Diving To the Wreck Of The Titanic- The Titanic Shipwreck

- The shipwreck of the RMS Titanic lies 4,000 metres under the Atlantic Ocean.
In the summer of 2000, Rory Golden was chosen to be the first Irishman to see the Titanic lying in state in her Atlantic grave. The journey, though exciting, was tinged with sadness and emotion.
Rory returned in 2005 and viewed the upper decks, Captain Smith's Cabin and the crumbling main mast. For more information on the Titanic shipwreck and Rorys journey, go to www.the-titanic.com/en/Gallery...
Amazing how humans landed on the moon before they could find titanic
Haha that’s actually kinda funny- but sad. And dumb
@Peter Griffin cuz the titanic is cooler than the MoOn
@Peter Griffin yeah
@@buzz-likes-bees the titanic isn't cooler than the moon what the hell are you smoking. The titanic is just a stupid cruise ship. You clearly are ignorant if you think that.
@@The_Bad_Guy. bro leave me alone, it’s a joke
Once a beautiful ship now a mysterious, Erie gravesite.
It is a bit spooky down there i must say
Thanks just go & spoil the end of the film for me would you? :(
Thanks Dr Mario!

Sad
I'm sad that Titanic will be eaten away ;(
Sam Rittler yeah
Yeah.
Bacteria sucks but whatever,
@@Mr.UtahRaptor how do you know that
@@Mr.UtahRaptor This is one of the most stupid things I have read in awhile. There is only ONE Titanic. Titanic II is being made in China of all places. The whole thing is just a sham of a project. If you think it's going to be an exact replica think again. Like any ship built today, it will have to comply with modern regulations. So much will be different just because of that. The nail in the coffin is the project is experiencing so many financial problems and setbacks it's not likely to ever be completed.
That’s very sad
He’s right only those that have seen the wreck are lucky to have seen it when their own eyes. For the rest of us we’ve just seen it in videos and pictures, but hey thanks to them at least we’ve seen it. I’m very Thankful! Thank you all. I remember TITANIC everyday because I have posters, books, and pictures in my house. It’s story is always going to live no matter what year it is. The wreck is not so lucky. It’s deteriorating away.
Im 32 now...been reading, exhibits, studying, and more since I was 7...what I'd give too visit her ;(
I agree bud, I'd love to visit the Ole girl also
I grant it's an interesting piece of history. But chances are you would leave feeling a lot sadder than when you arrived.
Even though she is at the bottom of the ocean and many people passed on that day we will never forget about it. She will eventually leave us for good but I'm glad there are still videos out there and documentaries about it. To be honest, it's is a part of history that should never be forgotten.
Completely agree
Rory gave a presentation to my primary school about this journey, about 2 or 3 years after. One thing I always remembered was him first showing us a normal paper cup, and then this tiny little cup (about the size of a big toe), which we were told was originally a normal paper cup that shrunk massively in size after being exposed to the water pressure on the ocean floor outside the submersible.
If I went down to see the Titanic shipwreck, I’d probably cry 😭😭😭😭😭
I want to see it!😭
Mee too 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Believe it or not he came in to my school in ireland and he is an irish man he told us everythinv about it
What school was that Jack?
I'll tell you what was eerie, sitting in my van on the 100th anniversary and hearing a recording of the titanic's whistle at the exact moment it blew as she was leaving Southampton. That was spooky. I wasn't loud enough to carry to where I was unlike if it was real, then I would have heard it from my house.

