest theme of the Trilogie and that's a change. The focus on BitBeast was also a very good idea
My biggest problem with V-force is at the end of, they decided to ruin 2 characters in order to pump up Tyson. That last match really pooped on Kai and Max. Max loses Draciel twice. Kai loses Dranzer for what reason, not to sure since this power creep is completely retconned in the next season. But they did the worst character trope which makes the main character more hated then anything.
The scene of Wyatt having an absolute mental breakdown was always such a real scene to me with how it showed his stages of breaking down, initial cowardice leading to stealing Dranzer, misplaced efforts to become like Kai in his training, and finally going over the edge with trying to control the cyber bit beast to fast track the training that would’ve taken months or years
Do g rev next please. The mg cores were an interesting idea. They were mg cores not rip cords. Great review! I still can’t believe wyat died in the original version.
@@raytaku_ That's great cannot wait enough for it. One thing I liked what you did for this review not sure if it was present in the last one, is that you went through the scenario of the overall story whilst showing the epiosde in which it was related to like recaping everything in one big vid. I also played beyblade music whilst watching it to the related series music it's in. & I'm sure to do that with G-Revolution.
I agree she did grow the most. she was defiently the glue of the team. at a young age i went thru the motions along with others at that targeted age group Hilary was way to bossy in the beginning and their shared history made tyson clash with her. also her butting in early on pissed him off since she really didn't know beyblading even if her ideas were actually helpful as seen in the training. I dont remeber if she is better in G revolution but she is def a strong team member . They beyblade breakers didnt really change i loved all of them. tyson really did follow a loop buti loved him as a protag because of his big heart, best shown when he fights in defense of this friends all of them. early on he was put to the brink for hilary and kenny. then he would after betrayals from Kane and zeo. be so hurt but he did the same song and dance. i think the 3rd season character designs are defintely the best. The tournaments are what we remember i think all the seasons got their strengths. the battle music was something serious. rise above the storm , im not going down etc.
Hey good on you for doing this! This swries has a special place in my heart and its nice to see someone else nerd out about it. V force had a ton of great moments and even the tyoical bbeyblade goofiness that gets more apparent was funny to well, poke fun at, although i feel like in this iteration it cpuld get particularly grating at times. I dont hate hilary but i do hate that there never felt like there was a purpose to her character than to fill the archetypical sidelined cheering character role. Kenny was already great on the sidelines and she just felt like extra space. She did get better in g revolution though, but i honestly still cant recall a moment where the show was made better with her inclusion. Sorry hilary! All thw antagonists were super intereating though my favorites gotta be the cyber ones. Rays fight with sarina and wyatt straight up fucking dying in kais arms still sticks out to me as a Moment in the series. Even zeo had his charm, i actually really liked his dynamic with tyson and tysons goofy ass speech about how he was real and valid even if he wasnt human is strangely endearing to me. One thing i did HATE about this season and really, every season after the og one is the artsyle. It makes them look like generic chibified versions of themselves compared to the varying designs with different height and body types we had in the first season. Here they feel so short to melike WHY. It just feels generic and makes all the designs a lot less unique. Thanks for the video, ill be looking forward to the one on g revolution since that one had a TON of interesting ideas and concepts that honestly kept me really invested.
I grew up with the original, but back then I had no idea of the manga. I started to collect as many Beys as I could istead, not bothering about who's I got because they looked so cool. Over the years I started to finally just collect my favourite Bladers Beys that being Kai ❤ As I went I started collecting other character's Beys I liked too, but I still could not stop battling with them. Let me just say it was the most expensive (damn I can't spell today) hobby I've ever had 😂 having to rebuy Uriel and Zeus. I even had the original Takara Dranzer MS but like an idiot I sold it for a cheap price and had to rebuy the red version, not happy at all. I lost my Dranzer launchers too along the way. I skipped over MF because it was so bland and I could never get into it, was brought back again after Burst was released. Gotta say Burst and Burst Turbo is on par with the original series. I did like Shogun Steel too.
Beybattles on the classroom tables with everyone surrounding the match and cheering on their side were some of my best childhood memories. I dropped Beyblade after the OG trilogy concluded. I might have to pick up Burst and Burst Turbo. Given those season got you back into watching Beyblade, I must say I’m intrigued to check them out now 🫱🏻🫲🏾
@@raytaku_ Ah, no I never had any one at school play it 😭 But yeah the first three Burst series are the best, Turbo especially. Really enjoyable got me all excited and into collecting again.
This series is a sleeper actually. Theres constant threats with the real antagonists being Ozuma and the Saint Shields. But the story is amazing actually. A lot of heart and soul in this series.

