This is the isolated guitar solo from Dyers Eve.

Dyers Eve is just overall insanely hard
Many of kirk's solo in St. Anger are the hardest
haha that was so funny lol xd
💀💀💀💀
What
They were so hard he didn't bother recording them for the album.
I think frantic has the hardest solo on st anger
This solo is insane
Beatiful song Dyers Eve… sad they don’t play it live anymore…
Probably cant
@@BK-yu8xh too fast for ‘em now?
@@andreazampieri5513 yup, Lars said it himself too pretty sure
@@andreazampieri5513 Imagine if they had a different drummer in their prime and actually played this song
@@Lpmp2 I think it’d still be a nightmare for Kirk and James to play
No. The hardest is “the notes in between".
Rythim section on and justice for all is masterpiece, what Hetfield and Kirk did there is outstanding.
He was definitely at the top of his game when he recorded this
...And justice for all is absolutely Metallica's prime
@user-bm6yd8kz9o agreed. Everyone reached peak talent at that point. Its very noticeable how much better Ulrich was in AJFA
@@riocronk3967just imagine if Cliff would’ve lived and played on AJFA… would’ve been better than the 3 before it
2009 France was probably one of the craziest shows and they killed the Dyers Eve, it was Outstanding. This and Mexico 2009 are the best shows they've done
This was the resurrection of metallica on live grounds. The Death Magnetic tour was after their 88-89 live shit tour their very very best.
Hands down, shortest straw. The run before the harmonics and whammy shuffle is a knuckle fucker. The whole thing is just furious.
I’d nominate RTL solo for his best or at least top 3
Love this solo🤘🤘
A solo I 'd bet he had struggled to take a decent take for is The Shortest Straw, what a tune btw..
It may not be the hardest but it’s definitely the best!
Not kirks best but his hardest
It is really good though and imo one of his best
For me it's their best lmao
Just learned today because of this video🎉
Can't tell, but one of his best for sure !
Dyers eve is just really fast there's not really many technically difficult stuff in there but its still very hard, in my opinion the hardest solo is the shortest straw because of the technically challenging stuff in the solo
Creeping death is pretty hard too.
@@The_Great_Letter_E yeah it is
Revocations cover of dyers eve is amazing. Figured id throw that in incase it wasn’t mentioned.
Yeah that version is unreal!
sick
Shortest straw
It's either this or Creeping Death, yeah
Damaga inc✔️
Only if this was is Seattle 89 or Moscow
Whenever some arrogant trolls try to make fun of Kirk I ask them to upload a short video playing this or some passages from And Justice for All. I get sudden silence. They just disappear into the wilderness lol
What song
Dyers eve
Thank you
His hardest, it's possible. 20x better than the shit he writes now, 100%
Hardest solo is the little fast part in Fade to Black intro solo. You know what I'm talking about.
No, I don’t
no i don't
I know what you’re talking about, and I sometimes struggle with that part myself, but it is definitely NOT the hardest solo. One of the easiest solos in the catalog actually
csll of ktulu and shortest straw are very hard too
mustaine wrote call of ktulu not kirk
@@thomassacceddu2021 mustaine only wrote the intro the solo is kirk
@@thomassacceddu2021 Mustaine wrote first 4 Metallica records and half of the songs on the black album right?
@@birkensafttt wh- what? first 4 records? wth bro thinks mustaine wrote 40 songs for metallica in 2 years
@@poep3997 he was being sarcastic
this whole song is pretty hard for me...but the toughest solo would be RTL imo
The shortest straw solo beats this one
Creeping death
Damage inc.?
Nah I can play that and I’ve been playing 10 months only
Unless you want the song the song is dyers Eve
@@ninothebossproductions1613 no I mean hardest solo. And you really tough if you can play it after 10 months
@@testtheme oh I thought dyers Eve was a lot harder
@@testtheme but I can’t play dyers Eve solo to save my life
Eh. Frankly, I've never struggled with this solo. Creeping Death still remains my Nemesis.
