Hammer is a legend. It hurts me that the hip hop community clowned him. Now rappers do everything across the board: movies, sitcoms, cartoons, commercials. However, when Hammer did it back then, brothas were beefing. Richard Pryor once said: be proud of a brotha doing ANYTHING.

Hammer is a very intelligent man he just had too big a heart trying to help too many and had to make a change. This interviewer isn't the best, but he is young and since he hasn't been too tainted yet so he isn't pushy or taking over the conversation with answering his own questions and like some loving to hear themselves talk. I think it came across comfortable and i enjoyed hearing what The Hammer had to say.

Hey interviewer.i think you asked well thought out questions and actually engaged Hammer to speak more about himself, not less. You did this by being quiet and letting him finish his thoughts without interceding with pointless rhetoric. i find that interviewers nowadays cant shut their trap longenough to allow the person being interviewed to conclude a complete thought without chiming in to interrinterrupt.
i surmise this is because it hurts their pretentious ego's to hear the sound of any one elses voice other than their own. U did good. Cheers

There are many people out there btw who supported Hammer and never gave up on him even when many of us did. Yeah I said us because when I was a kid in first and second grade I had his albums and yes I road the band wagon for a few years. Much respect Hammer you are still doing it and many rappers even your own city always had respect for you. Even the ones that dissed you and didn't want none after you confronted them. MC Hammer has usually been framed as a kind of pop culture caricature of himself. This interview gives him space enough to let his intellect shine through. He comes across as considerate, wise, and intelligent. Love it!

Hammer was one of the realist in hip hop. He just promoted his hip hop in a more pop way instead of street but if you listen to his lyrics he was talking about real street issues. Hammer was more respected in the streets than most "gangsta" rappers. You dissed hammer on a song he was coming to see you in person not on social media. Ask MC Search(3rd Bass) and Redman
On a side note: is this interviewer high?

Mc Hammer carried well over 50 people on his payroll even after he wasn't hot anymore. He had his hands in investments with Silicon Valley back in the 90's. He invested way early in IT companies like Twitter and UA-cam. He's always been before his time. Plus, Oaktown's greatest Hip Hop Legends like E-40 and Too Short still have respect for him...which is all that matters.

I have ALWAYS respected Hammer. He had positive music, tried to avoid controversy, and it didn't have to say "nigga this, nigga that." If he were to put music out today, he wouldn't sell. Be don't do bitches n drugs....no guns. Sad but unfortunately that's what sells.
