Here's some mythology for you. Kinda necessary for someone to get the video. I'll mix Roman and Greek names, as some of them sound better in one tradition, some in the other, and they're basically the same gods and creatures, just named differently. A Satyr is a half man, half goat. A servant of the god of winemaking, fertility, and insanity, Dionysus(Bacchus, in the other tradition). They are known for being really obsessed with... Adult fun times... Now... Cupid is a nasty one. He shoots golden tipped arrows at people and makes them fall for each other. Or, if he's feeling especially cruel, only shoots a gold tipped arrow at one of them(or even shoots the other one with a lead ball tipped arrow that makes them repulsed with the other person, but that's just a trivia side note). Now... Imagine being a Satyr, with an arrow of Cupid stuck in his back... But the partner wasn't shot. Your urges... your... desires... are now fighting with your new found devotion for the person. And you know they don't feel the same. You would rather bleed out from the wound than fulfill your desires and thus hurt the person you love. The song itself is about a failing relationship, if I get the lyrics right, but the video gives it that special added depth if you're familiar enough with mythology to get what it's trying to say. As an ending note, "You should be with him. I can't compete." might just be one of my favorite lines in recent years.
He’s a satyr which has the lower half of a goat and upper body of a human. These creatures were known in mythology as very lustful, since he has been hit by the arrow (believing that this cupid’s arrow) he is only used to being lustful so the love from the arrow is killing him.
The stuff with 88rising like Midsummer Madness is nice if you want decent "vibe out" music that you dont really feel like paying attention to lyrical content. But Joji has that heart ripped out of chest aspect and it's a beautiful thing
I'm going to be honest. First Vid I've seen and i already love this channel. Good sound and visual quality, open minded, very polite guy, doesn't talk 4 out of 6 minutes and actually listens to the entire song. Great job.

It is one of those songs that sounds, in its arrangement, exactly like the subject of the song. If that seems confusing, just listen to it for twenty or thirty seconds and you'll understand what I mean.
