- If your new to gardening you may just have purchased a watering can.
If there's a strange protruding bit just above the spout you may be wondering what its purpose is as its not obvious.
Well, now I'm going to tell you.

They're always inventing a better mousetrap, as my mum would say. Neat idea.
I had no idea, but what a brilliant idea! I've purchased more watering cans just because I'd lost the rose!!! Thanks Jim!
I did not know! Now I’m going to check that out at the garden shop! Misplaced my rose more than once! Thank you!
I never knew that one!
Nope didn’t know that. In fact I’ve never seen a watering can with one. Future knowledge thanks for sharing 😊
They are a great feature.
Bloody Hell ! 1. I thought I knew everything....well I abviously don't. 2. I thought I had everything, well I don't have one of them. You Sir are a genius, I am impressed. Cheers, Muffy from Oz (Australia) PS. you have made my day.
Im going to have a look and see, and then ...l might just have to buy a new one 👍👍thankyou Jim,

One of each, mostly to water plants my hose won't reach.
Knew what it was going to be just from the title.
Don't use them because the rose either falls off into a water barrel when dipping it, or gets knocked splitting the tube and rendering it useless.
Sorry I don't get it, you haven't actually shown how this works? wouldn't the water spill from the main spout before it reaches the little spout?
The little spout as you call it, doesn’t have a hole. It is only there to hole the spray head when you don’t want to use it.
@@AbuBakarsYellowRose Ah thank you, that makes sense now.