I wanna go but it’s impossible for me and this video has made me really jealous 😂😂 I love that ship so much
Must be an unbelievable experience actually seeing the bow for the first time in real life
If you could step out and walk on it would you? Obviously it's impossible but could you or would you find it to eary, touching the rusticles on the prow,u think I'd find it too spooky it'd give me the creeps like a hundred big spiders crawling over my skin lol
@@paulanthony5274 I would
The decks Mostly made out of timber floor so would be very slippery and rotten Health and saftey would have a feild day!
Just know that one day in 1912 there were alot of people screaming for their life on that site!!!
It would be cool but also extremely frightening. It’s pitch black until u come to the bow of this ship frozen in time. So scary.
Hauntingly Beautiful
2:19 i cried
@Mr. McCluckster ya dear
Paddy tells a great story!
Wow, I did not realize the Nomadic was still with us! If she could only talk, I bet she has some amazing stories to tell too!
epiphaknee The Nomadic is sadly the last living shop involved with Titanic. The Olympic was scrapped in 1935. The Carpathia, the ship that rescued passengers from Titanic, was torpedoed and sank during World War I, and the Californian, the ship that was close enough to Titanic to see her lights (they sadly were unaware she was sinking) was torpedoed and sunk during World War I as well.
I love the memorials left behind. Very touching. ❤
Shipwrecks....terrify me
i hate deep water and they look creepy
Lord Marvin for real deep dark water with sharks in them and who knows shark can probaly swim around the titanic
too deep and cold for anything with teeth i would think.
ps4 gaming sharks aren't in those areas
Lord Marvin ikr
I know people want to raise the titanic but she wouldn't make it to the surface. she is so weak and fragile it would do my damage then good. even when she sank over 100 years ago, i think she wouldnt make to the surface. sad to say but it's better for her to rust away and be here with us for another 100 years then not at all.
Anthony Flaten yeah it will last longer if we leave it there
If you rise it it well break
But leave the titainc in pice rest and pice titainc
I think the best option would be to freeze it that way it wouldn’t fall apart on the way up , Money can do anything, even the experts say so
wait i read somewhere that if u go deep down to under 700m your body will crush because of the water pressure but isnt the titanic like 3000m under water??
i find the story of the titanic so interesting
It sad tho
Powerful video!!
That was truly incredible! That's nice to know that the Nomadic was restored. I did not know that. :)

Is there anyway that someone like me could go down and see it?
Yeah. For about 100,000 dollars you can get a crew with equipment to bring you out there.
Camille Ross right!!! I’d love to go down and see it
Maybe in the future
@@reapapollo2126 hi
If you’re rich
Most awesome vid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He should have actually went inside and picked up things to see if there was still stuff there that no one found I would love to see that and I wish I I can go see it
impossible, the bulk and the stern are too far apart. and most of her valuebals are already beneath the sand, besides as time goes on she will more and more collaps in on herself
Awesome story!, ive been asking people if they had the opportunity to either take the plunge to see the titanic...or blast off to the moon, which exhibition would some of you guys rather do? I personally have been a fan of titanic since childhood id take the plunge!
She is still beautiful. Raise her up, save from dissappear
They can't raise her up
Titanic is a tomb for those 1500 who perished at her mercy.
The titanic is too weak to be lifted up, plus it would be disrespectful too because it’s the grave of hundreds best to leave it there
It’s a resting place for people and history
Impossible and wrong
Fascinating upload. Thank you for this.
Just incredible don’t know if I could have the balls to go down there
Your balls may have saved your life by the look of it.
I like the intro music
Me too. It sounds enchanting!
sadly soon there will be nothing left :( i hope the world will never for get the story of the people who where part of her story i pray for the ones who lost there lives on her
At 4:22 who sees a Skelton hand in the left
Wonder which comment told you that...
@@quazar3640 no it's there I see it the person probably was falling off and tried to pull themselves up but wa as too late
It's just sea life of some kind. There's no way bones would still be there over a hundred years later. All of the bodies and bones were gone within a few years after it sunk.
@@marlonisaac1 Yep after 100 years all of the bodies have dissolved
Is that Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland in the intro?
wow it takes two hours to get to the bottom where titanic is located in the bottom of the ocean?? it has to be scary going down in complete darkness know that if anything happens to the submarine you will be dead in a second with all those tons of water pressure on top of you
Yea. I would say so.
titanic was a beauty. but she has became a ship wreck. a night to remember her
The ship is still very beautiful 😢
Is the building behind built to scale of the ship?
I wish we could scoop it all up and bring it all home and make a museum of it all
Please upload latest footage of titanic
I'd love to go see the wreck!!!
mostly I would love to see the STERN section. I think we may have gotten enough of seeing the bow thousands of times on documentaries , they provide good shots , from good angles to see alot, if not the whole wreck on the ocean floor. But I have yet to see footage of the Stern section!!! That part of the ship is important too!! Third class passengers, immigrants, looking for a better life in America, would be there looking at the ocean as they awaited their arrival to a new world! It was also the last moments that the passengers had before they fell into the lethally cold water and freezed to death!!
So if they can provide footage of the Stern section from a wide/panoramic view angle!! In the similar fashion that it was done with the bow in the 1997 movie!!
I do know that it's barely recognizable. I've seen paintings showing that it's nothing but twisted metal! As if a bomb exploded in the Stern. It didn't fill up with water, air pockets still inside as it sank, Stern imploded as it sank, tore it apart completely!
It was still part of the ship, therefore it must be shown in documentaries! Seriously what the fuck???!!!!
I totally agree with you. The bow may be the most well preserved part of the ship to this day, the stern definetly needs some attention too. I mean, it's litterally the second main part of the ship. And even if she's completely destroyed and there's not that much to see, i want to see how she ended. Plus, we can still recognize a bit the very back of the stern and, to think that hundreds of people passed their last moments on that part of the ship, it's giving me chills because she definetly saw most of the chaos that night...

