Very informative video, watched lots of others to try change my fuel pump before coming across this, the others didn’t mention the little o-ring at the top of the fuel pump I ended up having to take bike to shop that was the problem wished I had watched this video. Can I make a suggestion you put in a tutorial about getting that little green clip off on the outlet hose, I struggled for ages trying to work that out... otherwise great video

I was able to use a pair of long handled needle nose pliers to squeeze the green tabs at the base of the connector( don’t squeeze so hard that you break the tabs). Then you push down on the connector towards the fuel pump assembly and then pull the connector from the fuel pump assembly. Came right off the first try. Hope this helps.
The repair manual states,”do not use tools.” I couldn’t press the tabs with my finger because there isn’t enough room for my fat fingers so I had to use a pair of medical forceps to squeeze those green tabs and I slowly managed to remove without damaging anything.
I'm having an issue with my 2007 420 Rancher fuel injected 200 orig miles where it cranks but wont turn over. Fuel pump sounds like it working, makes that buzzing sound when i turn key on. By any chance is this similar to the issue you were having? I will happily compensate you for your time if you advise remedies the problem
Yea, I’m not 100% sure what your issue is on that. When I had a similar issue I replaced the fuel pump relay 38580-HP5-601 But also make sure there is no dust or moisture in any of the connections first
Got a problem with my 2015 420 maybe someone here can help. Accidentally got about 2 or 3 oz of water into the fuel tank ,didn't notice it till it stopped running. Drained the fuel,cleaned the tank.replaced the injector,i broke it, changed the throttle position censor, changed the fuel lines,snapped off the injector body inside the line. replaced the in tank fuel filter and pump. It'll idle but boggs down when i give it a slight push on the throttle. Running straight gas no ethanol. HELP!!
Why did your pour the dirty petrol from the pump reservoir back into the tank? Tip it into an old saucepan and use it to clean things with. Next video... Think of all the tricky bits that someone will strike who have never done this, or much mechanical, before.... Make your video instructional, not just info

Ya I need that info too, I'm trying to fix my quad right now
Nip together the green clip with one pair of thin long nose pliers, then gently use a second pair to remove it that line.
It would be nice if you showed actually taking it out and disconnecting fuel lines

How did you know the pump was gone, inside your gas tank was it bubbling and not running well?
Sorry I haven’t seen this! I put a multi meter on the pin slots and it was getting power, but the pump made no noise or vibration like it was working

@@mudgrippmike3489 Mine came out with a squeeze on the clamp and a wiggle. Dont break the clip.

Maybe the air fuel sensor on the throttle body, sorry I haven’t had this problem
@@Adam-uy9zb had someone with more information than me. He said he's pretty sure it's the ECU. Got it ordered now to wait until I install it......

@@brockruenger7543 the problem was , after$400 in shop fees, a bad sparkplug. Change that first . Hope that's the problem
