This isn't a brand that I usually wear, but it will happen if makeup gets on the lace. If I find that happening, but the wig doesn't necessarily need washing...I'll carefully clean the lace only. Some lacing has a little more shine than others, and sometimes that also can be what causes that, and that can be helped by carefully pouncing on a little bit of finishing powder. ;) This was a brand new piece that I haven't even done a Wig Chat for quite yet. ;)
