Fun Fact: The squad they use in this video, forget the exact name, is an existing team detailed on the wiki. Like you noticed they wear Regular Clothing and Shoes under their Gear, so that in the event of communications being compromised they could unload all their Gear down to having their Civilian Clothing to blend in with the Public as a way to continue to gain intel.
The SCP in the film seems to be an Eldritch Horror. They are horrid monsters of unspeakable evil, dedicated to the eradication of all that exists except for each other and those that worship them as gods. Those that worship are usually transformed and become part of the entity, which would explain the two monster cultists. Eldritch Horrors come in many forms, shapes, and sizes. However, they are usually identified by their tentacles which they use to feed on their victims. They feed on animals and people exclusively, resulting in an increase in size. The one in Overlord must have been feeding for some time to grow to that size(that would explain all those missing posters on the trees). The special ability of this one seems to be invisibility. Now the real question is how the hell did it get there? The answer was in the dead cultist's recording in the basement. They found a Bas-relief, which we see briefly see @35:16 . Bas-reliefs are sculptures that are projected slightly from the stone. Almost like a primitive holograph. As you can see in the time stamp, where the stone would be is just a black void with something semi visible in the middle. The lore behind Eldritch Horrors is that just by looking at it, they will cause a person to go mad and possibly commit suicide. I think Basson saw the Eldritch Horror's face and killed himself as a result. I'm willing to bet, if they were allowed to explore the room where the Bas-relief was, they would see holes throughout the room caused by the thing's tentacles.
Great summary but the missing posters are part of the anomaly, the part where they say "what the f, seems we're expected" it shows posters with the MTF team members' information, nut previously lost people.
He's also working on another short film as well called SCP: Heretic. The most I know on it was a community post Evan put out with a picture of the front page of the script for it. And a shot of some mtf operators. EDIT: He posted an update over 2 weeks with some title concept art too. They hype is real!!!
Fun Fact: OperatorDrewski plays one of the operators, he gets to throw the tear gas grenade and you complimented his mustache, he has a BTS of his perspective of the shoot on his channel and he also makes great Mil-Sim games videos.
This seems to be inspired by the 3-D Specs SCP since it has the same characteristics The beings can be seen through a lense You can harm it,even if you don't have the anomaly But it can harm you as well
Be sure to watch OperatorDrewski's video on the behind the scenes- I'd think you'd be obligated to as a new SCP fan film creator on the block, but that's just me.
They have Airsoft gear because they actually got "funded" I guess? But Evike. So they sent them all the Airsoft guns and vests and accessories. It's pretty cool actually! Evan has a video where he breaks down the production and tells you all about it
This really is the gold standard of an scp film to the formations and military lingo and the proper use of MTF for the tunnels Havre the one slight nitpick I have with it is watching the video play me and them looking at the symbols because they could be cognitohazard or infohazard or memetic hazard they should have sent the information on the flash drive to a proper team for analysis if it has any anomalous properties but besides that it's really really good I'm really glad that you are liking the scp short films
They did say that one of the two in the room when the video played was an analyst, also, you wouldn't take potentially anomalous material off site until you can ascertain whether moving it would cause the anomaly to spread further.
I know recommending videos in your UA-cam comment section is useless and I don't know if you have seen this one already, but I'd like to recommend Nevan Dove's short film "SCP: UNREMARKABLE - Short Film". It's based off an actual SCP, and is about 10 minutes long.
rewatch and analyze this, there were important things you talked over too. Also, watch Combat Veteran Reacts reacting, among other veteran reactions for breakdowns and comments on tactics.
It's original actually. Not in the wiki. Made purely for the film. Same with Dollhouse. I think the other anomalies in his other fan animations are also original.
I hate to be that guy, but the former Marine sitting up front was kind of just shitting on the movie the whole time I get it that they were probably some tactical errors shown but everyone can agree I think that this movie was fucking awesome. You don't need to put someone else down to make yourself look cool

Lambda 5 (I think): Village Idiots
@@devinlarson1947 yes I believe that's it! For some reason I kept thinking Idiot Savant, guess I was close...

37:49 I think Lovecraftian vibes were intentional. Kolinski's line about the Providence operation was a full reference to the Lovecraft mythos.

This needs more likes, this is a great explanation of what sort of SCP they were dealing with
Impressive explanation. Though I wonder how many times you had to watch the video to catch all that.
Excellent explanation I was really looking for some sort of insight as to what the anomaly actually was

When they drop the smoke on the house it's actually a miniature version of the house.
I would really recommend Evan Royalty’s “SCP: Ghost Town”. It’s a really good short film, it’s not live action but it’s very enjoyable.

31:59 funny enough there's a task force in the SCP wiki/verse called Ghostbusters, which they deal with spiritual annomollys
More scp reacts please, especially to different scp files
