Personally i just don´t get the whole "We need to make this game last for years and years and years" part and we need to constantly be making money on it. I might just be an old sour boomer, who is blinded by nostalgia for something that never actually existed in the first place, the whole Miss the idea of it but not the truth. But i miss games that are just that a single player campaign that tells a story from beginning to end. There is no reason to return to the campaign after completing it. There might be a pvp option, but its only for entertainment, ala go in spend a few hours with friends and that´s that. As for the company if the development cost is covered and a small profit is made cool then the game is a success if not its a failure. Don´t get the whole we NEED to constantly be making money on this game is also something i don´t get. Its a bit like saying okay i baked this cake and sold it to you, now you have to keep paying me money for it. And no you don´t automatically get a new cake every time i bake a new one, you have to pay for that too and keep paying me for it. If you asked people to do that, most people would just look at you with a weird look on their face. Saying umm no we are NOT going to pay you anything past the original cost. After i payed for the cake i don´t owe you any more money.

Trying to act like this game doesn't look like a damn banger is such a reach. I'm also not going into it even wanting some profound story. The first one was decent but nothing revolutionary. If the game delivers on solid single player gameplay as well as multi-player gameplay and doesn't push some woke agenda within the game I'm all for it. We don't want to be the mirror reflection of the brain dead leftists who went after Stellar Blade because it has booba. It's gameplay isn't groundbreaking but it's FUN and polished as hell. Space Marine 2 is looking like it might be in that same boat and I'm 100% okay and ready for it.
We would be the opposite, 40k has great stories to tell, and playing that out is epic. looking only for braindead combat and being told "IT'S EPIC!", doesn't make it so. I don't find that too intereting and it quickly becomes boring. I say buy it and enjoy it man!.

6v6 multiplayer is not large enough, it needs to be 32 v 32 scale Gears of war , or its not innovative , it looks like the same game from a decade ago, a cheap God of war knock off / gears
The gameplay repeatedly thrusts a helmeted blue warrior into fleshy, slime-covered, enveloping waves. And inside this Freudian dialogue: microtransactions; obeying a voyeuristic narrator; pressure to upgrade the weapon; late-game substitution of tyranids for CSMs (=helmeted black warriors?). Nearly all expressions of human love are valid to someone but I'd worry that this is latently pushing players (who might be young) into meta-game dynamics that cissify them, without advertising it up-front such that it's consensual.
I think 99% of people who buy this game probably gonna treat this game like a cod go straight to multiplayer and make they own chapter not lay any finger on singleplayer since everybody that doesn't live under a rock know what writer say on twitter

I know WH40K has one of the largest lores out there, but not everything needs to be some big story that changes the setting forever
There is one chill the fuck out. There’s been black Ultramarines, Black Legion, Blood Angels, etc. If the geneseed does not alter the skin color via mutation it won’t affect anything. The Alpha Legion is the exception as they all look almost the same. However if you are Raven Guard, Salamanders or Nightlords for example you will be identical to every other space marine in your chapter as far as skin color. A European descended Salamander and African descendent with both be charcoal black. I mean if you want to take it further why doesn’t every ultramarine have blonde hair and blue eyes like guilliman. Or every blood angel blonde like Sanguinius?

What are you on about? Ultra-mar has every human race in it. Its where they pool al their recruits. Space marines are not clones of their primarch. They are born regular humans. They only gain the mannerisms of their primarchs after a geneseed is implented. They can be black. White. Hispanic.
What customisation could there really be? Everyone is wearing mark X armour, other than some extra skulls and eagles, you don't really get many choices. First born marines had all the history behind their armour so it actually represents events and tradition

Isn't it kind of suspect how one of your squadmates is darker skinned than everyone else? Maybe I'm just not up-to-date with how Space Marines work, but I was under the impression that being implanted with the gene seed makes look as close to your Primarch as possible, more or less making all Space Marines within a chapter look similar. This is why the Salamanders are all black, like Vulcan. Unless this is me being a bit too schizo, this feels like another case of forced diversity and a breach of the lore, because your other squadmate (Galadriel, I think his name was) looks more like what you'd expect from an Ultramarine. It's not over, it never even began for Space Marine 2.

The gameplay migth turn out to be good, but they have to change two things: take out the slowmo melee swing and make the tyranids swarm more agressive. The trailler show how sluggis the melee is and the ai sn't really agressive rather just sit back and wait. The pvp need more game modes because the 6v6 is not enough, they should make a much bigger player counter like 12v12, 20v20 and so on and even add ai units (guards, renegads) in a big battle game mode.
the game "trailer" shows more aesthetics then gameplay. the gameplay. From what i can see its pretty bland and outdated kinda reminds me of a third person of darktide without the gunplay and melee mechanics.
The melee ie even bound to wsad only, which is crazy to have only four directions of attack BOUND to your attack prompts, it's like we are back to 8bit generation 😂😂😂

Hey Gamza, i agree with your assessment about the game dying out within a year, but i also think that is perfectly ok. If the campaign is good and the gameplay is fun, that's all that should matter. Not every game needs to be a huge competitive game that lives on for years. We've had those and they lack soul.
Space Marine 1 didn't last long too...What if they made it some sort of tps hack and slash with diablo 3 loot mechanics and power system to make the game last longer... Or make a galactic war like Helldivers 2..

that's not at all how it works. the implant darkens the skin when exposed to intense ultraviolet radiation, and it will gradually fade, probably over the course of weeks. if you had a naturally dark skin, it won't turn you white. but there shouldn't be black ultramarines, since they are based on greeks/romans, so they should look like that. there are chapters out there that are african themed, like Celestial Lions, who are black.

Plus on top of that if you all knew how game development and game engines work, you would know that not every single enemy you see is gonna pay attention to you. If that was the case the engine would literally break and/or crash your system or PC. Then yall would complain about the game being unplayable. Someone else in here said it’s a remake of the first game and nothing is different. Sir! The customization alone is 10x more than wtf the first game had. If you want to see anything like this you would have to play space marine augmented and that shit crashes now. If you don’t want to play it because it doesn’t live up to your imagination then say whatever and keep it pushing. But what I will agree with you all on is Amazon trying to stain warhammer. But SM2? In general all the trailers from this game have been great and the general public opinion agrees with it, you're the very flew that as being skeptic which I undestand and agree but you're doing it all in the wrong reasons.
I'm not going to buy space marine 2 in a pre-order im gonna wait a bit before before buying it, I belive this game as ALOT of potencial the grafics look good and the chaos space marines looks damn nice I will be hopeful for this game I won't judge the game becuase it fully out.
It's a remake of the first but with Nids instead of Orks, and that's it, there's no more. Yes, graphically it looks great, but the story is boring and cliche.

I dont know man People still play space marine 1 multiplayer since over 10 years since it Release on PC and ps 3 and continue to do that. Even if space marine is a slightly better Version of the first game the faithfull community of space marine 1 will keep it alive like they did before.