But when you end each sentence it sounds like you are raising your voice while elongating the syllables and you do a quick pause, in America that usually implies you are asking the audience a question, so I would try to keep the last word in the sentence the same and not elongated, again though please take this as nothing but constructive criticism, your video was great

Thanks for sharing this 🙏🏽
Plus, you have Daichi's Strata Dragoon which is the beyblade coefficient of the 5th sacred beast of Chinese mythology of the golden dragon
Which makes sense when all the sacred beasts have some more lore behind them then the others
Dragoon was in a family sword
Driger was a symbol of the White Tiger clan
Draciel has some story from Max’s grandmother
So a stupid in-joke at my job ended up going way too far over the past few months, and now I own several hundred dollars in high-end Beyblades and launchers and have a 23 & 4 W/L record in real life money matches. so this popping up right now confirms either we live in the Matrix, or I am destined to be a bey fighter on a professional level
😭That’s so awesome! Your workplace and colleagues sound awesome 👏🏽
I remember a couple people mentioning that Dizzi was a dub exclusive character. Makes me wonder how all her interactions were handled in the original
One thing I learned as well recently was that those commentary guys during the tournaments were dub only.
Dizzy, and the commentators made the show and battles overall so much more memorable imo.
@@calebglasscock7392 Your right on that, it is odd. 🤔
@@calebglasscock7392 IIRC they make some cameos in G-Rev, as part of an ending montage, but that was cut in the dub.
That would have been nice. Sadly the only return we see is the japanese version end credits. Which also includes a japanese only character and manga only character that shows up.
Fun Fact: In the Japanese version of Episode 16: Tragedy of The Cyber Blader
Yuya dies, the digital sacred beast version of Dranzer delivered a horrible shock to Yuya as it grew stronger in the battle with Dunga with Vortex Ape. (Poor kid passes away in Kai's arms)
In the English dub it was implied that Wyatt (Yuya) "went insane" due to the shock.
Crazy! They should have left that in the dub, makes Kai’s revenge plot so much more impactful 🙏🏽
Damm. Kai and Wyatt were so gay coded. The creators really said klll the gays huh
Since detailing the differences between anime and manga for V-Force was a giant tangled mess due to how the adaptation process flip-flopped events around and added a lot of fluff between the major story beats, I’ll just leave a neat and hopefully succinct timeline of the manga’s events.
Here goes:
-two months after Tyson defeated Tala and Wolborg 2 with his new and improved Dragoon Victory, Tyson goes to meet Tala for a rematch he offered as a show of good will
-upon reaching the site for battling Tala, Tyson is instead witness to Tala getting handily beaten by Ozuma, a new blader he’d never seen before
-Tyson challenges Ozuma immediately and wins in convincing fashion by ring out after being initially overwhelmed
-Ozuma has his Flash Leopard re-enter the arena to drag the battle out and is joined in attacking Tyson by his three allies, the Saint Shields
-as Tyson is beaten down four to one, the other Bladebreakers race in to warn him of the Saint Shields but find Dragoon about to be stolen by their combined powers; Ray sacrifices Driger to save Tyson and Dragoon
-after the Saint Shields leave victorious, Tala reveals to the Bladebreakers that both he and Ozuma work under Doctor Zagart; online searching by Kenny uncovers more information on the enigmatic scientist including that his lab is actually an office building in town
-the Bladebreakers elect to storm the building later that night in hopes of challenging the Saint Shields once again
-while desiring to prove himself useful to the Bladebreakers, Kenny wanders alone with his laptop and comes across Doctor Zagart
-when Kenny ends up being a no-show to the Bladebreakers’ meetup before the storming of Zagart’s lab, Tyson decides to press forward without him; the Bladebreakers go as high as they’re able and come across the Saint Shields in a corridor
-the Saint Shields, Ozuma now armed with Flash Leopard 2, challenge the Bladebreakers to a full team battle but only Tyson and Ray (the two most aggrieved) take the challenge
-while Tyson and Ray are overwhelmed at first by being undermanned and outgunned, they’re able to cover one another well enough to stay competitive; when the Saint Shields combine powers in a bid to steal Dragoon, Tyson and Ray combine powers to break the sealing technique and defeat all four opponents at once (Ray gets Driger back in his blade at this point)
-after the Saint Shields are defeated and their true allegiance against Zagart is revealed, Zagart himself enters the scene with both the Psykicks and, to the Bladebreakers’ shock, Kenny in tow
-Kane breaks Ozuma’s blade and Tyson throws out a challenge to him; Dragoon V is faced with Cyber Dragoon, a blade designed by Kenny to structurally counter Dragoon in addition to possessing an artificial reproduction of its namesake Bit Beast
-in truth, Kenny is still on the Bladebreakers’ side and the Cyber Bit Beasts he creates were merely a way to push his friends’ limits, complete with putting a secret restraint in to cap their adaptive properties and power output
-Zagart and Kane, who’s extremely proud of his high IQ, then reveal that they knew about the kid gloves Kenny put on the Cyber Bit Beasts and unlock them across the board so that Cyber Dragoon can utterly destroy Dragoon V2 with its full power
-Kenny runs off frantically with Tyson trailing behind while Max, Ray, and Kai have no choice but to face down Jim, Salima, and Gouki together on the spot
-Kenny reaches his lab in Zagart’s facility and reveals to Tyson that he was working on a new Dragoon blade with Zagart’s resources that’s near completion
-Kane enters the private lab and has Cyber Dragoon wreck the computers around the room to torment Kenny as the new Dragoon neared completion but spent so long doing so that the new Dragoon was completed anyways; Tyson then rescued the fabled blade with a diving save once Kane finally elected to attack it directly
