I've been searching everywhere for an answer to a question I have, maybe you can offer me some direction. My daughter(just turned 3 thos week) rides her little 12V 4 wheeler like a savage and I have found myself "beefing up" parts like the front suspension already because she broke the welds... which honestly makes me a proud girl dad lol. I'm picking up a NIB Dune racer today for a smoking deal and plan to put a "trailer hitch" on it and build a trailer to tow her 4 wheeler. Here's the scenario I need help with and it'll probably apply to both the DR and Quad, she likes to take long rides on her Quad and these factory batteries just don't last long enough so I end up dragging it home a 1/2 mile or more sometimes. Is there a way to wire in the drill batteries with a selector switch of some kind so that I can let her start the ride on one power source and when it dies switch to the other? For example we'd leave the house running on the factory battery and then when it dies we can turn the switch and start running off of drill batteries to make it the rest of the way home. If not, it's not a big deal. I can just do full conversion to drill batteries and when we take those long rides I can just keep a few drill batteries in a backpack or something since they're soooo much lighter than a factory 12V to carry around lol.
Really appreciate the time you put into this video! I will be improving the turing radius on my boys batman dunebuggy, he will be thrilled he wont need to do 3 point turns to get around the yard now haha much appreciated 👍
my other channel has the full build. ua-cam.com/video/rUnaiJqe1GY/v-deo.htmlsi=U6b4HWb0bi4KVJPB or ua-cam.com/video/qLbbB9S4vuc/v-deo.htmlsi=TpnV2R7ecnSDRK40 . I had meant to move all the power wheels videos over to this channel a long time ago and never got around to it.

Cool.what are the numbers on top of the resistor?
appreciate the tips, installed the break sensor and cant wait to test it out.
Awesome...hope it works well
@@AlteredPopNmodz it does, but the delay is little too much since I upgraded mine to a 24v motors and running two 18v tool batteries 😅
@@UncleIvan1 you can try a different ohm resistor. They sell them cheap on Amazon. I ended up going to a different resistor after a couple months
@@AlteredPopNmodz you got a link?
All the break reduction module is a resistor
yep $5.50cdn from my local electronics shop -- "POWER RESISTORS 25w 5ohm 5% WIREWOUND W/HEAT SINK"
100%. I actually switched later to a different resistance
thanks for sharing
I definitely need to do the turning mod on my son's escalade. Currently it needs around 20' to turn
yeah, that is terrible lol. Thanks for watching
Ty I have this exact dune buggy model for my son
My kiddo loves hers. She is starting to outgrow it though. may need to upgrade soon
Can the power wheel steering mechanism be reused for a different build? 😊
Hey there, do you have a video on how to add a second drill battery upgrade?
Thanks

the background music is brutal to listen to. Maybe do next video without it
