Hello everyone, in this documentary, I made a video on Kolej Perindu, which is among the oldest colleges in Universiti Teknologi MARA, (UiTM Shah Alam). It can accomodate around 1,600 students and has main 4 blocks. The Kolej is led by a 'Pengetua' and a body of students known as the 'Jawatankuasa Perwakilan Kolej' represents the students affairs with different portfolios.
I also provided what you will expect to find there and how to apply to get a room in Kolej Perindu.
Kolej Perindu has the following facilities / amenities which are;
1) Kafetaria
2) Surau
3) TV Area
4) Gymnasium
5) Treatment / Nurse Room
6) Laundry Room / Dobby
7) Assembly Hall / Performance Room
8) Music Room
9) Jawatan Perwakilan Kolej (JPK) Room
10) Recreational Room
11) Mini Mart
12) Printing and Publications Services
13) Computer Room
14) Seminar Room
How to get a room in Kolej Perindu?
1) Online application (go to istudent uitm portal and apply for kolej at this website istudent.uitm.edu.my/index_is..., under eHEP System), if you failed the application, you may appeal. Usually, students from the B40 and justifiable reasons such as social and economic background may be more successful.
2) Collect as many co-curricular activity marks or scores. Or you may go to the Pengetua's office and present your resume or find ways to convince him of you academic, curricular achievements and how you can benefit the kolej or UiTM as a whole (i.e joining several international, national or prestigious competitions / events)
3) Become a member of the JPK to get a free room (make sure you do your work as a JPK or get ready to receive criticisms), or befriend a JPK, so you can use the power of connections and nepotism to get inside.
In other words, Internal Connections / Cable (the most common method, but not recommended for moral and ethical reasons. This method is universally seen everywhere in the world, so it may be right or wrong for some people.)(highly discouraged, but don't make it obvious)
4) Secretly move into the kolej that your friend lives in and set up your own mattress, table and mini-locker. However, face the risk of being discovered or exposed. Potentially getting fined, suspended or expelled from UiTM.

Amazing! I went to Malaysia in 2007 for my degree in UiTM and I stayed in Perindu 1 throughout my first year. It's so wonderful to see how it is almost exactly how it used to be 😅 Thank you so much for making this video. It brings back great memories!

For law students, mostly kolej perindu ke?
For law students, there are two main colleges they would go to. Law students from UiTM Dengkil go to Perindu, while law students from stpm, diploma and metriks go to Perindu.

1. Law students penerapan uitm usually go to Meranti (PI005)
2. Upu/kptm law students go to Perindu (PI007)
