@@KeerPlays ya I agree with that, I hate Tormentors in gm's, nice job though! I can understand you not wanting to run this again, such a pain in the ass, but a great accomplishment completing it solo!
Awesome run and fun to watch! And WATCH is the only way I’ll touch this one solo. Painful even in a fireteam. Did you dupe the first blight orb in the boss room? I didn’t know that was a thing anymore!
Thanks! Yes, I duped the ball, for some reason it still works for these charges. You need to swap weapons at around 70% when you are dunking the charge. I could not do it before the boss though
I’m just wondering if facet of purpose is really necessary here because you get a void overshield already with void hegemony. Is there another reason you use it over the other fragments?
Void hegemony does work but the overshield is rather small. Considering you create so many orbs, facet of purpose provides even more overshield, which is very nice with such a risky play style of always being in the middle of action. Also, sadly I do not think there are other more useful fragments that could be used instead
@@KeerPlays just been using it in the campaign wow its so fun. Is there a downside to running grapple melee and combination blow? Obviously i wouldn’t use grapply in gms but its more fun for the campaign.
@@KeerPlays nice to know thanks could really find any info online. I have unlocked deadfall so I’m getting frost armor from stasis super with purpose on top of the void overshield form hegemony.
What exactly was breaking the barrier champ shields? That linear doesn't have it intrinsically and I didn't see any of the normal anti-barrier methods. How does it work?
I've found the class item with Inmost Light and Liar's Handshake to be more useful than anything else. The problem with Caliban's Hand is that it kills the little enemies too quickly, often times leaving me without the means to effectively kill the big enemies. Without Caliban's Hand, I can build up enough steam to roll over the big enemies, and the stasis freeze just gets rid of whatever little enemies that I don't need by the time that I'm ready to hit the big enemies. There's definitely a balance to this punchy-build, but if it's done correctly, anyone can have infinite invisibility, damage reduction, and the ability to counter all three champion-types effectively. I like to pair this build with a rocket sidearm and sniper for further champion coverage and add-clear and range, and then The Parasite for quick DPS when dealing with final bosses. Now, the above is specifically for Nightfalls and other low-mid tier content. For raids, so long as you don't rely on exotic armor for boss damage, you can use this punchy-build for them, too; or just change your armor on the fly. Basically, this punchy-build works for everything, because weapon choice doesn't matter much. Enjoy.
Much respect, only a few soloplayers are even attempting this GM,glad you are one of them.o and btw in you're intro word you daid foetracer, must have been a typo.since you are using the forerunner exotic weapon 😮
It heals you on each counter punch, which is quite useful. But the truth is - I have zero class items with Liars, and there is no way to farm for those. Maybe eventually I'll get one but for now I am using normal Liars.
@@KeerPlays ya this is definitely one that caliban/liars does really well on since most of the ads are beefy...been practicing on master with it and the room with the exploding thralls is great for learning to position and aim an enemy into the groups of explodies so you don't get killed trying to shoot them lol
@@KeerPlays i see so you think it’s a better play than an mg? Base liars still better than any of the class item combos with liars or do just use base because you dont have a good roll yet? Jw because ive thrashed my lock now i’m about to play the campaign on my hunter
I think linear is better at the boss if you only plan on using it for tormentor damage (like I did here). However machine gun helps a lot in other portions on this GM if you need it. As for Liars - I have zero drops of class item with Liars, so maybe eventually I will use one but for now I go with just the normal exotic. Having said that, I quite like healing from counter punch on default Liars, it's very useful sometimes.
@@KeerPlays man thats rough yea my rng for my warlock has been awesome so hope that luck carries onto my hunter. Yea the healing is great i love my liars build on arc. Thanks for the reply
Saw the "infinite final phase" description and laughed. Solo looks painful.
I am still very much not used to this last phase with tormentor chasing you around, need to play a bit more aggressive. So for now it's infinite haha
Ah yes the punch and dodge simulator
Absolute mad lad one shotting those barrier champions was crazyyy work
It is definitely satisfying to oneshot champions
Impressive as always!
Cheers!
If that was a boxing match, the towel would have been in after round 1. Great job 💪
Nice job! This is a tough one!
Thanks! It definitely is a tough one. I still do not think that Tormentors are suitable to be GM bosses, that's my only issue with this nightfall.

As always killer run need to figure out ball dupe on console gonna try forerunner this time used this build with Izzy but wiped in agro phase
Forerunner is fine but I think Izanagi is still better, need to hit the shots though haha

Imagine if lucky pants paired with sidearms aswell, it would go off on Forerunner.
Am still yet to get an exotic class item too, never ran it.

It is absolutely fine to use grapple melee and it is much better in many cases. I would definitely go for it in campaign myself.

Yes, the combination blow build is one of the best right now, absolutely love using it
Bro gives you .001 seconds to see his load out 😂
Yeah, that was a bit too quick this time haha. There are always DIM link and GM report in the description though :)
You can always go to options and slow the video down ..?
Just wondering how can you get amplified with a void super ?
Combination blow is an arc melee, so it gives you amplified on Prismatic.
god that cloak is just something else aint it

Is the regular lairs better than the class item version?
that or a class item with assassins/liars for this one i'd say for the longer invis duration.

Why linear fusion?
To do some damage against the boss, you need precision weapons against tormentors.
