Well this is a game and I'm not wearing pants, we can take some liberties.
This at 1:13 ... As someone that has been working in loudly ambients the last 27 years, I can tell you, you dont deserve to destroy your ears by a fucking videogame. IM 47 now and I have a fucking horrible tinnitus. I used to wear all protection things that they gave me, but that was not enough. Now I have this fucking ring in my ears, even during the day with all the ambient noice. And dont make talk about how horrible is during the nights. Take care about your ears people, this shit has no remedy.

An extraction game but just like Red Dead Redemption!!! No auto-aim, same weapons like revolvers, lever actions, molotovs, dynamite, tomahawk, all of the primitive weapons you could think of!!!! The whiskey and cigar and other items would be like stims. Just think of the fights you'd have! You find a lever action, go to the next town, run into a guy shooting bows and throwing molotovs at you! Someone call Rockstar NOW!!!!!!!!!

@@BrassBashers You don't loot in the same sense but it is a well known game in the Tarkov community for being a punishing extraction shooter. You get money if you complete the objective and get out alive thus allowing you to purchase good gear but you lose your loadout when you die. 12 players max per game. It's a lot more arcade like than Tarkov but the gun play is sick.

I like that there's an option to have the guns sound as loud as real life but it's good there's an option to configure the volume.
People are too quick to judge anything, and thats why aqua is the goat he always tries to have fun no matter what hes doing.

@@fragnugget He never said it wasn't accurate. He just liked one gimmick and not the other. He liked the shake because he thought it added to the atmosphere, but not the loudness because, while it was more accurate, it was a worse experience for him. Get over yourself

He's holding the gun like that because the model has to hold it close to the angle at which the camera is placed on the body which makes it x100 funnier. At least that's what I think is happening.

My tinnitus got worse when I played tarkov. I had to quit because of it, so I understand aqua
looks very fun. I think the rewies might be. its a little empty no like big places. kinda bad opimized. and extracting seems to not matter so much

I do prefer loud guns in games, like Tarkov. I don't like when guns AREN'T that loud in games.. But give people the option to make their volume where they want.

That menu is just as cofusing as any other extraction shooter. You are just not used to this one yet.
I almost never play extraction shooters due to inventory management being such a huge part of the game and the menus (where you do said management) is a confusing mess.

The whole standardized time thing was a nightmare for railway and was apparently why it was seen as an important thing to sort out
I think wanting to avoid hearing damage is ok.
The church was typically responsible for keeping time - before clocks they'd use candles which were proven to burn at a consistent rate to determine when their ceremonies would be. They'd ring their bells once at the top of every hour between sun-up and sun-down to help the village keep time, and make it to services. The bells are still rung in some smaller rural locations, where the noise bothers fewer people, and traditions die a little harder.
Edit: And yeah, if you know how to you can get a pretty accurate reading of the time using the position of the sun.
Don't know where you're from, but here in the very secularized French Republic, churches with a bell tower that are not derelict always ring the hours (as well as each quarter hour) and the services. Churches also often have a great clock.

75% of the time steam reviews are more of a suggestion than an absolute fact. There are countless games that get review bombed for stupid things that have mixed and negative reviews that are actually pretty good. Dragons dogma 2 is a great example. There are plenty of people like me that put 200+ hours into the game that can attest that it's a great game with a good gameplay loop even though it has mixed reviews. We live in an age of gaming where a lot of the time gamers just want something to complain about and call every single game they play mid or trash or a dead game and then give it a negative review. Gamers are jaded these days.
@@HaplessOne Since my comment got removed for talking about a certain conflict going on where the devs live, I'll just leave it at this: the devs for this game abandoned their previous game out of laziness. They said they weren't going to release any other games and would continue to patch their last game, which was not true. They proceeded to release this game and another game on the same day.

It's better to actually look up gameplay for any game you're interested in to see if it's good than to trust steam reviews except in really specific situations. Like by all means, read through some reviews but you should never really take them to heart the majority of the time. Like I said, gamers are jaded these days and a lot of the time give negative reviews for stupid and nitpicky reasons.
@HaplessOne This can be true on a few occasions, but I am typically aware if there are review bombs going on. The 37% for this game appears to be centered towards hit detection, and weapon balance. I always look into things before making a rash decision. But in general, peoples reviews tend to guide me in the right direction most of the time.
No video game is worth permanently damaging your hearing for. Tinnitus is no joke and cannot be fixed.

Go watch a real bodycam video and see how loud the gunshots are compared to speech etc. Not that loud because the sound also is recorded through cam. So its not that realistic to have gunshots stupidly loud in bodycam game. Plus realism in bodycam game scenarios would be active ear protection

Had my eye on this one for a while now so stoked to see you play it. Seems to have a decent foundation and a lot of potential. Be keen to see you play more, there seems to be a lot of depth.
Its pretty fun, my biggest gripe is its a persistent map.

@@hyvnglvrd exactly. u can also stay ont he map as long as u manage to survive. BUT the game has some downsides, the menu and crafting is really clunky, movement is kinda clunky but used to be worse and having only 1map ( even though its a fairly big one) will get kinda boring over time.rotating extracts is a nice idea to prevent camping, but it doesnt really work tbh, and its more infuriating then helpful if u dont keep an eye on timers and once u arrive on the extract u have chosen just to realize its not active anymore..... also the playerbase is really really small.
@@hanswurst-ej3qj I actually like the idea of a persistent map and the rotating extracts. Menu doesn't look any worse to me than other extraction games tbh but I have heard the crafting is a pain rn. Appreciate you providing more info. I will keep an eye on the game for now and see what happens with it

Steel front bought Game-Labs, the same developers the created, This Land Is My Land. The company seems to have abandoned the game and their customers due to stopping updates on that game and left all of us out to dry on a game that is 5 years old and still plays like an early access game. Until I see updates on TLIML, I will NEVER buy another game from this company.