-Tyson and Kane take their rematch to the building’s roof from Kenny’s lab and square off, with Tyson ultimately winning after a heated bout that pushed both sides to their limit
-back inside the lab, the Bladebreakers sense that Tyson somehow defeated Kane up above and defeat their cybernetic knockoffs with teamwork and unity
-business with Zagart settled, or so it seemed, the Bladebreakers go their separate ways in preparation for the upcoming world championships; meanwhile Doctor Zagart secretly has one last ace in the hole for defeating the Bladebreakers and claiming their Bit Beasts at last
-some time later, a green-haired stranger challenged Tyson in the middle of training to a friendly bout; after a back and forth that rivaled the battle with Kane in intensity, the battle ends in a draw and Zeo, the stranger in question, takes his leave
-it later turns out that Zeo held back considerably against Tyson to gather more combat data for a final confrontation
-at the qualifier to represent Japan in the world championships, Tyson is met once again by Zeo and Zagart but Kai challenges Zeo first
-Zeo gives Kai the full Super Trunks vs Perfect Cell treatment (complete with Kai overextending on his power output and Dranzer crashing into a fountain for being too slow to hit Burning Kerberus) but is stopped from stealing Dranzer by Tyson
-Tyson bets Dragoon double or nothing for a rematch against Zeo, which the Zagart family accept
-in a much more back and forth battle than their previous, Tyson and Zeo give their full effort only for Burning Kerberus to snatch Dragoon from his blade to ensure an easy victory… or so Zeo thinks as Tyson pressures him unimpeded by the loss of his Bit Beast with raw skill, proclaiming that they make one another stronger
-Tyson also learns about the real aim and motivations of Zeo and Zagart; the real Zeo died long ago, the Zeo we know is actually said Zeo’s younger brother raised to take Zeo’s likeness and become a perfectionist, and Zagart seeks the Bit Beasts of the Bladebreakers to bring the real Zeo back from the dead with their unified wish-granting power
-because Leon’s Burning Kerberus still has a Bit Beast while Tyson doesn’t, he simply attempts to blast apart the weakened Dragoon V2 only for Dragoon to break out from within Kerberus mid-attack and return to Tyson
-Dragoon V2 evolves into Dragoon Galaxy and defeats Burning Kerberus’ strongest attack in a final clash of power
-out of tricks to claim the Bit Beasts, Zagart is forced to accept the loss of his son with finality while Tyson convinces Leon to assert himself as his own person, leaving the former villains to walk off and pick up the pieces of their bond as father and son
-Kai develops an extreme chip on his shoulder from his humiliating loss to Zeo and rescue by Tyson, which defines who he is for the upcoming world championships
-in the qualifying tournament proper, Tyson and Kai are placed into the two separate brackets to decide Japan’s reps on the world stage
-Tyson sweeps the competition with ease in his division while Kai has similar luck in his own bracket until, as revealed in a later side story, he reached the Finals and battled newcomer protagonist Daichi… who pushed Kai to his limit despite a commanding lead in their battle, which causes Kai to snap in fear of losing and defeat Daichi’s Gaia Dragoon in a fiery rage
-insert G-Revolution here
Your a legend for sharing this 🫱🏼🫲🏿🍻
@@raytaku_ Anytime. Also, I need a new ❤️, I had to do a grammar fix just now.
Holy shit. That's barely anything like the anime version. Weird.
Haha, I’m so glad you caught that.👌🏽 I agree the two make a great pairing for those exact reasons you stated 🍻
@@raytaku_ I feel the same about Tyson and Hilary. Speaking of which where exactly in the video have you compared Kai/Hilary with Matt/Sora
Yes! This is a fair point you make 🫡👍🏽
@@raytaku_ As you pointed out, the structure of Beyblade worked better when there's a kind of tournament story.
Not so fun fact, Wyatt actually died. This was toned down in the dub as him "just losing his mind", but he legit dies in Kai's arms
😮 man that just takes it to a whole new level, it makes sense why Kai was so guilty over what happened to Wyatt. I wish they didn’t cut that from the Eng dub.
Even in the English dub, it's obvious that he dies playing a spinning top game. Plus, it's foreshadowed when Wyatt almost falls off a roof, but Kai saves him.
nice cant wait for g rev retrospective
🙏🏽🍻
Yeah, in like, a year
WE NEED IT
I remember Cartoon Network running marathons for V Force a lot back when it was initially being aired in the UK. I think it would be fairly accurate to say that V Force happened when the series popularity peaked (very bold statement I realise but it seemed like Beyblade was not hard to find when V Force was airing)
The show itself is great. Only problem I had is everyone of the new bladers have the same motivation: They want the Bladebreakers Bit-Beasts for whatever reason. It does make you kind of bored of the concept when you almost never get a break from it. King and Queen, probably the most unique of all the new characters, end up getting roped into this Bit-Beast shit which is why G-Revolution deciding to stop focusing on the Bit Beasts was a breath of fresh air
Some of the best episodes were the ones focused on just the characters and not so much the overarching story (Hilary's attempts to become part of the team, Tyson's friendship with Zeo)
Been waiting on this one! thanks for putting the time in making this I really enjoyed v-Force
🙏🏽🍻
Looking back...Those Cyber bitbeast dudes are basically crazy scientists who kidnapped a bunch of kids and unalived Wyatt...Where are the police lmao
@@KingsV1 lmao!!! So true. It’s a shame the dub excluded the fact Wyatt actually passed away, it adds so much to the story and Kai’s revenge plot.
I remember having one legitimate one. But i remember buying the cheep knock off beyblades since thay came with a extra long rip cord XD
I liked V force for the art change, the details in the Beyblade and the Saints Shields. The down parts though are early Hillary, Team Psychic as well as some of the other characters and lack of tournaments.
I pretty much agree with everything you said there! 👍🏽
Great video. I can't wait for your G-Revolution retrospective

