omg i remember i used to watch your vids in college when you'd try to eat for the whole week for only $20. glad you're still making videos!
Mike G is a legend. His brother on the other hand, is more like a Guru of infinite self bettering wisdom. Pretty cool dudes.
Looks like the budget payed off lol
@@lewismaddock1654 Who’s his brother?
@@EpicVideoMaster11 Josh Greenfield, another legend. They started this channel together. It was called "The Brothers Green" before.
@@lewismaddock1654 oh, thank you for this
For some reason, I always think of a "White Pizza" as having a white sauce in place of the tomato sauce.
Right!
We did too! We were so excited to watch about a white sauce pizza, then nope. No sauce 😭
Yeah, I like tomato sauce but I just love the greasy fatty milky white sauce
Growing up in NY, a traditional white pie is ricotta and mozz, no 'sauce' at all, not even a 'white sauce'.
SAME
I love the attention to ingredient proportions and food science as opposed to strict recipes. Thank you.
Best white pizza I ever had was prosciutto, split asparagus stalks and paper, paper thin slices of whole lemon with fresh mozz and parmesan. Not only was it supernatural as a whole, but the fresh cheese and melt in your mouth roasted lemon were such an incredible combo that it made me resent the prosciutto a little (a first) for distracting me.
Salivating just reading this!
Omg that sounds amaze
Your videos have helped me gather entire neighborhoods around pizza night. Over the past 2 years I've had success and more failures getting my pizza right. So worth it. Seeing a bunch of kids picking their toppings and watching me cook up their creations has been some of the happiest memories of my life
I learned to let my dough rest during the kneading process. Thank you! Can't wait to use this tip when I next make pizza.
Cheers. You should try a Pizza Limone, where instead of the tomato sauce you mix/emulsify lemon juice with olive oil and thinly sliced garlic, then after you spread it you use pecorino romano and mozzarella cheese, and drizzle some oregano and black pepper on top. I had this in Milano, great white pizza.
Garlic infused béchamel base with fried mushrooms, mozzarella, rosemary and drizzled with truffle oil to finish is the way I’ve been making “white pizza” for years. It’s heavy, but delicious
I use to make pizza always with the same ingredients like tomate base, oignons, pepers, mozza, goat cheese, black olive.
After seeing this video I'm going to try the white pizza, it seem very tasty,
Thanks for the inspiration !
I have been binging your channel all day long. Very well made content!! 🖤
Love those studio shots along with that video you made of building it. Dream office setup.
Man i love making pizza and thank you so much for showing the process of measuring the water. I didn't know that but thanks a lot.
You're a super-genius!!!
Stay focused on perfecting & improving, my friend!
May God Bless everything you do!
As usual super helpful video. AND best “sales pitch” for sponsor I’ve ever seen. Couldn’t even tell he was in the sponsored segment. Buying one for sure. Thanks!
nice job, great inspiration. love w pizzas. my favourite combo is gorgonzola and pears ( Abate). thank you for the ideas.
Love this tour of white pizzas for inspiration! Those plants 🪴 🌱 in the hair studio made that space so beautiful!

love what you do brother and always look forward to your next post. keep it up as always. ❤️😁✌🏻
Shout out for supporting small neigborhood businesses. What a great guy!
A tip of the hat to Mike for releasing this video a few days before my trip to NYC. I visited F&F Pizzeria while I was up there. The aforementioned white pizza was spectacular, as was everything else I tried. Now, once I pay for the trip, maybe I'll get me one of these mini pizza ovens!
LOVE that kitchen, Mike !
As a long-time restaurant guy - kudos and enjoy!
I love the video style here, showing the BTS, the whole room, seeing computer. Being binging you're channel dude, very Inspiring
Such a nice setup. This channel is a life changer for me after the 15 min dinner video. 👍
Your cooking techniques are amazing. You have produced several soup videos, but I would love to see your take on chicken curry pho. I don't think you've done one on that yet.
Hey man, could you do an episode on quiche/vegetable pies? Things to do, things to don't, and lots of inspiring ideas would be welcome!
