It's not a great film by any means, but I've watched it so many times for Debra Winger. She's incredible. She projects so much warmth and humour and sexiness without ever really trying. And I think she and Redford are wonderful together - so much playful chemistry. I love the montage over the end credits. I wish they'd co-starred in more films.
What a classic movie about injury attorneys and divorce attorneys. Yes, Debra Winger is hot and has exceptional eyes..she was great in Urban Cowboy too...
Don't know if I'm in the minority or not, but I've never found Daryl Hannah to be attractive. Too skinny, somewhat severe facial features for a woman and a creaky voice.
One of my favorite actors since The Natural. He could be a father to the guy on Simon and Simon. I think his name is Gerald. Not sure. Anyway....very classy actors. Both of them. Love them a lot.
I've long thought that this is the single cleverest use of out-take footage that I've seen in a film: implying that these are vignettes or flash-forwards to their future life together, after the end of the story.
Apparently this is not the only ending to this film- I've seen one TV version where Chelsea admits to the press that she's guilty, and there are as many as 2 other endings in the can somewhere that exist
I saw that ending when it was on TV. I was hoping somebody would put it on UA-cam, but alas, no. It did break the continuity, though, so I can see why they cut it out. First she says Forrester deserved to die, so Logan, Kelly and Chelsea all go back inside where they confront her and decide to defend her in a new trial. But then Kelly and Logan are back outside sitting on the steps in this scene as if nothing happened.
Debra Winger is fine actress but she was rather young, so I feel her role would have suited Jane Fonda far better. What a missed chance to reteam Redford and Fonda!
Cris Guia i agree Jane Fonda shouldve had the role of Kelly because Debra Winger was too young for Robert Redfored in this movie she was born in 1955 you may know that Jane Fonda was born after Robert Redford she was born in 1937 and he was born in 1936
debra = you look a lot like my ex - hannah dudack of ilford essex. anyway why does the UK not have a written constiutition. No bill of rights and they left the European Union which in my mind is a waste of time. Bring back the franc, deutscmark and lira
I could never understand the reason why so many people disliked this movie: perhaps our Italian dubbers helped to boost the success of the movie. Debra is not as hot as Daryl Hannah, but she's brainy and brilliant, Bob Redford is sympathetic. Daryl is hotter here than in the Kill Bill movie franchise
No, it didn't. A much bigger factor was her reputation as being argumentative, stubborn and just plain difficult to work with, according to directors including Reitman. It didn't help that while she was supposed to be promoting this picture, she was instead badmouthing it. Not many studios want to deal with that.
@@amightysailingman She had a lot of momentum up to this point with terms of endearment Officer and a gentleman and urban cowboy. After this movie did not live up to its she never was that big ever again
I don't know why so many people disliked this movie - I loved it!!
Shelto: Its 2021 & I still loooove it!!!
I liked it
great movie. love the chemistry between Winger and Redford
Her voice is very attractive.
Debra Winger has the best hypnotic eyes I have ever seen on screen.
Love this clip! Debra and Robert look like they are a real couple! Also check 'singin in the rain' scene

One of my favorites of Ivan Reitman films
RIP
I agree Debra Winger does have great eyes.
Fantastic movie
Love this movie. Robert Redford was so hot in this days!

Lawyer: You are soooo CORRECT😘
Huh? Neither of them were injury or divorce attorneys. He was an assistant district attorney and she was a criminal defense attorney.
love this movie and the song
big eyes, hypnotic eyes, unforgettable eyes, she has great eyes! it's more about Debra than Daryl
Cristi 8: Debra Wingers eyes? The most BEAUTIFUL ones.
I agree Debra Winger has lovely eyes and a cute smile.

Great soundtrack!

This movie ended up killing Debra Wingers career. She was so annoying in it.
