He's a lot harder in merciless. He summons the dire shadows you have to deal with in addition to him. Then on top of that Megidolon straight one-shot you no matter your stats, only if buffs/de-buff are in play
@@Yurihyuga766 He does but it's a lot less likely to kill you since you can get by on sheer level advantage. Watch out if he uses Concentrate right before though. I do think it's one of his harder skills to avoid cause he fires it off so quickly, that and Riot Gun(Which also pretty much OHKOs you in merciless) since it stun locks you if you get hit once.

Dire Shadows, Request Shadows, Painful past and Painful Past+, everybody then the Reaper request will appear after you beat Demiurge+ which in itself requires you beating Akira+which you unlock by beating the the + version of the first 3 bosses. After you beat the reaper, then you beat the demiurge gain see the ending and the unlock NG+ merciless mode. Your rewards for starting that, is the ability to fuse Lucifer and the dire shadows in NG+ drop a characters ultimate weapon.
@@jaybomb5638 It's is on paper, but if your at the level where your thinking about going after the reaper, the other bosses go down like chumps even on hard as long as you got a good team comp. The only ones that gave me trouble is Mariko+, King Frost and Mara cause they're HP tanks and have a homing attack that's hard to avoid
I am expecting this fight either to be hell in Merciless mode or relatively the same, and I'm hoping it's hell honestly, because I didn't get as much satisfaction as I wanted from beating the reaper the first time

They made him immune to flu in Royal too
Megidolon still one shots you in merciless though, which is arguably worse since you can't block it, only avoid it.

@@breloompauncher5593 dire shadows aren't required. I only beat the one in 2. jail and was able to fight the reaper anyways.

I mostly played as Haru and Yusuke due to them being my favorite characters (also Haru's gun/grenade launcher is so useful in Strikers)