Looking forward to the G-Revolution Retrospective!

ah v force holds a special place in my heart, i remember flipping through the channels and landing on toon disney showing the epic climax to the flash leopard vs dragoon battle and becoming interested in beyblade soon after finishing v force, going back to watch the original then g revolution plus it used my favorite of the background songs underdog.
💯percent agree!
Yes! The GOAT of retrospectives is back!
Thank you for your continued support 🙏🏽🍻

2:35:30 I wish the official beyblade UA-cam channel would’ve uploaded the Japanese dub with English subtitles, I think the English version has a lot of scenes that were cut out from the show.
Fair! The eng dub did cut/change up a fair bit.
@@raytaku_ I wonder why it’s hard to find it in Japanese with English subtitles.
one thing I don't see people commenting on is that for Tyson, the art change was so intense that even his skin color looks way lighter than previously. Kai looks younger. unpopular opinion, this second season is much better than G revolution. The way they got rid of bit beasts is unexcusable I mean how do you go from having bit beasts being the center of everything to being barely there? Also,
the bladebreakers not fighting together as a team.
You bring up some interesting points, thanks for sharing 🤜🏻🤛🏽
Agreee lol grev sucks
It’s coz Tyson won the final matches that’s why
@@raytaku_ Looking forward to G-Revolution, then!

Wolborg gang for life!
G-Revolution will be the next video that goes up on the channel 🤜🏽🤛🏻🍻
This retrospective has given me a new appreciation for this series.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@raytaku_it's that this and the first season combine to lead us to everything in G-Revolution. They're all changing now. Even Tyson stops being so bragadocious.
@@ChristopherJames1993I fully agree with you there 👍🏽
Finally finished!
@@raytaku_ the Saint Shields were some of the ones I wish came back 😔
Underdog was a def banger that was slept on
💯!!!
Love the videos, massive throwback & so well explained -Thank you!! :)
🤜🤛🏾
You know what i realized? The story beats of v-force are reversed from the first beyblade series. The tournament happens after the big threat is beat
😮great observation, I never thought of that before
Yh but it drags on the whole season is just about stealo their bit beasts it got old fast
Hi Raytaku, personally it took me a while to get used to the new animation but later on it grew on me, i belive (Its been a while since i watched the show) it is the focus of the bond of the Bit Beasts and their user/partner/friend that is what i liked about Beyblade V-Force.

I enjoyed V Force. "It's Beyblade so it's in my blood. Lol😂"
But it does have issues.
"I only got Flash Leopard and it's been long destroyed from my childhood."
Yet I never really understood why they were so sure the bit beasts would go out of control or the bladebreakers would misuse them.