I have a series idea, maybe do like a 15 part playlist where each video is just a simple family meal for the evening. Just so people who dont cook so much can add some meals to their arsenal and cook for the family...
Yes this is a terrific idea!
I lately had the best pizza I've ever had in my opinion, it was called "genovese" and it had white beef ragu with a light tone of white wine. After googling I think it's inspired on an italian pasta dish called "Ragu alla genovese"
Using the ratios for the dough worked out great. The only thing I did different was mix in dried oregano and honey.
was expecting you to make a stop at Best Pizza but that’s okay! i’ve been recreating Best’s white pizza at home since going there on a trip two years ago, but now I’m very interested in trying these other combos you have presented!
Your studio is very neat and organized and I like your precise instruction.
What a breath of fresh air. Love white pizza!
Loved the info and method. Enjoyed the format of the video. Keep up the awesome work!!

This office / kitchen you have is amazing!
I am amazed at how affordable the Ooni Ovens arel Thank You for a video that makes me drool and a way to cook pizza because soon my stove is out the window.
Fantastic idea! Unless I make my own tomato sauce, we get indigestion. My tomatoes aren't fruiting much for another month, so white pizza sounds ideal! I love the pesto and caramelized onions with a hit of lemon, but might just try pistachio honey sometime too. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this. Been looking for a way to jazz up my white pizza.
Lovely great job
Viiittoooo!!! Love your videos!!
wow! that oven is spectacular
I absolutely love your studio it is so cool dream of a cooking set up like that amazing! you are right I wanna make white pizza everyone does red.
I like a really fine drizzle swirl of a really good balsamic vinegar to finish my white pizza. Adds a really nice contrast.
You should try the German "Flammkuchen" it is awesome
As a german, i say YES! 😍🤗😍
Prepare for the French comments my friend 😉 Flammkuchen is from Alsace AND yes! it is very good
Oh man my wife misses Germany daily because of that. We had a place we’d go and get colaweissen and flamkuchen. And the rolls at the festivals that had the yogurt pudding stuff Inside. Started with a D. I miss German food and bier
It's from Elsass actually so it's french
German?! My alsacien side is very angry at you mein freund 😉
Such a fun video! Can’t wait to try these.
I recommend trying potato pizza, it's actually quite awesome. You have to find a high quality, small, new potato, and then slice it really thin, so it cooks in the oven. I love a potato pizza with rosemary, olive oil, mozerella and bacon
I had a pizza with pesto, potato and pear once, so good!
That's the kind of slice you would find in New Haven at Sally's apizza. Only traditionally I would hold the bacon... however you can throw some caramelized onions on there
I strongly recommend Yotham Ottolenghi's potato pizza recipe : with a mascarpone base mixed with sage, anchovies, and a zest of lemon. It's just the best !
@@julesfourest2025 That sounds delicous! I just made a four cheese pizza, but now i regret not making the one you just mentioned!
potato pizza is AWESOME
I been making these at work and it's SO easy with an industrial level pizza oven and frozen dough, at home not so much lol
White pizza at New England Pizza in Newark Delaware was my first white pizza. I loved it. My favorite white pizza was in Connecticut. My favorite will always be Margherita. Nice video.
I want one of these ovens so bad! Definitely going to start saving up for one. I would love to see more recipe idea for this oven beyond pizza

Great video. Do you have a more detailed video on the dough, especially the kneading?
That oven is amazing. I love white pizzas and will definitely incorporate some honey next time.
Mike, you never fail to create a fascinating video. Love all of them but mainly the sourdough & pizza ones. Some more pizzas to try in Brooklyn? Leo Pizza and Bakery on Havermeyer. And L'Industrie on S 2nd and Havermeyer. Thanks for inspiration!
