We may not've won anything, but I still kinda miss this Arsenal. We had Fabregas, van Persie, Nasri, Ramsey, Walcott, Wilshire. Real damn shame their careers didn't pan out the way they should've
Fabregas was the footballer of arsenal, its incredible how good he was in 2010, maybe if arsenal got another season out of him they could have won a title
His 2009/10 season is one of the most impressive seasons individually by any player in the Premier League era but unfortunately goes under the radar of the general footballing public because of the fact that ultimately, Arsenal didn't win anything & that he spent a substantial period of that season nursing injuries. Fabregas was truly immense for us that season. He registered 15 goals & 13 assists over 2192 total minutes played, which equates to 24.35 games during that league campaign. He literally averaged a goal or an assist every 78 minutes in the Prem. He would have been well on his way to hitting 20 goals/20 assists & becoming only the second player to do so in Prem history after Henry had he stayed injury free. He was only 22 years old as well throughout the entirety of that season while serving as club captain. The hype around this guy would be off the scale if he was coming through in today's game. A prodigy in the truest sense of the word. His injury that ruled him out for the run in absolutey killed us that season. We were only 3 points off of the top with 5 games to go or something like that until we lost 3 and drew 1 of our last 5 games to well & truly extinguish any title hopes. He surely would have been a shoe in for all of the Player of the Season awards domestically had he stayed fit. Missed him big time.
Chamakh is not flop at all. He delivered when we need him. He lost the place when Van Persie back from injury. Plus, we have talented strikers at that time, Bendtner and Carlos Vela. Our attacking look sharp especially with all those midfielder, but Arsenal problem is not solving defensive line back then. Really miss this team.
He started brilliantly when we signed him and scored his first 10 goals for the club by the end of November in his debut campaign. To put that into context, Saka (our leading goalscorer from last season) only reached 10 goals for the club in all competitions on 30/01. He actually looked a proper player in the beginning. Aside from his goals, he was technically very good in his link up play when he'd use his physicality to allow teammates to run off of him by playing one-two's & first time flicks around the corner to compliment his aerial ability, not to mention his ability to get in behind against sides that played a high defensive line, as you can see by his goal against Wolves & the amount of penalties that he won during that period by doing so. He was basically like a more clinical & mobile version of Giroud in those first few months. All downhill from there 🙈😆.
I still remembered when they call Arshavin lazy, technically gifted but in modern football he wouldnt have stood a chance at any top 6 with that work ethic. Still so classy on the ball, was definetly my favorite player back then.
This video made chamakh look world-class, and walcott was so underrated, that guy was a cheat code for Arsenal, his speed and his ability to finish made him a nightmare for defenders.
Yeah, Walcott was a lot better than he got credit for. Unfortunately, he was expected to fill the shoes of King Henry, which was not possible. That's why he was never fully accepted by the Arsenal fan base. But what a player he actually was.

Nasri scored a few goals but he was not the best player in England. That's dramatic. He had talent but it was wasted. Berbatov had 20+ goals and was top goal scorer that season same with Tevez they were better. Nasri was too cocky, lacked discipline and was arrogant to the media. Look at him today.

It wasn’t overrated at all. The Arsenal first team hardly played with each other due to injuries. If they had more consistent time together this season should’ve ended the trophy spell.
Stop capping and selling fake dreams dude! Nasri was the most laziest player only relying on his dribbling. Never seen a much hyped player like him self-destruct with his bad behaviour. Moody short tempered and disrespectful towards anyone that wasn't him. I never wanted that rat to on-board at the Emirates but hey who hasn't made a mistake in their lives His acquisition was in my eyes the beginning of Wenger losing the edge with competitors. That was never a good replacement for Hleb because I followed the player from his beginning at Marseille he was all about flair and individualistic showboating everything opposite to the free flowing 1-2 touch pass Arsenal was known for prior to the Invincibles!
If that was the case why was he in the running for pfa player of the year that season? Why did Man Utd and Man City both try sign him that summer? How was Wenger signing Nasri losing an edge with his competitors? Do you even watch football?
@@jasonh4023 yes that's what I'm saying he was after the individual awards but if I count the amount of times where he had the opportunity to assist or give a key pass to a teammate in a better position but chose not to do it was staggering. He was ill-disciplined and brought major disruption in the dressing room. He recently revealed he wasn't scared of Wenger and saw him as a weak individual on french TV. Nasri himself told there was only 2 clubs that came with concrete offers and that was City and Chelsea not United

