Just ordered my bow shop vice and I'm excited for it to get here. I need to sit a lot of times to work on things due an old back injury so I just got the vice alone and am screwing down to the table. Great review!

Love my Baker vice! Had it a few yrs. Looked at a few and glad I went with BAP.
I bought an OMP wide limb vise late last year. Vise arrived with the ball joint loose so I attempted to follow their instructions which involve loosening a set screw, making an adjustment and then tightening the set screw. First problem is they had packed two of the larger allen wrenches rather than one large and one small but fortunately I had a spare. Second problem is the set screw was completely seized up! Ended up destroying my allen wrench and eventually stripping the screw using a socket allen wrench because the screw would simply not budge. I'd bought it from Lancaster Archery so contacted them and they said to contact OMP directly. After months of sending emails and even phoning OMP to leave a message (I don't live in the US so phoning is PITA!) I had no response from them. Eventually Lancaster gave me a refund which was nice of them.
In the meantime I bought a Ram micro-adjust vise which is awesome however, this BAP vise looks fantastic and appears to be great value for money. So wished I'd done a bit more research and found this video (it just popped up in my suggestions list) but I can't really complain about the Ram vise as it works well. I can certainly complain about OMP and their vise though!

great video, I had the older OMP but needed the model for the wider limbs really glad I got the BAP. *not a huge fan of the neon green but thats my only "complaint lol"
Agree with everything you have said. I have had the BAP vice for several years and really like it. I find it more versatile than the OMP vice.
I've been using the omp vise since the halon first came out and I've had every mathews bow after that and I've never had the wide limb attachment or the micro adjust, it's really not needed. I would like to try one of the BAP vises though.