I do a cream cheese, parm, lemon w/ some zest base with a drizzle of honey, and bacon potato and rosemary (rolled in garlic infused olive oil, which I also use as a drizzle at the end) and potato toppings, inspired by jamie olliver's white pizza, that quickly became my firend's and familly favourite, I do other white pizzas as well but that one seems to be the favourite
🎊 mate I have a (Mystery Box) package for you, Text the above username for acknowledgment
you need to try the ''reblochon pizza'' in France, it is CRAZY GOOOOOOOD
I would love to see you create a pizza using pomegranate glaze or pomegranate molasses in the recipe
Nice video, I'm sorry, it looks soooo delicious, greetings from Toronto Canada
Do you have a recipe for a sourdough pizza dough? I love the flavor of my sourdough starter and I'm always looking to incorporate it into every baking endeavor I do.
ILL BUILD ONE legit forwarded all the way through this to see how the oven worked, also that bacteria shit in yeast was useful. ill try it
also this shit looks dry my guy why didnt you make some sauce and meat maybe?? dude and fuck man ur girlfriends gotta be mad, if my guy put that little cheese onit, id be pissed
Hey, not sure if you read comments. But I found interesting combination that I love to make at home for white pizza.
I use Gorgonzola (or try other blue mold salty cheese), goat cheese with honey (I am in EU, but I am sure you can get some in US), Mozz +1 cheese of your chose - can be ricotta or maybe provolone.
As a bonus I drizzle garlic oil on top and around when the pizza is done. It has very interesting combination of sweetness, saltiness, garlicky and cheese taste. I love it
Missed you Mike!
Your office is my aesthetic!
I’ve had a couple of oonis running pellets and to be honest I never noticed any wood style effect on the pizzas so I switched to a gas / wood multi fuel unit. Gas is Incredibly convenient
Exactly my experience. The Ooni Fyra is a great, simple, outdoor pizza oven and fire management, while rewarding, is key to success. Because the pizzas cook so quickly, they don't pick up much smoke flavor (and pellets don't smell all that much). It's best to heat the stone to the max (I like 900º), then close the damper so the bottom cooks and the top doesn't burn. Cooking back-to-back pizzas requires reviving the flame - easier with gas.
gday guys yousound like youve used these ovens a bit. can you tell me what the refresh time on the stones is like? can you just keep placing pizza after pizza in the oven? or need a reheat time on the stone?
@@intheframemedia gas definitely. You’ll get back up to temp in 60seconds as long as you’ve done a decent preheat before your first bake. Pellets - I had a nightmare to be honest. Just too inconsistent.
@@intheframemediaA variety of factors will impact stone recovery time. Ambient temp for one. The smaller Oonis have thin stones (not much thermal mass). You can't go back-to-back. In summer temps (~90ºF), the stone will lose about 200º cooking the first pizza. When you take out the first, get the flame roaring again while you make the second. About a 5 minute reheat works. I made 4 pizzas this way recently. If you're working alone, you'll want that time to prep your second pie. If you make them all ahead of time, they'll be sticky when you go to launch.
thanks guys , im using 4 of the stainless gas ace pizza ovens in my shop, loose some heat when going back to back but still hot enough to cook medium thickness heavy topped pies in 3/4 mins
been looking for replacements as there getting old now
Looks delicious!
my new fav dough recipe! came out superb in my OOni... even on my 1st attempt! but i had to place on a pan...the dough was much more sticky than im used to! hopefully with some more experience under my belt i can ditch the training wheels lol (pizza pan) still came out amazing!
Oh, man I LOVE white pizza. This looks so delicious, as always. So, I wonder if there is any way to make a fluffy pizza dough GF?
Made delicious pizza this week with a tamarind chutney instead of tomato sauce, red capsicum, onion, falafel, baby spinach, parsley and a little cheddar cheese. Mmmmm……..delicious 😋
phenomenal
Another excellent video, I hope you had some friends present to eat those magnificent pies. Hmmmm I checked out the Ooni website, love the price point of them I could go for that pellet oven.
What a fantastic video.
An Ooni has been on my wishlist for AGES and I'm finally ordering one - now I have a great video to watch to go along with it!
It's worth it. Love my Ooni Fyra... Just.... Dont try puff pastry pizza at max heat... That didnt work as well as id like :D
Hi! Thanks for all the good information! How far ahead can you make the dough?