I can’t say I disagree with any of the points you made 😊 Thanks for sharing 🍻
Dr Zagart was the villain but Ozuma and the Saint Shields were the antagonists. They're the true match for the bladebreakers. Tyson is at his best against Ozuma this season. Ozuma is the villain version of Tyson.
Yeah, the story was much better suited to have Ozuma be the final boss
@@raytaku_yeah he should have been.

I still prefer the art style from the first season, at least when it came to character designs. With V-Force it just looks too...clean for lack of a better word.
Too ‘clean’, I think that’s the perfect word to describe the issue most of us had with the change in artwork.
Yes v-force truly was a good build up season to g revolution. The only flaw that i had is Hilary had zero character development and was simply just showed into the story just to add a female character. Can't wait for you to cover g- revolution next!
Thank you, I’m working on getting a video out for G-Revolution too🙏🏽🍻
I only watched the 1st season so had no opinion on V-Force and G-Revolution. Like dude I think its been proven so many times already friends are important and you're doing fine, stop being so dramatic whenever you lose-
Max and Rei not changing much, I actually appreciate.
I agree with your point around the contrast of the first season and second season. Thank you for sharing your thoughts 🙏🏽
As a kid I had a friend of mine record all the major blade breakers battles against team psychic. I paid him for it, it was worth it. Man OG and VForce was peak beyblade.
I'm hoping when we Get to the G revolution Video I hope we will also get a small mini For the film
Especially since that introduces a character In the film that's integral to the next season
That’s exactly the plan, I’m going to be covering the movie in a stand alone video and then G-Revolution next 🙏🏽🍻
@@raytaku_soon??
Oh man, how did I miss this. Can’t wait to go over the difference between anime and manga again…
Well first thing, no Hilary.
😂 Hilary is a lot I’ll give you that
Alright, new round of differences between anime and manga for the V-Force arc. As before, I’ll just watch the video blind and address stuff as it comes up.
To begin with, the V-Force equivalent starts two months later and starts with a mini-retcon to Tyson’s second battle against Tala. After Tyson won and Tala was understandably sore about losing to a last minute friendship evolution, Tyson made a friendly offer for a third and final rematch. Meet in two months at the same place they originally battled for the first time and they’ll duke it out no stakes. That’s the premise we start on, the anime was at least faithful in how the Bladebreakers went their separate ways in the interim.
Now for the actual differences: okay so based on the premise above, it should go without saying that we don’t deal with Tyson’s school life or any local tournaments in any capacity; the first encounter with Ozuma instead happens when Tyson walks in on Tala fighting him, just in time to witness him lose in spectacular fashion; Tyson challenges Ozuma immediately and it starts rocky with Dragoon Victory on the backfoot against the overwhelming power and speed of Flash Leopard before getting hit with the full force of their finishing move… only for Tyson and Dragoon to reveal that not only did they survive but we’re holding back a bit; I’m throwing in a quick side note here to explain that the Saint Shields don’t have invisibility powers for their Bit Beasts in the manga, they’re just explicitly stronger than the Demolition Boys for the sake of Shonen-standard power escalation; back to the first fight with Ozuma, Flash Leopard’s performance gets Tyson pumped up before Dragoon reverses the prior curbstomping and cleanly sweeps Flash Leopard out of the dish despite Ozuma’s best attempts to resist; the aftermath of Tyson and Ozuma’s battle is actually spun off into two unique battles for the V-Force anime in adaptation (specifically all four Saint Shields ganging up on Tyson together and Ray’s big defeat against Dunga), which I’ll elaborate upon once I get to one of those; Dragoon doesn’t disobey Tyson or fail to appear for him in battle until two separate points taking place much later narratively; while the villains of the V-Force manga are making a point to tail and record the battle prowess of the Bladebreakers, they are mainly reliant on past battle data from the World Championship and the Demolition Boys’ endgame or new data acquired by picking fights with them directly (so no Doctor B, Gideon, and no obvious spies in black suits); the villains do indeed approach Kenny for something but it’s actually Doctor Zagart himself offering Kenny a job to put his knowledge towards Beyblade innovations rather than a kidnapping; the manga makes a point to show that the blader’s bond and personal resonance with their Bit Beast brings out their innate power, didn’t realize the anime had a plot point about Bit Beasts bolstering their owners in turn; at no point do Tyson or anyone else battle let alone egregiously lose to generic black blades operated by robot drone launchers; the other Saint Shields did indeed track the remaining Bladebreakers but we’re never given insight on any battles they’ve had, simply that our heroes recognized that their Bit Beasts were being hunted and urgently sought out Tyson together after touching base on the matter; we do not see Kai, who never retired, attend prep school during this point in time, so RIP Wyatt; the Psykicks team in the manga is under the direct command of Doctor Zagart and solely consists of two elite units, so no Gideon and none of these monster of the week trainees are a factor; no Bladebreaker sleepovers, what a waste; Kai is decidedly much less apprehensive about being teamed with the Bladebreakers… at first (we’ll get to that)… as they never really broke up in the first place and the Saint Shields were bad enough news to warrant them physically reuniting as soon as humanly possible; the entire V-Force storyline is localized to Japan so the Bladebreakers never seek any international help and no previous