Also makes me curious to know how long did the Titanic's paint last.....after it landed on the ocean floor? A year? A few months? Before bacteria started eating the steel away and ice forming on the rails and the walls!!!
Just imagining the wreck down there in the dark bottom. if the technology to reach it would be available at the time it sank.....to get images of the ship with it's paint fresh and steel intact. Before it started

Looking to add things to the bucket list.
Looks like I might have to add diving to the wreck of the Titanic!!!
Would have to save a year and a half's income to make it happen!!!
Or unless I won the lottery. LOL
@@antonioelaventurero9117 Well, if you don't know already, on a digital painting of the wreck, you can still see white and black paint on the port side of the very bow and even letters that form " T I T A N I C " wich is crazy. Go have a look on google and see by yourself ;)

It's now a graveyard 🙏 we respect it as so🇺🇸
😢
he made finding the titanic seem sad I would be happy to find it.
It's probably because it was a tragedy. Looking at all of that probably made him realize how scary it must have been to be aboard that ship.
The crew of the R.M.S. Titanic wanted and wished to make head lines and to have fame well they got what they wished for but in such a sad way R.I.P.
It was $35K yrs ago when I last checked the cost to go down.
I almost did it.
I think about it now, I honestly don't know how I would handle it.
Tight space, that far down, that monster of a ship, I question it now 2018
I think it's $250k now
so it is falling apart and there is no way to recover it. The Titanic was sixty meters high but in this video it seems only a few things of the upper part are still there. It is also strange how such a colossus ship made out of steel can break apart. There was no explosion. Both parts are 600 m apart from each other what means that the ship already broke apart when it was just about to sink.
R.I.P all
WHat was the wreck looking like
Wow I have always wondered what would happen if u touched it and it would just turn into dust?!?!
XMittens it's over 100 years old so of course it will fall apart if you probably touch it
Well yeah
No it wouldn't if the water pressure isn't destroying it then touching its wouldn't
Matthew Triem there's water in all the decks so therefore pressure doesn't exist on top of the ship itself
I've always wondered how any structure can stand up to the water pressure that deep. Titanic has no advanced underwater protection around it. How does the structure remain standing?
Actually, thats not quite true. The whole ship below the waterline was painted with anti fouling paint which, to this day, is still preserving that iron and the mud is protecting the part of the ship imbedded in it. Robert Ballard spoke about it quite a bit. There are ways and technology to apoxy paint the titanic where it sits
How can we visit her
For all who was on board:
Continued Rest In Peace
Hey how are you? I would ask permission to use some of your videos on my channel and translate them into Spanish , I hope so can because they are truly amazing videos. Thank you very much, I hope your answer.
Madrigal Studios Entertainment no
Yes you can even if he doesn't allow u it's a different vid can they're saying different words in a different language hop dis helps
did anyone else see a skeleton hand at 4:20?
Nope some sort of ocean life. Weak human bones like hands will break from the intense pressure and if not they will dissolve with the salt water. If you do not trust me watch this video. Same place no “hand” ua-cam.com/video/NEhEHZOHKrM/v-deo.html
Yes! I did.
That's not a human hand
Yeah 😱
I did😨😨😨😨😨😨😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵!!!!!!
2018???
Sub they used here seems much more professional and reliable than OceanGate's tin can.
Im proud to have.my country own the titanic
how can they reach that deep level without being crushed?
Submarine
Not to long and this will be just a memory sadly I don’t believe she will be around for 10-20 more years
R.I.P
most of us will never eve r be able to dive down to the wreck so at the very least trying to salvage the ship is our only hope of ever seeing her again raise the titanic!
Jay Leslie You can't. It is impossible. She can't survive the raising. One because her superstructure is so fragile now, merely touching it can damage her beyond recognition. Two, the cold water and lack of oxygen at her current depth is what is keeping her as intact as it is. Raising her to the surface would expose her to warm air and oxygen which would react with the rust encasing her, causing her to disintegrate in minutes. Her steel is too fragile. She wouldn't even survive the journey to the surface.
They're working on a copy of it right now. It will be sailing in 2022.
It`s sad the Britanic the sister went down the same way .
It's scary ..hoe deep it is
I don’t know if it’s just me but if I ever see a ship underwater and it’s freaking huge I’ll be hella scared
Or depressed.
There's no toilet? What to you do for 12 hours. I'd need the toilet so many times in that amount of time. Amazing video though
Better not eat Taco Bell
Most submarines have pee bottles
+tracey cross They take a pill to stop them from having to go.
Actually, we don't. Fast the night before, and then mind over bladder control. But there are pee bottles just in case!
They take pills to dehydrate themselves or they wear depends
I want to see that Old broken ship
You'd have thought they'd have got the okay from a proofreader before getting that plaque made.
Why what’s the error?
My great great great grandmother or something was on the titanic she didn’t make it r.i.p
the titanic sank on my b day
Can’t the remains of the ship bring back to the shore?
Why though?
They are in pods if they would of got out they would be crushed by the pressure
Wouldn't it be impossible to scuba dive that deep, as it is way below the area that'll kill you from water pressure?
Yes, which is why they use submersibles.
RobandLarry Sampson well duh, hah silly me
Mr. Murica yea it will when u get back up to te serfece your bones will shatter and crush
It's a shame this shouldn't be alowed to happen We should raise titanic who with me
EthanMusic TV. even if we tried she would fall apart. here are some reasons why we can't
1. There is so much pressure against her that even trying to move her a little bit (if it is possible) would damage her incredibly.
2. the tempature and lack of oxygen is the entire reason everything is still managing to stay together. so lets say by some maricle they manage to bring her to the surface, the mi cute she hits air, she will fall apart rapidly.
we should simply let her rest in peace and not disturb the graves of the people that died with her.
Could a human ever go to that place like outside the submarine?
Totally imposible mate. I mean like without a submarine we still don't have the technology in diving gear to go that deep and I'm guessing by the time we have it she will no longer be there. Sad but true.
Im watching titanic right now LOL
What i wanna see more than anything is the front of the ship
Imagine touching the titanic with gloves built into the submersible
There has to be some kind of tiny remote submarine the size of a RC car with superpowerful lights and a go pro that they could get better video with its beyond me why someone doesn't do it
Alty In order to go the wreck now, you have to have a permit. On April 15, 2013 (100 years to the day of the sinking), the wreck of the Titanic was declared a historical site and mass grave. In order to visit her, you must have government approval, have your own supplies, have the money to get the permit. You would only be allowed in her vicinity for up to 20 minutes. You cannot even sail within 4 miles of the area above the site legally without a permit.