A great pizza has great tasting dough to finish the meal, not burned edges.
I think that the (frozen) white pizza I buy around here in central Illinois has a garlic-heavy sauce- not just cheese.
im Australian and when I visited NY in 2017 the best pizza I ever had was at forcella !!
I need one of those ooni's!
I think bianca al prosciutto is my fave white pizza. not sure what the cheese combo is but it's topped with arugla prosciutto and parasean shavings. used to get it at a great napoli style pizza place before I had to give up gluten.
My favorite combination white pizza is shredded whole milk mozzarella , chunks of fresh mozzarella, chunks of either foxglove/Camembert (or some mildly “stinky” cheese), Caramelized onions, fresh minced garlic and roasted whole garlic.
Then top that with crushed pistachios, sesame seeds, Za’ater, fresh cracked black pepper and pecorino Romano for the bake. (Maybe some bacon, prosciutto or mortadella if you’re craving meat)
Then when it’s finished, paint the crust with olive oil and top the crust with flakey salt so it adheres (I’m convinced everyone needs to do this to their crusts) Then grate some Parmigiana, add a few squeezers of olive oil (roasted garlic olive oil if you have it)(also can work with sesame oil) and top with flakey salt (smoked if you have it). If you have a spray bottle and can fill it with some vinegar (white distilled is the easiest, but pickled red onion brine is my favorite) and just spray a couple squirts onto the pizza (not crust) it really brightens the flavors.
It’s a lot of different ingredients but if you’re a fan of these flavors it’s a pretty mind blowing combination that packs a punch of deep, sophisticated flavor.
thank you !
I'm only half way through this video and my mouth is watering soooo much! I need white pizza immediately now 😫

In another video, you mentioned what food you could eat every day. This is it for me :-)
Parmigiano, Ricotta, Feta, Mozzarella, san marzano tomato, basil, garlic. My favorite white pizza ingredients 💪
Finally a great pizza video for people that are nightshade intolerant, thank you!!
i have one of these pizza ovens. For me getting the pizza in the oven sometimes is difficult. tastes good even when messed up
That is the cutest little portable pizza oven! Why am I so hungry for some good white pizza right now? ;-)
I love to watch you make pizza.
I was intrigued by the Ooni brand of portable pizza oven.
I thought there must be some Finnish influence in the company
as the Finnish for oven is "uuni"
checked their website and one of the founders / owners
is a Finn.
Nice pizza dough recipe and advice BTW
wish i had any of this gear to whip up wwould be so much fun
Those pizza ovens are fantastic
The amount of pizza you consumed in this video gave me heartburn just looking at it lol
Emily's white pizza made me hungry right after eating.. it looked amazing
Love this ❤️❤️❤️

I made a wheat crust pizza and added sautéed onions and spinach with provolone, gouda and Monterey Jack.
Nothing to do with amazing pizza but, where did you get that amazing timetable transit board above the door? I could use one for my place.
I made a alfredo sauce pizza..was a white sauce..I baked at a pizza place loved the taste..

do an irish pizza
spread sour cream on dough. Top with sliced cooked potato, sauteed onion and bacon then top with any cheese sprinkle chives ....its amazingly good for breakfast
excellent video, excellent.
Grandma and grandpa are visiting next week...I know what we will be making, thanks
looking good
That emily recipe is almost like a baklava pizza, maybe that's how they came up with the idea
I was just thinking about that.)
My Grandmas white pizza only had garlic oil, anchovies and thin sliced onions. The older I got the more I liked it.
I must really like Mike. I'm diabetic and have no business watching a pizza video. Back to a mozzarella base and toppings for the regular oven.
Fathead is a great choice and so low in carbs… keep at it.
@@esalenchik Oh I've reached my goal weight and them some. It still fluctuates within 10 lbs, but I'm happy with that.
Awesome.😀
My favorite recipe for a homemade white pizza is mixed burratta for the base, then shiitake mushrooms, coppa and scarmoza.
I love that youre sharing the math!