series characters besides Tala show up; the BBA is entirely uninvolved with the plot until the direct preamble to G-Revolution at the very end; due to the more compact utilization of Team Psykick in the manga, the Bladebreakers aren’t lured into a team battle death trap to claim their Bit Beasts like Doctor B would’ve arranged for; as I covered with my recounting from last video, the existence of Magna Cores was (re)introduced by Tyson using one for Dragoon F’s tip in his battle against Tala and then evolving Dragoon V rather than it being a creation of the villains; the implementation of Magna Cores are dramatically understated in the manga and their magnetic properties have no real impact at all, so there’s no learning curve for using them; the Bladebreakers are never abducted for a survival battle, instead the Bladebreakers (after being given a hot tip by Tala about Doctor Zagart’s ties to both the Saint Shields and Boris) elect to storm Zagart’s laboratory office building the night after Tyson’s first fight with Ozuma; since you brought up the Cyber Bit Beasts before they get to appear, I’d like to drop the bombshell that Kenny was the one who made them in the manga, in under a day; before I elaborate on that, the Saint Shields and Psykicks are uneasy allies in the manga rather than mutual enemies to each other for the Bladebreakers’ Four Holy Beasts… kinda, basically they want to take the Bit Beasts for safe-keeping like in the anime but shacked up with Zagart to claim them on his behalf and then immediately tank his operations from within in the mother of all double-crosses, which would’ve failed because he saw it coming a mile away; back to the Cyber Bit Beasts of the manga, Kenny was approached by Doctor Zagart after a seemingly chance encounter and was impressed with his research enough to offer him a job and resources to put his findings to use; as for how the Cyber Bit Beasts operate, the beasts are cybernetic reproductions of their original counterparts based on Kenny’s data from all four Bladebreakers while the blades that house them were designed to direct counter the playstyles of his friends, in addition to possessing adaptive capabilities, to push them their limits; I was wrong, there was a third fight that was adapted from Tyson and Ozuma’s first manga fight, which would be Max and Ray’s tag battles against Mariam and Joseph; to elaborate (since I’ve put it off), when Tyson defeated Ozuma by ring out in the manga, Ozuma had Flash Leopard wobble back into the beydish mid-celebration to drag the fight out and the other three Saint Shields attacked Tyson with him, which means the Saint Shields have zero qualms about fighting dirty or outnumbering a lone opponent whenever they face a disadvantage (complete with a dedicated team attack) in both canons; the Cyber Bit Beasts are not radioactive or corruptive in the manga; while they technically act as a level grind for facing the Cyber Bit Beasts like in the anime, the Saint Shields are decisively put to rest first between the two factions in the manga; the Bladebreakers start the V-Force storyline with their V series blade rather than being given or upgraded to them at a later point; like in the anime, the manga Cyber Bit Beasts also have power limiters albeit baked into the design from the start because Kenny was on the Bladebreakers’ side through and through, so he capped their adaptive abilities and power output so his friends could more reasonably overcome them in a straight fight; the Bladebreakers don’t suffer any falling out or train together during the manga version of V-Force; Kane and friends are the main Psykicks unit in the manga, collective depicted as willingly evil mercs working under Zagart; while Kane and friends are depicted as kind souls who worked to save an elderly stranger’s life in the anime, the Psykicks are introduced in the manga by kicking the Saint Shields when they’re down after their final defeat to the Bladebreakers, with Kane in particular being an arrogant bully due to having both prodigal Beyblading talent and genius-level intellect; Kane’s first battle with Tyson has him wield Cyber Dragoon from the start (after breaking it in against Ozuma, fresh off his big loss), where he overwhelms Tyson, reveals to Kenny that he and Zagart found the secret limiters on the Cyber Bit Beasts in advance, and, upon unleashing Cyber Dragoon’s unmitigated power, brutally destroyed Dragoon V with ease; at no point do any of the Bladebreakers consider the use of illegal mods for a competitive advantage; given how I’ve been name-dropping Zagart long before his presence was alluded in Episode 20, it should go without saying that he was unveiled as the central antagonist almost immediately and the Bladebreakers go directly for him after a bit of sleuthing;
Thanks for taking out the time to share this. Super insightful and interesting 🙏🏽🍻
@@raytaku_ Anytime dude, I just wish I had more time in the day type more stuff out.
@@raytaku_ I ran out of room it seems :/
To continue off now that we’re at the Psykick team battle, it’s time to say “this is structured much differently in the manga” and explain the broad strokes on how; immediately after the Bladebreakers beat the Saint Shields and Kane breaks Dragoon, Kenny runs off in a panic with Tyson following while the other Bladebreakers fight their respective knock-offs simultaneously on the spot; Kenny reveals to Tyson that the Cyber Bit Beast project was a false flag for the fact that he was secretly using Zagart’s resources to build a better Dragoon blade that’s near-completion… only for Kane to storm in and torment Kenny by destroying the lab computers seconds away from his work’s fruition, though Tyson saves the defenseless Dragoon blade from Cyber Dragoon at the last second; Tyson and Kane take their rematch to the roof of Zagart’s lab, where the new and improved Dragoon Victory 2 initially curbstomps Cyber Dragoon, Kane angrily adapts to Tyson’s new power with Cyber Dragoon growing stronger in kind, and Dragoon’s power exceeds anything Kane or Cyber Dragoon could ever fathom with his first