This would be good for those who want to run the "plate carrier" configuration but don't want to stop using the harness. But the crye harness has it's advantages of padding and being able to use the crye load distribution system
Sweet rig. Crye is great with innovation and modular & versatile design features. I have gone full circle from pre-9/11 hauling critical kit on top of slick body armor using a R Rack to the 45 lb pig trying to carry it all. I am right back to where you are; K.I.S.S…a 3 mag panel, 1-2 mags on side cummerbund, comms and self-aid. I am interested in seeing your belt setup. There’s 100 ways to skin a cat. But they all end up naked and dead. RLTW/DOL
I couldn’t agree with you more I can’t count how many times I have changed my kit or scaled up and down over the years. I still carry all the shit needed but just got a whole lot smarter on how to do it. Finally got some free time so I’ll be posting a video on my belt and some other stuff.
Thanks for the knowledge transfer brother, a lot of skilled fighters are getting out now after the gwot and good info like this is getting harder to find
Thank you so much for this incredible info. How is the stretch cumberbund attached to the micro harness? Webbing ? If so, Is the webbing attached to the back of the plate pouch or through the harness?
looking at the site its a bit confusing to try to match everything you have... would you be able to put the main pieces and what company makes them in the description?
So out of curiosity, why did you transition the AVS to more the plate carrier set up then utilizing the harness? I’m s combat medic and it has been difficult finding the perfect setup, I keep going back and forth between the AVS And SPC
First sorry for the delay shits been real. To answer your question I have chewed thru two SPC’s so far. They are good kit but I don’t think stand up as well to an AVS. The AVS harness it fine if your hauling a ass load of gear and not in vehicles at all. After the years and having some great brothers “show me the way” I learned to tier my gear and slick down to what I “really needed” it obviously changes due to mission requirements. Having it set up this way for me is a lot less bulk and makes everything easier at least for me. Weapon manipulation is faster, and I don’t snag on shit as much and honestly it was mainly for weight and comfort.
@@shark5575 all good brother. Great set up and review. Was very interested in doing a similar setup for an upcoming deployment. If you can, reach out to me. I’d like to talk shop on a similar kit set up to my AVS
Sorry for the really late response! I will be rotating home in a month can make a video breaking it all down then. I’ll even throw in all the part numbers.
I’m looking on the AXL website and I can’t seem to find the hot swap cummerbund adapters you have on your harness nor the mini harness QD tube adapter. Where did you purchase those and if it was AXL did you have to do anything particular to purchase them?
AXL doesn't sell them for the mean time, I think they're re-designing like how the micro harness was actually not available for a long time and only recently came back redesigned
AXL are some of the best guys to work with. The will build these for you just give them a call and let them know you want some “hot swaps”. I had their first gen, second gen and was a beta for their third gen harness. They are great guys and even if it is special order they won’t rip you off.

Best video on the AVS

Also, how did you attach your tubes to your stretch cummerbund?
Contact AXL the still make the “hot swap micro harness and cummerbund adapters
Would you sell your harness hot swap? 😅 currently Axl is only selling to active military units in bulk.

@@vitosalvaggio1805 Thanks, would more than willing to offer what ever help I can. Give me a day or two.
Just curious, what is it that you do?
@shark what do you think of the CRYE SPC with AXL upgrades?
When it comes to Crye you can’t go wrong with any AXL upgrade! We now just exchanged our JPC’s for the series R and AXL was our first upgrade.
@@shark5575 Sweet! There aren't any really good videos on the JPC-R, Could you make a review of it when you get the chance?
@shark I can't find that hook&loop piece from AXL you have on the back of your front plate bag. you got the name of the piece from their website?
I had the build it for me is a “sub load adapter” give them a call and they will get you taken care of.
@@shark5575 Thanks for the info on what it's called. Found it now. This will definitely make a difference with the way I have my PC configured
Axl is good people
Great stuff
Great config
Beautiful
Good deal, interesting shit and considerations with everything
Do you think the AXL avs zip would work in the cpc?
Roger I have personally used the avs zip in a cpc before. Works just fine
Do have to get the harness to set the bags up this way, or can this done by getting the plate bags by themself?
You can just get the plate bags no need for harness
Do you use a kydex insert on your AVS flap or just using the shock cord for retention? Does it get in the way when reloading?
I use inserts a little shoe glue on Velcro to keep inserts in place shock cord is just there because of our sop’s for aerial ops.
@@shark5575 nice. I was thinking of grabbing the same pouch, trying to look around for any feedback from those who had actual use with it
can you run die SAPIs with the micro harness
Yes you can
Boss can we get a parts list on your setup?

What shoulder pads are those?
They are part of the avs yoke system harness for the chest rig.

Still run’n and gun’n
What do you do? SF?
generally not a good idea to ask these kinds of questions.
Doubt it
