I feel bad for him tho since he is that little girls uncle! :( but yeah it wasn’t the brothers fault he should’ve gone after the person who was actually drunk not his loved one! :(
The person who were actually drunk was in the hospital very likely under police guard as he def got arrested and charged. So the actual guilty party were out of reach so he went after the closest thing.

Just because the person who actually is at fault is out of reach doesn't mean you should take it out on and abuse somebody who isn't at fault just because that somebody is actually reachable. It means you are no better then the person responsible and I don't think the niece when she finally comes out of her coma is gonna approve of her uncle trying to kill somebody that did nothing wrong. Also the guy threatened fireman so he isn't winning any more brownie points.

guy was a coward, instead of going after the people that he actually has issues with, he goes after their loved ones instead, case in point, the drunk driver's younger brother and Severide's sister, he didn't even have the balls to go after the drunk driver or Severide himself despite all his bluster