use of the Hyper Victory Tornado; back inside the lab hallway, Tyson’s final attack on Kane shakes the whole skyscraper so the Bladebreakers correctly assume he got stronger and won, thus they subsequently step up their game to not be left behind and blitz the Psykicks by combining their best attacks to wreck the Cyber Bit Beasts three-to-one in succession after fighting their own counterparts got them nowhere; the Cyber Bit Beasts are not supported by advantageous terrain or high tech cheating (again, no robot grunt work); Max doesn’t lose to Jim; there is no stone tablet containing Bit Beasts within it (that we know of) and, once again, no trips out of Japan for Tyson… so that means no Alan or Doctor K; Kenny’s Einstein Metal Spring blade doesn’t appear until the back half of the G-Revolution part of the manga, as it is part of the Hard Metal System line of Beyblades (aka, the predominantly metallic ones); Zagart has no known prior ties to the BBA and his base of operations (operating from an office building through a legal front in Tyson’s home city) was easily located by Kenny after Tala revealed his involvement with all plot developments to that point; backtracking to Tyson’s first fight with Ozuma and the part where Flash Leopard is blasted out of the dish and comes back in, all four Saint Shields attack Tyson’s Dragoon Victory together as the other Bladebreakers race in to ironically warn Tyson about the Saint Shields coming after him; with their combined power, the Shields use a team attack designed to seal away Bit Beasts on the weakened Dragoon only for Ray to launch in his Driger Vulcan and take Tyson’s place in the seal (which is why he also loses his Driger in the anime); as for how Zeo is depicted, he’s Zagart’s strongest blader of all (so above the likes of Tala, Ozuma, and Kane, possibly combined) due to a strict upbringing who loves playing the violin and presents himself as a cool-headed stoic; Zeo first meets Tyson and Kenny while they’re doing some training for the upcoming world championships and challenges Tyson to a friendly battle; in their first battle, Zeo with Burning Kerberus (an almighty “three-headed” blade designed by Zagart after thorough research on the Bladebreakers, Tyson in particular) immediately manages to pressure Tyson despite the already unprecedented power displayed by Dragoon V2 and effectively manipulated him into abiding the tempo he set, as if Zeo were conducting a dirge while Tyson had to play along to his own demise; Tyson would ultimately get the hang of the tempo Zeo set and counter his melodic style of battle, then both Dragoon and Kerberus unleashed their Bit Beasts and knocked each other out; once their battle was called a draw, Zeo walked off… at which point he and Zagart establish that he held back to gather just a bit more data on Tyson and his new Dragoon before committing to taking the Bladebreakers’ Holy Beasts for real; once again, the lack of Doctor K or mysterious rock in the manga means that the only Psykick left in Zagart’s roster is Zeo, so no filler battles against K’s line of Psykicks to be had; due to the Bladebreakers being seldom together for prolonged periods and the crises they face being dramatically shorter lived (plus smaller in scope regardless), no dedicated training room is made for the team; Tyson and Zeo only battle twice in the manga version of V-Force; after Driger is taken from Ray, the Bladebreakers seek the Saint Shields for a rematch as soon as they can (in this case, finding Zagart’s lab in an office building after some digging and storming the place that very night) without any extra battles in between; at the final confrontation between Bladebreakers and Saint Shields, all four from both sides meet during the former’s storming of Zagart’s lab building; the Saint Shields collectively challenge all four Bladebreakers at once in a bid to take their Bit Beasts in a single fell swoop, confident that Ray being short his Driger puts them at an advantage; in total contrast to the anime, Tyson has two technical victories over Ozuma (winning the first battle by ring out, and winning again more decisively despite facing all four Saint Shields at once) as opposed to anime Ozuma holding the better track record with the final battle being a tie; the final venue of the manga’s V-Force arc is actually a qualifying tournament for the new World Championship rather than an oddly Japan-insular World Champion in itself, though said World Championship (the focal point of G-Revolution in the manga) is still a tag-team tournament; the V-Force plot concludes immediately before the actual tournament rather than during it; needless to say, Zeo of the manga is not only fully aware of Zagart’s plans from the get-go but also personally focal to their final stages; King and Queen do not exist in the manga, and neither the Saint Shields nor Kane’s iteration of the Psykicks have any involvement with the World Championship tournament whatsoever (also King’s Ariel blade is also known as Wolborg 3, so chances are that Tala owns it in the manga canon before being reintroduced with Wolborg 4 later); due to Kane’s quartet and Zeo himself being the only Psykicks in the manga canon, Gordo and his Orthus by default also don’t exist; Kai having an issue of his Dranzer V2 being too strong for its own good but not fast enough to truly make it work is actually in the manga as well but it comes up in his fight with Zeo instead; there is no mariachi in the manga, ever; for Zagart’s last gambit, he and Zeo simply intercept Tyson outside the tournament venue and challenge him outright only for Kai to interrupt and challenge Zeo first; Zeo fights Kai and easily toys with him till he snaps, launching into an all-or-nothing final attack that even Zeo himself admits to being too dangerous to withstand… so Kerberus sidesteps Dranzer, causing him to crash into a nearby fountain and all but take himself out while Zeo mocks Kai for being too slow; Max does not receive Draciel V2 until G-Revolution in the manga
Insane work as always just in time sonjncan ignore my work for some beyblades