This season, we honestly should have won all our PL games by January. We outplayed our opponents in all of them.
Imagine djourou n squilaci in your defense😂
Wenger was indeed a genius
This arsenal squad tried so much to put up something remarkable... I think Walcott had the best finishing then
Almunia was a disaster
Makes you appreciate this Raya - Rasmsdale saga
I just want everyone to be aware that the League Cup wasn't sponsored by Carabao during this season. It was still the Carling Cup. It would become the Capital One Cup in 2012, and the Carabao Cup in 2017.
fabregas was still better than nasri in his last season despite not wanting to be at the club
That's a lie bro, nasri was an absolute baller that season
Arsenay Wenger was a great coach
was chamakh really this good?

So weird to see Nasri like this, he looks like a bag of chips now lol
Arsenal have been thru more squad turnover than any other big club 😭
literally
@@phillyjackson1680 like it’s not close either. Every time we got attached to a player as a fanbase they sold em.
That's one of the reasons Arsenal never got a second wind after the invincibles that and SHIT LOADS of injurys more than any of the Top team that time in the premier league
@@johnrockyryanYes and the injury thing continues.Must be something in the way we train because it's been consistently so in the last 15 years or so
@@Shyne282 it always those injuries isn't it must be our medical staff or something God knows

@@goldengoalcompsSOUTHAMPTON SEASON REVIEW FROM 1988/89. WITH JIM ROSENTHAL FROM. CBS FOX VIDEO FOR MR NEIL FITZGERALD PLEASE
Song > Partey
Nasri scored a few goals but he was not the best player in England. That's dramatic. He had talent but it was wasted. Berbatov had 20+ goals and was top goal scorer that season same with Tevez they were better. Nasri was too cocky, lacked discipline and was arrogant to the media. Look at him today.
He was everything that caused Wengers downfall. Egotiscal weak and overrated.
Worlds greatest striker Lord Bendtner
😂😂😂
Chamack
Fabregas
His 2009/10 season is one of the most impressive seasons individually by any player in the Premier League era but unfortunately goes under the radar of the general footballing public because of the fact that ultimately, Arsenal didn't win anything & that he spent a substantial period of that season nursing injuries.
Fabregas was truly immense for us that season. He registered 15 goals & 13 assists over 2190 total minutes played, which equates to 24.33 games during that league campaign.
We were only 3 points off of the top with 5 games to go or something like that until we lost 3 of our last 5 games to well & truly extinguish any title hopes. He surely would have been a shoe in for all of the Player of the Season awards domestically had he stayed fit. Missed him big time.
Chamaka cheat 😂
Gunners still bottled d league dis yr also😂😂
That boy got fat real quick.
This boy got fat real quick.
No.
Nasri > Ozil
OZIL >ODDERGARD
this was the most overrated ssn ever
It wasn’t overrated at all. The Arsenal first team hardly played with each other due to injuries. If they had more consistent time together this season should’ve ended the trophy spell.
Stop capping and selling fake dreams dude!
Nasri was the most laziest player only relying on his dribbling.
Never seen a much hyped player like him self-destruct with his bad behaviour.
Moody short tempered and disrespectful towards anyone that wasn't him.
I never wanted that rat to on-board at the Emirates but hey who hasn't made a mistake in their lives
His acquisition was in my eyes the beginning of Wenger losing the edge with competitors.
I miss song so much. Back when arsenal (song) played through balls in the air. I also miss fabregas, one of my favorite players of all time. I used to pretend to be him playing football when we'd all pick a player to play as. Fuck I just miss old arsenal, I mean odegaard is amazing, but nobody gives me that feeling like old arsenal players.
I miss Sanga
@04foreverinvincible69 bro I just remembered about djourou the other day and it unlocked a core memory. Sagna was dope too though
Шамах был действительно очень крут
Было дело. Но не для топ клубов Шамах точно. Хотя Бордо стало чемпионом в 2010 году, если не ошибаюсь