I learned about the Titanic in school C.B.S
Joe Obrien so did I
The titanic sunk down so far down the ocean. That if a human scuba dived there is starter gear they will die without drowning.
If you came out the sub you would be crushed by pressure
Maybe people could get the old titanic u might be able to get it up with a MASSIVE strong hard rope well itl cost a thousand ropes of thoose or they could repair the crap i realized thats impossible
Neon Donuts no due to extreme destruction to the ship by corrosion it will just break into bits
I sad that it will be eaten away by bacteria rest in piece titanic i actually have a very good idea to take it to the surface but no one would lisen to a 11 yrd anyways rest in piece the most beatiful ship in the world
I saw someone moving
Anyone notice right when they look at the beggining of the ship there's a skeletal hand, creepy !?
No, it’s some sort of ocean life that likes to live on old wreckage’s. (Not sure though)
It’s not a hand, but did give an eerie effect.
I WENT TO THE TITANIC MUSEUM!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D true story no lie
Kayleigh Sloan same
you should have grabbed some priceless memorabilia when you were down there
Leave the wreck as it is. It's a memorial to those who died.
joei1382 Why? So only rich people can visit it? Imagine if we never put anything in museums because of this ludicrous thought that the artifacts should stay where they are....Imagine that. What a travesty that would be.
No, you don't disturb a place like this. Leave it as it is. Fuck museums. No one has broken into the Arizona to take stuff out. The Titanic has a final resting place; you don't disturb things like this.
To be honest, I think its probably a bit difficult to bring stuff up from there because of how deep down it is, so unless they found something utterly priceless they probably wont bring anything up from there.
joei1382 to late
me to yo
Its a graveyard. It shouldn't be disturbed
For those who wants the Titanic raised, we shouldn't. It's already a graveyard of the people who died INSIDE the Titanic.
Pagreance also it would be impossible due to extreme corrosion. It would just break of into bits
Kinda, All the water pressure would’ve broken up the bodies. Their clothing still remains though.
Not a mystery engineering disaster steam engine and explosion remove double bottom and broke titanic in 2 piece. And sink into the ocean
the titanic was actually a different boat called the olympic because if you look closely on the side of the ship you can see a m and a p
@Tilly Almost no one knows about this. I remember seeing a documentary (maybe you did too?) where a submersible clearly discovered the letters MP on the wreckage. Can't find the doc anymore, probably removed. Sad too, because it would be the only nail needed to expose this 100 year old hoax.