Imagine if they had a different drummer in their prime and actually played this song
None of them knew how to play it or wanted to learn it was pieced together in the studio
Imagine if people stopped repeating this joke, lars was perfect for them back in the 80s/90s beyond that is his final tour lol and well deserved
@@phutureproof I am just saying he isn’t the best drummer. A lot of famous guitarists and bands have said publicly that he isn’t the best and held Metallica back back in the days I remember hearing they almost fired him
@@Lpmp2Another drummer would fucked Up Metallica. Lars was perfect, in this álbum showed his cuts without drwaing attention to M's main weapon: GUITARS. Simple as that, Metallica is a guitar band.
@@xenounde0 All parts of all songs (guitars, bass, drums, vocals) are pieced together in the studio. Not just Dyers Eve.
Its hard yes, but a masterpiece it is not. Its very clunky and too random on the wah. Should be better for a song this aggressive.
And we wonder why Kirk doesn't play this anymore😂😂
Yay! I got 👍 #666
no. its not
but it is really fun to play
What is his hardest then? I really thought this was it
i would probably say call of ktulu/ creeping death but it is different for everyone
@@portalboy3187 yeah it depends on what kind of stuff you are good at
@@portalboy3187 very wise
No. Hardest is Creeping Death.
James can physically play it but he cant play it mentaly, not the solo but the riffs etc
Nah. Master of Puppets still
I'd like to hear this solo without the stupid wahwah pedal on.
is this another clickbait channel to ignore?
It’s just wau Pedal Spamming
Actually a bit on the messy side at times......but then, I am not a Kirk fan
For Metallica, Dyer’s Eve was the hardest song they had ever played. But for Dave Mustaine, it wasn’t even worthy of his warm up 😂
Who cares? That's why Dave cries about Metallica every chance he gets.
@@willharry6835 he cries because he’s immensely more talented than Kirk Hammett? That doesn’t make sense lol
@@zentazym1 lol he cries because he’s insecure. He cries because Metallica left him in the dust. If Dave was that confident that he was better than Metallica, he wouldn’t be talking about them all the time for 40 fucking years.
@@willharry6835 Yeah, he’s the insecure one. Metallica were so confident in themselves as musicians that they relied on his work for 2 albums Lmao. That just screams confidence doesn’t it?
He probably wouldn’t talk about it if he wasn’t asked about it during every single interview he’s done. It’s hilarious to me that anyone could compare Dave Mustaine to Kirk Hammett and legitimately think Hammett is the better musician. Hammett isn’t even the best guitarist in Metallica
@@zentazym1 Lol relax Dave fanboy. Contributing to 6 songs out of 18 over 2 albums is not much. That statement alone shows me that you don’t seem to know anything about the real history of Metallica, just like all Dave fanboys who think he wrote Metallica’s entire catalog. So, if you need a little history lesson, just ask for it, and I’ll gladly give it to you.
Second of all, they’re definitely a lot more confident than Dave trying to one up Metallica his whole entire career, talking shit bout them for 40 years.
And being asked about it all the time is just a sorry ass excuse. The interviewers ask about it all the time cause they know Dave will be too dumb to fall into the trap every time and give them what they want.
And lastly, I don’t know why you’re bringing Kirk into the conversation, because I certainly didn’t, but if you wanna go down that road let’s do it. Anyone who thinks Kirk is better than Dave it’s called opinion. Something you clearly don’t know off. Kirk in his prime was certainly a way better lead guitarist than Dave. He used to write way better solos than Dave. Dave never really was a great lead player. Sure he had great solos here and there, but they mostly sounded the same. He was the better overall guitar player because of his rhythm playing and his riff writing abilities tho.
It's just the same random Kirk solo nobody cares if it's hard to play when it's just random notes with a wah on top
Actually for this one he created some melody and it makes sense adding something useful and creative to the song. Nowadays he doesn’t do that anymore so I see where you come from but I still think he is one of the greatest guitar players of the 80’s. He does not stand a chance right now because he is fuckin lazy and that wah over use kills everything. Difficult and awesome solo either way.
Skill issue. I can sing this