I can’t thank you enough for this. I’m a huge fan of v-force and it’s fascinating to see someone analyse it.

That Dennis guy looks like a character from one of the nerd teams that the BladeBreakers faced in the US arc in the first season.
😂
👏🏼 I fully agree with the points you made! 🫱🏻🫲🏾
A part of me still prefers the OG Beyblade especially with character development but V Force has a lot of changes that does get right
The endin of that Max Vs. Jim battle had me sick for weeks as a kid lmaoo
Right!!! 😭
We need retrospective on g revolution
54:54 Here Kai wasn't furious about fighting the scientists just because they used Wyatt, he was furious because Wyatt actually died in this scene, which was cut in the dub
Seeing ty grow up (i know thats not his jp name but whatever) throughout the series was awesome.

He who has to make sure no one gets his hands on the four bit beasts, if not without his concents, and having been Ozuma the benchmark throughout the entire season, and if Zeo was going to prove something, it couldn't just be Kane or the king, would it?😂
Last.
Dude, thank you for sharing this, it was such an enjoyable read into your thoughts for this season 🙌🏼 🍻

Now we need G-Revolution analysis. The best Beyblade season ever.

What a content drop 👏

For me Vforce is not that bad, it’s underrated. This season has the darkest theme of the Trilogie and that's a change. The focus on BitBeast was also a very good idea
Agreed! 🍻
Can’t say I disagree with the point you raise there
The scene of Wyatt having an absolute mental breakdown was always such a real scene to me with how it showed his stages of breaking down, initial cowardice leading to stealing Dranzer, misplaced efforts to become like Kai in his training, and finally going over the edge with trying to control the cyber bit beast to fast track the training that would’ve taken months or years
And the fact he actually died in the original adds to how wild his arc was!
Dranzerberus is sick.
🔥
V-Force in a Nutshell:
DENIYAL ISSUES!
😂
Do g rev next please. The mg cores were an interesting idea. They were mg cores not rip cords. Great review! I still can’t believe wyat died in the original version.

Another spunking review watched all the way & now I can only imagine what you have in store for G-Rev my favourite of the lot.🔝
I’m working on a massive video for G-Rev 🤜🏽🤛🏻
@@raytaku_ That's great cannot wait enough for it. One thing I liked what you did for this review not sure if it was present in the last one, is that you went through the scenario of the overall story whilst showing the epiosde in which it was related to like recaping everything in one big vid. I also played beyblade music whilst watching it to the related series music it's in. & I'm sure to do that with G-Revolution.
I loved. Hope you can did more Beyblade. I cant watch all of them
I plan to cover all the seasons of the Beyblade anime 😊🍻
Thank you for watching the video and sharing your thoughts 🙏🏽🍻
idk about you but I prefer the japanese name of the MC which is Takao which is very unique, but tyson is alright i guess
Tyson sounds badass though ngl
Perfect time to drop a g revolution video
Working on it 🤜🏽🤛🏻
Hey good on you for doing this!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for the kind words 🙏🏽 G-revolution was my favorite, I’m working on that video as we speak 😊🍻
Can’t wait for g revolution!
