    DOC, i been noticing that the chicks around me have been leaving the brooder fast in less days then they used to, and they get their feathers faster also, that leads me to believe that the genetics are changing in the chickens. great video, thank you for the tips!!

    Very nice progress, we as poultry farmers we have to think more to another step from there you are, the fore step Am thinking to be is to have a hatchery unit but the challenge Am facing to be there is a difficult to get parent stock for layers...can we make it easy with you?

    We are doing Rhode island reds.
    Started with 2male and 2female chicks but one girl died.
    Now have 12.
    One of the roosters let's me scratch his neck and when I stroke his back he does a little dance.
    The other one just wants to attack me when I collect his girlfriends egg.

    Your videos are really inspirational and I love watching them,,,,,,,,, I have one question and one suggestion depending on the anserr to the question,,,,,,,,, can you sell white shell chicken eggs in your area,, if you can, maybe concider the white leghorn breed,, as they are prolfic layers for pure breeds they don't go broody but with incubator you could breed your own replacement birds,, downside is half of them will be cock birds you would need a good market for them

      @@FarmUp I'm going to tell you my experience... I have free ranging chickens and free range broilers... But at some point have predators and for a few months have to keep my birds locked up... And I notice the color of the eggs got very pail... So I started to soak and mix alfalfa with the feed, and soon after that, all the eggs starting to get a super bright orange color again!! Si it is a cheap way to add valeu to the eggs, as long as you get a good price...

      Yes. It's standard for layers. 8 birds per sq metre in cooler climates. Then I've shared a video about feed amounts before

    "BROILERS" This is the rule.
    8 meters x 15 meters = 1274 sq feet or 1274 birds = 1 sq foot per bird.
    Feeders = 50 birds +/- per 50lb feeder ÷ 1274 = 26 feeder's 🐥 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥
