This really doesn't do justice to her contribution to the team. It shows some of her moves, and yet we saw better from a few of the Hopkins opponents. It shows a few steals, and yet doesn't show the disruption to the other team that she caused.
And mostly, it doesn't show how much she helped her team win. The other players on her team understood that if they got open, they would get the ball. But, they better practice their shots. Name another HS girls team that averages over 80% on their free throws. In fact find an NBA team that has an average free throw above 80%.
The impact to the team, contributing to their dominance over 5 years while she was playing, is precisely why UCONN made her an offer. She will make a difference on their team for the next 4 years.
I remember Michael Jordan scoring 63 against the Boston Celtics in a playoff game, and still losing the game. He didn't have the team around him yet. Paige has an understanding of the court that took MJ a few years to get. And her coaches are helping both her and the rest of the team to play at a higher level. Look what MJ did once he could depend on the rest of the guys on the floor. Everyone was better, and they won.
When Hopkins played Park Center this year Adalia McKenzie out-played Paige in scoring. She is really good. On an individual level, probably better than Paige. But Hopkins still won, because Hopkins has balance because Paige spreads the ball around. Adalia was great, but her team was standing around too much, depending on her to do the scoring, I suppose.
Watch UConn and Hopkins next year. Both will be better because of Paige.

Keep watching Hopkins as they still have an excellent team. They have a great coaching staff, and some of Paige's good basketball habits have rubbed off on the rest of the team. Should be a great year.
Then watch UCONN and see PB make things happen.
Shame that her and Hopkins season ended the way it ended with the Corona quarantine...
She is all that and More!!!!!!! And her High School Team Mates are great toooooooo!!!!! She is able to talk on camera also and has court vision that no others have had in long time!!! Like to watch her play at UConn if the internet will show the games, even a day or so late!!!!! Next Level Baby!!!!!!!!! Next Level!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
