I didn't see the PSNI attack anyone! I saw an angry man getting arrested for causing problems
If he isn't big enough to keep his temper then he shouldn't be there. He wasn't attacked he was restrained and it was his own doing. This is really embarrassing to watch.

The 'local' got arrested because he was being disorderly and provocative toward others who were marching. Obviously those marching reacted to the locals annoyance and provocation and the police were left to supervise the kiddies again to stop them squabbling. If you dont like something, why go to look at to be offended? Sit in your house for half an hour and watch bargain hunt or something until its gone.

Sure, they share some cultural similitudes with Irish people, but they clearly possess their own unique culture, bloodlines, nationality, religion and broad political views. It doesn't really matter if your refuse to acknowledge that though, you'd just be a fool in-denial.

It's unlikely they are incredibly inbred to keep pure bloodlines on an island they're a minority. I am British and English with some Scottish and Irish ancestry and look on these goings on with disbelief and I thought we had move past the sort of sectarian hatred ( from both sides ) . Plantation happened , we cant turn the clock back . I like a good parade and marching band , but I am extremely uncomfortable with the Orange Order who seem to be an anti Catholic throwback from a bygone era . As someone who is British and proud I have no problem with them waving the Union Jack , but as a Catholic I am also uncomfortable with the triumphalism of these marches . The guy who got arrested may well have deserved it and he shouldn't have kicked off , but when you are being goaded by people you hate and who hate you back it is difficult . An English Defence League march through parts of Bradford wouldn't be allowed due to community safety issues and I don't see how Orange marches through predominantly Catholic areas are any different . The argument that it is tradition is no excuse .

I let either side get on with their traditions and way. I was there for my Irish partner. I was an English man minding my own business. the thing I always notice about these 'parades' is the fact that most if not all shops and businesses are boarded up and shut, you would think they would welcome all the extra custom they bring with open arms! contrast that to st patricks day parades in the south where almost all shops remain open trouble free and hate free!
